Abstract
Un procedimiento para producir ácido sulfúrico por oxidación catalítica de SO2 a SO3 y absorción posterior del SO3 en ácido sulfúrico, en donde el SO3 es introducido en una primera fase de absorción (absorbente primario) y absorbido ahí al menos en parte en ácido sulfúrico concentrado, en donde el SO3 no absorbido en la primera fase de absorción es suministrado a una segunda fase de absorción (absorbente secundario) para la absorción adicional en ácido sulfúrico concentrado, y en donde el ácido sulfúrico es enfriado después de pasar a través de las dos fases de absorción, en donde el enfriamiento del ácido sulfúrico se realiza en al menos dos intercambiadores de calor conectados en paralelo, en donde uno de los al menos dos intercambiadores de calor es operado como evaporador parcial y es enfriado con agua de alimentación de hervidor/vapor y el otro es enfriado con agua de enfriamiento y operado como enfriador de ácido puro, en donde el ácido sulfúrico efluyente es guiado desde la primera fase de absorción hasta el sumidero de la segunda fase de absorción, o que el ácido sulfúrico efluyente es guiado desde la segunda fase de absorción hasta el sumidero de la primera fase de absorción, o que el ácido sulfúrico corre hacia un sumidero común y/o un tanque de bomba común de los dos absorbentes, caracterizado por que en el absorbente primario el ácido sulfúrico es guiado en flujo co-corriente hacia el gas que contiene SO3 y por que en el segundo absorbente el ácido sulfúrico es guiado en flujo contracorriente hacia el gas que contiene SO3.
