Abstract

Un proceso para preparar olefinas ramificadas, caracterizado porque el proceso comprende deshidrogenar una composición isoparafínica que comprende 0, 5% o menos de átomos de carbono alifáticos cuaternarios sobre un catalizador ade- cuado, habiéndose obtenido la composición isoparafínica por hidrocraqueo e hidroi- somerización de una cera parafínica, y la composición isoparafínica comprende parafi- nas que tienen un número de carbonos en el intervalo de 7 a 18, de las cuales parafi- nas al menos una porción de las moléculas está ramificada, siendo el número medio de ramificaciones por molecula de parafina de 0, 5 a 2, 5, comprendiendo las ramifica- ciones metilo y opcionalmente etilo, comprendiendo las olefinas ramificadas 0, 5% o menos de hidrocarburos alifáticos cuaternarios, en donde la cera parafínica se obtiene en una síntesis Fischer-Tropsch.
