Abstract
PURPOSE: To recover Mo, U, V separately by subjecting an acid extracting soln. contg. Mo, U, V to repetition of sulfiding treatment, oxidation treatment and alkali neutralization.
CONSTITUTION: A sulfiding agent such as H2S is added to a sulfuric acid leaching soln. of Mo, U, V, to allow the contained Mo to settle as MoS2 which is filtered off. An oxidizing agent such as H2O2 is added to the filtrate in such a way that its standard apparent potential attains ≥600mV and it is controlled to 5W8pH with an alkali such as NaOH. A sulfiding agent such as H2S is added to the filtrate filtered from the formed precipitate, so that V is settled and recovered as vanadium hydroxide. The precipitate in the previous process is dissolved by the addition of a mineral acid, after which it is neutralized with an alkali such as NaOH and the formed precipitate is filtered. The precipitate is again filtered by the same treatment to separate the precipitate and this precipitate is again separated to the filtrate and the precipitate by the same treatment. Uranates are gathered in the finalprecipitate and are thereby recovered.
