Abstract

A collecting head for heater/radiators in heating and air-conditioning systems for motor vehicles, having a flange-like body made of polymer material, an inlet-side collecting housing (13) and a return flow collecting housing is described, in which the inlet-side collecting housing (13) is provided with a cover (17), in which a cock with a shut-off and choke element (18) for the flow of the heating water is incorporated. The shut-off and choke element (18) consists of a swivel sector which can be moved, sealed in a chamber (19), between the cover (17) and the floor (130) of the inlet-side collecting housing (13) and can be actuated by means of a pin (180) which penetrates the cover (17) in a sealed fashion. As a result, the structure and the fitting and replacement operations of the heater/radiator are simplified and, at the same time, the seal of the cooling unit and the mode of operation of the cock are improved for the purpose of achieving exact choking of the flow of water.
