UN SEPARADOR INTERPUESTO ENTRE EL CUERPO LAMINADO DE COMPONENTES GENERADORES DE POTENCIA QUE COMPRENDE UN ELECTRODO DE COMBUSTIBLE, UNA CAPA DE ELECTROLITO, Y UN ELECTRODO DE AIRE PARA SUMINISTRAR UN GAS COMBUSTIBLE AL ELECTRODO DE COMBUSTIBLE Y UN GAS DE AGENTE DE OXIDACION AL ELECTRODO DE AIRE SEPARADAMENTE, CON LOS CANALES DE LOS GASES AISLADOS UNOS DE OTROS. PLACAS COLECTORAS DE CORRIENTE Y PLACAS LATERALES CONSTITUYEN UNAS CARAS DE PARED Y SUS PERIFERIAS EN CONTACTO CON EL ELECTRODO DE COMBUSTIBLE EN EL CANAL DEL GAS DE COMBUSTIBLE Y CON EL ELECTRODO DE AIRE EN EL CANAL DEL GAS DE AGENTE DE OXIDACION, RESPECTIVAMENTE. LAS PLACAS ESTAN HECHAS DE MATERIALES DE PLACA FINA EXHIBIENDO GRAN FLEXIBILIDAD. COMO LAS PLACAS LATERALES DEL MATERIAL DE PLACA FINA SE PUEDEN DOBLAR FACILMENTE EN UNA DIRECCION EN LA QUE SE LAMINAN LOS COMPONENTES GENERADORES DE ENERGIA, AUN SI LA DIFERENCIA EN EL NIVEL DEBIDO DE A LAS VARIACIONES DE LA PLACA COLECTORA DE CORRIENTE, SU SOPORTE Y LA PLACA LATERAL SE PRODUCEN DESPUES DE LA FABRICACION, LAS DIFERENCIAS EN EL NIVEL SE ELIMINAN POR EL CURVADO DE LAS PLACAS. ASI, EL CONTACTO DE LAS PLACAS CON LOS COMPONENTES GENERADORES DE ENERGIA SE PUEDE UNIFORMAR Y SE PUEDE IMPEDIR A LAS FUERZAS LOCALES EJERCER EN LOS COMPONENTES GENERADORES DE ENERGIA.
