ESTAS MOLECULAS SE CARACTERIZAN PORQUE POSEEN UNAS MASAS MOLECULARES DE 160 KD, DE 70 A 80 KD Y DE 30 A 40 KD SEGUN QUEDA DETERMINADO POR SDS-PAGE Y PORQUE SON CAPACES DE ENLAZAR LA MOLECULA TGF-(BETA)1. ESTA FAMILIA DE MOLECULAS ES UTIL PARA LA IDENTIFICACION Y/O CUANTIFICACION DE LA TGF-(BETA)1 EN UNA MUESTRA ASI COMO PARA INHIBIR SU EFECTO EN LAS CELULAS.
