Definitions
- the clamshell wrist bracelet with foldable hinge band belongs to the wearable devices. It can be used everyday or for special occasions.
- the present invention circumvents the problem with known bracelets of the lack of the ability to quickly and conveniently remove the bracelet with one hand movement. It can take on a flat shape when pulled out and can be put on again from this state with a hand movement. The bracelet can be put on and taken off with one hand.
- the bracelet essentially has a body 1 and a band 2 . figure 1
- the present invention relates to a folding bracelet according to claim 1.
- the body can comprise at least one of the following components: A large module 3, preferably curved, preferably comprising 2 rigid elements which can be connected by a hinge.
- a moving part 4 which can also be referred to as reversible deformable, preferably having a multi-stable element, and / or a small Mo dul 5, which can be connected to the hinged hinged strap with magnetic closure.
- the bracelet folds thanks to the multi-stable element in the mobile part 4 of the bracelet, folding the strap through the small module 5 that moves along the circumference of the wrist and connecting the magnetic clasp 7 to the large module 3. In this state, the bracelet is put on and closed magnetically (Fig. 2).
- the small module 5 can preferably be provided as an extension of the multi-stable element, in particular as part of the body. This can benefit the kinematics of the bracelet when closing while the multistable element is changing from one stable state to another while the band 2 is being swung around the wrist.
- “Large modulus” and “small modulus” can be understood in particular as relative properties, namely that one modulus is larger than the other.
- the bracelet is put on by grasping the large module 3 with the free hand and guiding it in a straight line perpendicular to the wrist on which it is put on; the bracelet automatically folds by rolling up and closing the linearly aligned multistable element as shown in Figure 2.
- the bracelet in contrast to the known slap bracelet, can be attached to a sliding clasp 7 with a specially designed clamp, which allows the bracelet to be cut to the required length .
- other fastening options for the closure 7 on the band 2 are also conceivable.
- a wrist-enclosing folding bracelet having a band and a body, which is connected to the band, with a first module arranged at the end, having at least one/two solid/dimensionally stable and/or arched elements, a reversibly deformable part , which has a multistable element, the multistable element being assumes a stabilized shape both in a linear orientation and in a rolled-up orientation and a second rigid/dimensionally stable module on which the band is arranged, preferably in an extension of the body and/or swinging freely.
- the second module according to the present invention can be arranged at an opposite end of the body from the first module.
- a magnetic clasp can be used to lock the two ends of the bracelet, which is designed to snap and lock automatically.
- the clamp 6 In the connected state, the clamp 6 according to the invention encloses the band 2 from both sides, with an edge or teeth of the clamp 6 being able to be introduced into the band 2 in order to strengthen its hold on the band and to increase its frictional connection.
- the two scissor-like wings of the clamp 6 can be fixed in their connecting/non-positive position with the band 2 by means of the sliding closure 7 shown in FIG.
- the wings of the clamp 6 have at least one tongue or lug relative to its folding axis 8 on a side opposite the edge or groove, which corresponds to a groove of the sliding closure and the connection state can be fixed therein.
- the wings of the clamp 6 are prevented from opening because the springs or lugs have to be moved about the axis 8 in opposite directions to one another in order to open the clamp 6 .
- opening can also be prevented by the sliding closure 7 resting against the surfaces of the clamp 6 facing the sliding closure 7 and thereby preventing the wings of the clamp 6 from being displaced relative to one another (FIG. 3).
- the clamp can have two parts in the form of a yoke, connected by the axis 8, in the form of a cylindrical joint, so that on one side of the axis the ends of the two parts/wings form a clamp 6 and on the other side the opposite ends of the same parts form a special element which takes the form of a lug/spring when the clamp 6 is closed with the tape 2 inserted therein.
- the clamp 6 in its closed position is fixed by being fastened in the sliding closure 7 by a type of tongue and groove connection.
- the clamp 6 When closed, the clamp 6 holds the flat material of the band 2 therein and can be attached to the rigid element 7.
- the clip 6 is released from the slide fastener 7 by a sliding movement, whereby the two parts of the clip 6 become movable as a hinge, releasing the strap, as seen in fig.
- the strap is inserted on the side opposite the lug/spring between the two parts of the clamp 6, preferably up to the axis 8, after which the clamp 6 is closed and holds the strap 2 fixed. This forms the lug/spring on the other side, which can then be inserted into the sliding closure 7.
- This clamp 6 is a reusable and quick fastener connection for various bands 2 and fasteners, which is characterized by its reusability, simple construction, quick fastener and secure attachment. It can be used in those cases where it is necessary to reattach the strap to the clamp e.g. due to material wear, size adjustment or replacement.
- the bracelet When closed or on the wrist, the bracelet can have an evenly rounded outer shape, which can be characterized by rounded bevels on the edges, elements and details of the bracelet. For this reason the bracelet does not get caught on the clothes and creates a pleasant tactile feeling.
- the bracelet can be removed by grasping the large module 3 with your free hand, releasing the magnetic latch with a finger and pulling the entire bracelet off the wrist so that the small module 5 is pressed onto the wrist.
- the bracelet straightens and adopts a J-shape, which it can hold thanks to the multi-stable element. In doing so, the band folds onto the outside of the bracelet, as can be seen in FIG.
- the multistable element can be designed as follows:
- the multistable element may comprise two bistable flat springs held together by two flat rigid plates placed at their opposite ends and parallel to the coiling axis of the springs ( Figure 6). As a result, a rectangular gap preferably remains between the flat springs.
- Bistable springs are preferably in the form of an elongate (metal) plate which has a (uniformly) curved/curved shape transverse to its longitudinal direction. Due to this shape, bistable springs are characterized by dimensional stability in two different states. such as As known from toy folding bracelets, a single bistable spring is dimensionally stable when linearly aligned. When a first bending resistance is overcome, the spring rolls/bends into a dimensionally stable second state with a defined radius.
- the rigid plates are connected to the bistable springs, preferably by laser welding, with an arcuate seam/kink that preferably overlaps the plate to a depth equal to the width of one spring.
- the part of the bistable spring that rests on the plate is preferably flattened. At least one of the panels can preferably partially or completely overlap with the small module 3, form a spatial unit or at least be provided in the same area.
- the mentioned buckling (line) 9 is formed at the end sections of the bistable spring.
- An end section can be described as a part of the bistable spring in the (proximate/adjacent) vicinity of the rigid plates, in particular in a transition area to a part of the bistable spring which is connected to the rigid plate.
- a kink is preferably a narrow, straight section of a spring element at which the original curve preferably becomes a straight line in a cross-sectional view.
- the bistable springs can have additional buckling lines 10.
- the buckling lines can be provided to separate individual sections of the bistable spring. Thus, activation of a single section results in only a change in shape of the activated portion, with separate sections of the bistable spring remaining in their original (stretched) orientation.
- crease lines are provided at each end of the at least one bistable spring adjacent the rigid plates.
- the construction used enables special wristband kinematics, through which the wristband can be put on and taken off easily, quickly and comfortably with one hand. This property is especially relevant in cases when you often have to put on and take off the bracelet.
- the bracelet When opened, the bracelet preferably has a J-shape and the band is unfolded on the outside of the body.
- the body with the built-in multistable element folds (rolls up), which causes the hinged band to swing around the wrist and close to the body thanks to the magnetic clasp (6).
- the hinged and detachable strap allows the length of the bracelet to be adjusted to fit any wrist.
