LA PRESENTE INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCEDIMIENTO DE TRANSESTERIFICACION DE METACRILATO DE METILO POR UN ALCOHOL PESADO, EN PRESENCIA DE LITIO COMO CATALIZADOR, CARACTERIZADO PORQUE LA CANTIDAD DE LTIO UTILIZADA ESTA COMPRENDIDA ENTRE 6 Y 30 PPM (EXPRESADA EN LITIO) DE HIDROXIDO O DE CARBONATO DE LITIO, EL COMPUESTO DE LITIO UTILIZADO SE AÑADE PROGRESIVAMENTE AL MEDIO DE REACCION, Y LA REACCION SE EFECTUA EN PRESENCIA DE UN FORMADOR DE AZEOTROPO QUE DA, CON EL METANOL, UN AZEOTROPO QUE HIERVE A TEMPERATURA INFERIOR A UNOS 60JC.
