Abstract

La invención se refiere al procedimiento para la preparación del ácido quiral 3,4-epoxibutírico representado por la fórmula (1) y la sal de éste, en el que se emplea como materia prima la hidroxibutirolactona-(S)-3-activada u otro material barato para realizar una reacción eficaz de apertura de anillo y una epoxidación con una inversión del centro quiral.
