  • protection is sought for a method for load-dependent stabilization of a furniture part movably mounted on a furniture body via at least one furniture fitting according to the invention, wherein in an unloaded state in which essentially only a weight force and a spring force of a possibly provided spring force accumulator acts on the furniture part, there is a play between the adjusting mechanism and the at least one inner side of the housing facing the adjusting mechanism in a direction parallel to the at least one axis of rotation of the adjusting mechanism at the at least one local elevation and this play is reduced to zero in a state in which the movable furniture part is loaded by an additional force acting at least in the direction parallel to the at least one axis of rotation, so that at least at the at least one local elevation there is contact between the adjusting mechanism and the at least one inner side of the housing facing the adjusting mechanism.
  • FIGS. 1a) and 1b ) show a piece of furniture 30 with a furniture body 3 and a furniture part 2 movably mounted on the furniture body 3 via furniture fittings 1, wherein the furniture part 2 in the illustrated case is designed as a furniture flap and is pivotable about a substantially horizontal axis of rotation 6.
  • the furniture body 3 comprises side walls 31, wherein a recess 29 is arranged in each of the side walls 31 and a housing 4 of the furniture fittings 1 is arranged at least partially, or as in the case shown even completely, in the recesses 29.
  • the recesses 29 and the housings 4 are essentially cuboid-shaped and the housings 4 are covered on at least four, preferably five, sides 22, 23, 32, 33, 34 by a material of the at least one side wall 31.
  • the furniture part 2 can have a frame 37 which holds a glass insert 38.
  • the furniture 30 can further comprise an ejection device 39 with which the furniture part 2 can be ejected from a closed position into a partially opened position in which the furniture part 2 can be reached from behind by a user.
