- the two halves of the container are manufactured by thermoforming and punching a plastic film. In thermoforming, the deep-drawing molds are next to each other to form the two halves of the container. After thermoforming has been completed and residues of the plastic film have been removed, the active ingredient in the toilet is placed in one of the two halves of the container, for example in the form of a solid sphere. Thereafter, the two halves of the container are folded together, leaving a small gap between the folded halves of the container. This gap represents an opening in the container through which the flushing water can enter the container when the toilet basket is in the intended position (operational position) in a toilet bowl.
- the opening or the gap must be dimensioned in such a way that enough flushing water gets into the container so that the toilet agent flows around sufficiently and is dissolved by the water to the desired extent. Accordingly, if the gap is too small, too little toilet agent gets into the toilet bowl during a flush. On the other hand, if the gap is too large, too much toilet active ingredient is released per flush, so that it is used up unnecessarily and too quickly. In addition, if the gap is too large or if the opening is too large, there is a risk that children will be able to gain access to the toilet active substance in order to put it in their mouth or even swallow it. Because they are formed from a relatively thin sheet of plastic, thermoformed toilet baskets are relatively unstable and flexible. These are more stable and therefore more likely to protect against unwanted access to the WC active ingredient. Polypropylene is also predominantly used for injection-moulded toilet baskets. However, polypropylene can only be replaced with recycled polypropylene to a very limited extent. - the containers 10 have spacers 27 (see FIG. 5) on which the WC active substance rests in dots or lines. As a result, the flushing water can flow around the active ingredient in the toilet from below.
- additional openings 28 are provided in the second container half 12 of the outer containers 10a, 10d, through which an improved exchange between flushing water and toilet agent can take place.
- the provision of the additional openings 28 can be viewed as a measure to influence the individual consumption of the WC active ingredient in the individual containers 10 .
