- the machine housing 104 of the hand-held power tool 100 or the router 102 includes, among other things, the electric drive motor 112 for driving the insert tool 126 in rotation - which is embodied as an edge cutter 174 here, just as an example for the edge milling operation - and the electronic control device 118 with the Operating element 106 integrated.
- the battery pack 110 is connected to the machine housing 104 via the connection interface 120 .
- a center of gravity axis SA runs through the machine center of gravity S.
- the support device 134 with the base plate 144 which is oriented here in contrast to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, approximately parallel to the direction of gravitational acceleration g, and the lateral widened section 152 formed thereon, is used in conjunction with a guide roller 176 of the edge cutter 174 resting on the top side 166 for guiding hand-held power tool 100 along an end face 180 of workpiece 132.
- End face 180 together with top side 166 of workpiece 132, defines an edge 190 to be milled, here by way of example a chamfer-like edge, or a chamfer-like edge profile of workpiece 132.
- the center of gravity axis S A which runs approximately parallel to the direction of gravitational acceleration g and perpendicular to the longitudinal center axis 150, is illustrated here at a distance A from the end face 180 of the workpiece 132 unmachined by the edge milling process.
- the tilting moment K is reduced in comparison to known designs of handheld power tools - in which a battery pack 200 indicated by a dashed outline represents an axial or linear continuation of an approximately rod-shaped machine housing 104, or the Battery pack 110 is formed and arranged rotationally symmetrical to the longitudinal central axis 150 as an extension of the machine housing 104 - advantageously reduced.
