ESTE PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA ELIMINACION CON SULFHIDRICO A PRESION, DE ARSENICO Y OTROS METALES EN AGUAS RESIDUALES PROCEDENTES DE PLANTAS INDUSTRIALES, COMPRENDE LA FORMACION DE SULFUROS DE DICHOS METALES MEDIANTE ACIDO SULFHIDRICO GASEOSO A PRESION Y SEPARACION MEDIANTE FILTRACION. LA REACCION SE LLEVA A CABO MEDIANTE APARATOS DE CONTACTO GAS-LIQUIDO DEL TIPO REACTOR EN <T> Y TORRES DE RELLENO, CON REDUCIDOS TIEMPOS DE RESIDENCIA INFERIORES A 10 MINUTOS. LA REACCION ES PRACTICAMENTE ESTEQUIOMETRICA, LA ACIDEZ DE LAS AGUAS PUEDE SERINFERIOR AL 1% SOSI4HSI2, EN PESO, OBTENIENDOSE UN RESIDUAL DE SHSI2 EN LAS AGUAS DE MENOS DE 500 PPM, QUE PUEDE ELIMINARSE POR INSUFLADO DE AIRE DESPUES DEL FILTRADO DEL SULFURO DE ARSENICO Y METALES PRECIPITADOS. LA INSTALACION COMPRENDE BASICAMENTE REACTORES DE MEZCLA EN <T>, TORRES DE REACCION EN DOS ETAPAS A PRESION, UN FILTRO PRENSA, UNA TORRE DE DESGASADO Y UNA TORRE DE ABSORCION ALCALINA.
