Abstract
Una composición que comprende un carragenano kappa tradicionalmente extraído que se ha sometido a un procedimiento de intercambio iónico, en el que el carragenano kappa comprende: un contenido de potasio de 5 mg/g a 30 mg/g de carragenano; un contenido de calcio de menos de 7 mg/g de carragenano; y un contenido de magnesio de menos de 0,2 mg/g de carragenano.
Claims (7)
- REIVINDICACIONES1. Una composición que comprende un carragenano kappa tradicionalmente extraído que se ha sometido a un procedimiento de intercambio iónico, en el que el carragenano kappa comprende:un contenido de potasio de 5 mg/g a 30 mg/g de carragenano;5 un contenido de calcio de menos de 7 mg/g de carragenano; yun contenido de magnesio de menos de 0,2 mg/g de carragenano.
- 2. La composición según la reivindicación 1, en la que el carragenano tiene una temperatura de gelificación de entre 10ºC y 27ºC, y una temperatura de fusión de entre 23ºC y 43ºC.
- 3. El uso del carragenano de la reivindicación 1 o 2, en un producto de cuidado personal, un producto 10 alimentario, un producto para el hogar, o un producto farmacéutico.
- 4. Un procedimiento para producir la composición según la reivindicación 1, que comprende las etapas de:extraer un material de partida de carragenano kappa con una disolución de tratamiento acuosa alcalina para formar un extracto de carragenano kappa;poner en contacto el extracto de carragenano kappa con un material de intercambio iónico catiónico ácido y reducir 15 el contenido catiónico del extracto de carragenano kappa para producir un extracto de carragenano kappa sometido a intercambio iónico.
- 5. El procedimiento según la reivindicación 4, en el que la etapa de contacto incluye disolver el extracto de carragenano kappa en agua para formar una disolución de extracto y añadir el material de intercambio iónico a la disolución de extracto a un primer nivel de concentración, siendo el primer nivel de concentración igual o menor de20 200 g de material de intercambio iónico por litro de disolución de extracto.
- 6. El procedimiento según la reivindicación 5, que comprende la etapa de mezclar el extracto de carragenano kappa sometido a intercambio iónico con un segundo extracto de carragenano sometido a intercambio iónico que:(1) es un extracto de carragenano kappa o iota; y (2) ha sido tratado con un material de intercambio iónico catiónico ácido a un segundo nivel de concentración que es diferente del primer nivel de concentración.25 7. El procedimiento según la reivindicación 5, en el que el primer nivel de concentración es de 1,25 g/g de carragenano a 10 g/g de carragenano.
- 8. El procedimiento según la reivindicación 4, en el que la etapa de contacto dura de 5 a 30 minutos.
