Derivados de 5-aroilnaftaleno. La invención se refiere a compuestos de fórmula (I), en donde A, Z, R1, R2, y R3 tienen el significado expresado en la memoria y en las reivindicaciones. La invención se refiere también a composiciones farmacéuticas que contienen a los productos antes mencionados, a métodos para su empleo y a métodos para la preparación de esos compuestos. Los productos de la invención son inhibidores de prostaglandina G/H sintasa, y se usan como anti-inflamatorios y analgésicos.
