Abstract

Grenade which can be fired from a tube, containing a firing chain with a percussion fuse. This fuse consists of a detonator (28) that ignites an explosive charge (3) or similar object and of an axially displaceable percussion element (5) with two firing pins (7, 8) pointing in opposite directions. A spring-loaded slide (24) which prior to firing is held by a locking pin (12) that can move in the longitudinal direction of the grenade and disengages during firing, carries the detonator charge and puts the firing chain in a safe position, which it locks in an active position. Of the two firing pins (7, 8) of the percussion element (5), one is intended for actuating a detonating cap (10) of a pyrotechnic charge (21) and the other for actuating the detonator charge (28). The locking pin (12) is arranged parallel to the percussion piece aperture (4) and is released under the gas pressure of the ignited pyrotechnic charge (21) thereby moving the slide (24) which interrupts the firing chain.
