942,790. Pipe joints. WASAG-CHEMIE A.G. July 5, 1962 [July 5, 1961], No. 25907/62. Heading F2G. A joint comprises two pipe extensions 1 and 2, one of which has a groove 3 for the reception of a spring ring 4 formed with a cylindrical collar 5 and the other of which is formed with an abutment, the extensions being held connectible by a sleeve 7 having an internal annular recess 6 for the reception of the collar 5 and held by the abutment of the extension 2. The sleeve may have grooves 8 which house 0-ring seals 9. To disassemble the joint, a cord or wire is used to radially compress the ring 4 so that the sleeve is slidably withdrawn from the extension 1.
