Abstract

Acoplamiento mejorado para cañería, caracterizado porque en particular es para usarlo en la conexión de cañerías hechas de mezcla de asbesto y cemento, en que se emplea una empaquetadura anular resiliente entre los componentes macho y hembra de la cañería, uno de los cuales es ranurado, y caracterizado también porque la empaquetadura resiliente (6 ó 39) tiene una superficie periférica libre (11) adaptada para hacer contacto con la circunferencia ahusada (25 ó 33) de uno de dichos componentes, teniendo dicha superficie periférica libre dos nervaduras anulares diferentes (23, 24 ó 41, 44) que definen una superficie frusto-cónica imaginaria que tiene una conicidad que coincide sustancialmente con la conicidad de dicha circunferencia ahusada.
