Abstract
An alloy, which is resistant to corrosion by boiling sulphuric acid of 50-65% concentration, has the following percentage composition: .Si.at least 7 .Ti.1-5 .Cu.1-4 .Mo.1-4 .Ni.the balance, the Si and Ti contents being such that Si + 0.5 Ti is between 9.5 and 11.5. The alloy may be used as-cast or may be annealed at 1000-1100 DEG C. for 4-24 hours.
