Abstract

PURPOSE:To house a battery by using a space of a car body rear part effectively, and heighten a degree of freedom of layout of various parts of a motorcycle and a motor tricycle by arranging a liquid vessel and the battery in the space formed between a seat and a rear fender in a vertically superposed condition. CONSTITUTION:In a motor scooter type vehicle, an upper surface opening part of a rear upper cover 17 being a part of a body cover composed of synthetic resin is covered with a seat 20 fastened by a hinge on the front end so as to be openable and closable freely, and the front end of a rear fender 18 covered with the rear upper cover 17 is brought into contact with a rear wall of a luggage box 21. A battery box 26 is formed integrally in this contact part, and the front end of the battery box 26 is opened in an opening part 211 to be closed by a cover 28. A battery 27 is taken in and out of the battery box 26 from inside of the luggage box 21. An oil tank 30 is arranged above the battery box 26.
