Abstract
PROCEDIMIENTO DE DEPURACION DE AGUAS RESIDUALES Y VERTIDOS CONTAMINANTES EN BASE A CULTIVOS DE MACROFITAS EMERGENTES CONVERTIDAS EN FLOTANTES. LA PRESENTE INVENCION DESCRIBE UN SISTEMA DE DEPURACION DE AGUAS RESIDUALES Y EFLUENTES CONTAMINANTES, BASADO EN LA UTILIZACION DE PLANTAS ACUATICAS DEL TIPO "MACROFITAS EMERGENTES" ACONDICIONADAS PARA MANTENERSE EN FLOTACION SOBRE LA SUPERFICIE DE CANALES, LAGUNAS O BALSAS POR LOS QUE DISCURRE EL AGUA CONTAMINADA. LAS PLANTAS FORMAN UN MANTO FLOTANTE SOBRE LA SUPERFICIE ACUATICA, MANTENIENDO SUMERGIDO EL SISTEMA RADICULAR, Y LOS RIZOMAS Y BASES DE LOS TALLOS. LA PARTE SUMERGIDA PRESENTA UNA GRAN SUPERFICIE ESPECIFICA SOBRE LA QUE SE FIJA UNA ABUNDANTE FLORA MICROBIANA, CUYO CRECIMIENTO SE FAVORECE POR EL OXIGENO QUE BOMBEAN LAS HOJAS HACIA DICHA ZONA. EL CONJUNTO FORMADO POR LAS RAICES Y MICROORGANISMOS ACTUA COMO FILTRO QUE ELIMINA LA MATERIA ORGANICA DISUELTA, ADEMAS DE LOS COMPUESTOS MINERALES (FOSFORO Y NITROGENO ENTRE OTROS) QUE SON ABSORBIDOSPRINCIPALMENTE POR LAS PLANTAS. PERIODICAMENTE LA BIOMASA FLOTANTE PUEDE SER RETIRADA FACILMENTE Y UTILIZARSE PARA FINES ENERGETICOS O INDUSTRIALES.
