Abstract

Procedimiento para la preparación de un polímero isotáctico de estireno, por polimerización de estireno en presencia de un catalizador preparado poniendo en contacto un halogenuro de un metal del grupo IVa, Va o VIa de la tabla periódica según Mendeleeff, en cuyo halogenuro el metal tiene su valencia máxima, con un compuesto organo-metálico de un metal del grupo II o III de dicha tabla, caracterizado porque el catalizador es preparado añadiendo el compuesto organo-metálico al halogenuro, y el estireno es añadido al catalizador durante la preparación de éste o es mezclado con el catalizador después de la preparación del mismo.
