cabo un experimento de barrido de tiempo (TS) con una frecuencia aplicada baja de 0.1 rad/s en la cepa seleccionada (como se determina por los experimentos SS) para revisar la estabilidad de la muestra durante prueba.
Medición del Módulo Elástico de Fusión G’(G"=3000 Pa) y G’(G"=500 Pa) y la viscosidad de corte Dinámico Complejo, η100 y η0.01, a 190°C
5 Luego se lleva a cabo un experimento de barrido de frecuencia (FS) a 190°C utilizando el nivel de cepa seleccionado apropiadamente anterior entre el rango de frecuencias dinámicas de 0.01 a 100 rad/s. Los datos reológicos dinámicos así medidos luego se analizan utilizando el software de reómetro (viz., Rheometrics RHIOS V4.4 o Software Orchestrator) para determinar el módulo elástico de fusión G’(G"=3000 Pa) y G’(G"=500 Pa) en dos valores del módulo viscoso de fusión de referencia (G") de G"=3000 Pa y G"=500 Pa, respectivamente. Si es necesario, se obtienen
10 valores mediante interpolación entre los puntos de datos disponibles utilizando el software Rheometrics.
Las viscosidades de corte dinámico complejas medidas en Pa.s, η*(0.01) en una frecuencia dinámica de 0.01 rad/s, y η*(100) en una frecuencia dinámica de 100 rad/s, se determinan directamente de los datos η* del experimento de barrido de frecuencia (FS) medido a 190°C.

Las resinas de los Ejemplos 1-9 luego se forman en cintas utilizando el proceso descrito anteriormente, durante los cuales la película de la que se cortan las cintas se estira 7, 8 o 9 veces. Las cintas se someten a pruebas de resistencia a la tracción con el fin de evaluar su idoneidad para uso en aplicaciones tales como redes. Se realizan pruebas de tensión a 23° C en un índice de estiramiento de 200 mm/minuto, con un calibre de 200 mm, un rango de carga de 2500 N y un rango de extensión de 2000 mm. Los resultados se muestran en la Tabla 2 adelante, en donde los Ejemplos 1-6 se pueden comparar con los ejemplos comparativos 7-9.

Para las cintas, cuando se aumenta la tenacidad, se reduce la elongación hasta ruptura. La tenacidad se puede aumentar al aumentar la relación de estiramiento: en los ejemplos anteriores, las cintas se estiran 7, 8 y 9 veces.
5 Todos los ejemplos bimodales (Ejemplos 1 a 6) exhiben tenacidades mayores que los ejemplos monomodales (8 y 9) mientras se mantiene por lo menos la misma elongación residual. El Ejemplo 7 tiene tenacidad menor que las resinas monomodales debido a su índice de fusión excesivamente alto MI5. En todos los ejemplos, aumentar la relación de estiramiento de 7 a 8 y luego a 9 resulta en un aumento de la tenacidad de aproximadamente 20-30 % cada vez, con el valor de tenacidad de estiramiento 9x es aproximadamente 50 % más de estiramiento 7x.
