Abstract

Utilización de un acero para la fabricación de cascos de submarinos, comprendiendo piezas en acero de grosor comprendido entre 15 mm y 150 mm, ensambladas por soldadura, caracterizadas en que la composición química del acero comprende, en % en peso: 0.030 % <=C < 0.080 % 0.040 % <= Si <= 0.48 % 0.1 % <= Mn v 1.4 % 2 % <= Ni <= 4 % Cr V 0.3 % 0.30 % V Mo + W/2 + 3 (V + Nb/2 + Ta/4) <= 0.89 % Mo <= 0.15 % V + Nb/2 + Ta/4 <= 0.04 % Nb <= 0.004 %<= Cu <= 0.45 % Al <= 0.1 % Ti 0.04 % N <= 0.0300 % siendo el resto hierro e impurezas resultantes de la elaboración, siendo el boro una impureza cuyo contenido es inferior a 0.0005% y P + S <= 0.015 %, cumpliendo la composición química la siguiente condición 410 <= 540 x C0,25 + 245 [Mo + W/2 + 3 (V + Nb/2 + Ta/4)]0,30 <=460 teniendo el acero una estructura esencialmente martensítica, comprendiendo al menos un 90 % de martensita, máximo 5 % de austenita residual, máximo 5 % de ferrita, teniendo el acero un límite de elasticidad comprendido entre 480 Mpa y 620 Mpa y una tenacidad Charpy V, Kcv, a 60 °C, superior a 50 J.
