LA MORFOLOGIA DEL RECUBRIMIENTO DE UN OXIFLUORURO DE CERIO SOBRE UN SUSTRATO CONDUCTIVO DE MEJORA CON LA ADICION DE TANTALIO, NIOBIO Y/O OTROS METALES PENTAVALENTES, MIENTRAS QUE UN RECUBRIMIENTO DE OXIFLUORURO DE CERIO MUESTRA GRIETAS QUE PUEDEN EXTENDERSE A TRAVES DE TODO EL ESPESOR DEL RECUBRIMIENTO, EXPONIENDO ASI LAS PORCIONES LIMITADAS DEL SUSTRATO A UN ATAQUE CORROSIVO, EL RECUBRIMIENTO CN ADITIVO PENTAVALENTE TIENE UNA ESTRUCTURA SUSTANCIALMENTE IMPERMEABLE.
