Procedimiento para la producción de W-lactama y precursores relacionados en particular de epsilon-lactama, o los precursores correspondientes, en particular la ciclohexanonoxima, partiendo del ciclometilenceteno correspondiente, en particular el ciclopentametilenceteno (CPMK) con formación simultánea de cantidades de productos colaterales utilizables, en particular de ácido ciclohexancarboxílico (AEB), caracterizado porque comprende formar un aducto entre el ciclometilenceteno y el SO2, en particular un aducto CPMK/SO2 y hacer reaccionar dicho aducto con un agente nitrosante para obtener un aducto nitrosado que puede dar, por reacciones sucesivas, la lactama deseada, en particular la epsilon-caprolactama o un precursor suyo
