Definitions

  • the invention relates to a lifting and tilting device for a garbage truck with
  • Garbage trucks are equipped with lift-tilt devices that are designed to pick up garbage containers and empty them into a tub or the collection container of the garbage truck.
  • the recording is usually carried out via a comb holder with teeth that protrude upwards at a distance from one another.
  • the garbage containers have pockets into which the teeth engage.
  • the garbage container is held between a clamping bar and the teeth and is lifted and tilted. If the garbage container does not sit correctly on the teeth, the emptying process is stopped and the container is put down again in order to avoid endangering the garbage workers.
  • Split comb holders consist of two individual holders that can be operated synchronously to empty wide, high-capacity waste containers (such as four-wheel bins with a volume of up to 1100 liters), or that can be operated independently of one another to empty smaller waste bins (such as two-wheel bins with up to up to 360 liters volume) can be used.
  • waste containers such as four-wheel bins with a volume of up to 1100 liters
  • the invention relates to a lifting and tilting device for a garbage truck for lifting and tilting one or more garbage containers with a comb receptacle which has a plurality of teeth which can be brought into engagement in corresponding pockets of the garbage containers, with first guides being provided at the ends of the comb receptacle , which bring a garbage container into a lifting position and at least a second guide is provided in the middle of the comb holder in order to bring a garbage container into a lifting position.
  • the lifting and tilting device can be arranged at the rear of a garbage truck and then extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle.
  • a rear-mounted lifting and tilting device is advantageously equipped with a split comb receptacle, the two partial receptacles of which can also be moved independently of one another.
  • a lifting and tilting device according to the invention can also be arranged on the side of a garbage truck.
  • the comb holder Before the emptying process, the comb holder is usually located below the area where the pockets of the garbage containers are located.
  • the garbage containers are moved to the comb holder.
  • the comb holder moves over its entire width in wide containers or, in the case of a split comb holder in narrow containers, only part of it moves upwards so that the teeth can engage in the pockets of the garbage containers.
  • the position that the containers assume before being lifted correctly is understood as the lifting position. This position is reached when, on the one hand, the containers are close enough to the comb holder so that the teeth can engage in the pockets, and on the other hand are positioned so that the intended teeth also engage and the waste container does not protrude beyond the comb holder on the right or left.
  • the first guides at the ends of the comb holder ensure that the waste containers cannot hang over there. When emptying the container, it cannot collide with the pouring opening or lose waste. Rather, the containers slide along the guide into their intended position during the lifting movement of the comb holder.
  • the garbage collector does not have to laboriously place the heavy garbage container precisely or correct its position, but has more freedom in positioning, which also requires less time.
  • the second guides who ensure that the waste container is correctly positioned in the transverse direction of the vehicle when it is in the lifting position.
  • the second guides form a resistance for the garbage container when it is centered by the first guides during the lifting movement.
  • the second guides can be designed to be movable so that they move back when a wide garbage container is to be emptied, so that it can also be positioned close enough to the comb holder.
  • the first guides have sliding surfaces which point in the vertical direction of the vehicle and are inclined towards the center of the comb holder, so that a garbage container is guided on the sliding surfaces to the lifting position.
  • the inclined sliding surfaces promote the centering of the waste containers. When the container is lifted, it is guided securely onto the comb holder and cannot tip over to the sides.
  • the first guides have a non-displaceable, externally arranged component and a displaceable, internally arranged component, each with a sliding surface, and the components are arranged in a first state in such a way that the sliding surfaces form an overall sliding surface.
  • the external components form the end piece of the respective comb holder and the inner components are arranged from there towards the center of the comb holder.
  • the externally arranged components are made of a metallic material, which results in high stability and resistance to forces exerted by the garbage containers.
  • the internally arranged components can be made of a plastic, such as a polyamide. They can be designed as wear parts that are easy to replace, since the garbage containers are in most cases guided on this area of the first guide when centering and this area is therefore exposed to the most stress.
  • the design made of comparatively soft plastic also means that the garbage containers are less damaged.
  • an upwardly projecting extension can be provided on the first guides, for example on the externally arranged components. This is designed so that it protrudes beyond a wide garbage container. This means that it is in the field of vision of the garbage collector, who has additional visual aid to position the garbage container correctly.
  • the displaceable component can be removed from the area of the comb holder, so that in this second state the immovable component alone forms the first guide.
  • the movable component is removable from the area where the garbage containers are placed in the lifting position.
  • the clear width of the comb holder can be varied here in a simple manner by removing the displaceable component. This means that the garbage collector can access the waste waiting to be emptied without much effort
  • Container types respond by placing the first assignee in the first or second state.
  • a further embodiment of the invention provides that the displaceable component is held in its position in a form-fitting manner in the first state and in the second state.
  • the displaceable component is not completely removed, but is simply moved out of its position. Thanks to the positive fit, it remains captively in the respective position on the device or the comb holder.
  • the displaceable component is held in its position in the first state and in the second state by a spring force. This simplifies the changeover from the first to the second state, since no tools are required. The operating personnel only have to release and move the displaceable component against the spring force and, if necessary, out of the positive fit. The new position is automatically assumed, driven by the spring force.
  • the second guide or guides advantageously have one or more sliding surfaces that are inclined towards the ends of the comb holder, so that a garbage container is guided on the sliding surfaces to the lifting position.
  • the inclined sliding surfaces promote the centering of the waste containers.
  • the sliding surfaces can point in the rear direction of the vehicle, in the transverse direction of the vehicle or in the vertical direction of the vehicle or in a direction in between.
  • a narrow garbage container is thereby directed to one end of the comb holder. This prevents it from protruding beyond the center of the comb holder and being caught by the wrong teeth or comb section.
  • sensors for example ultrasonic sensors
  • the sensors are usually located in the middle of the comb holder so that narrower garbage containers do not protrude into the detection area. If the sensors register a garbage container in their detection area, the system assumes that a wide garbage container is to be emptied. Sensors have the disadvantage that they can become dirty or no longer function properly when it rains or snows.
  • the second guide or guides are designed as switches or are in operative connection with a switch, with switching taking place when a force is exerted on the guide or guides perpendicular to the comb holder.
  • a switch is an easy-to-install component that is robust and insensitive to weather influences. Furthermore, the switch is advantageously a proximity switch which is activated as soon as the second guide or guides are moved perpendicular to the comb holder by a force.
  • the second guides can be moved from the area in front of the comb holder to make room for the garbage container so that it can be properly brought into its lifting position in front of the comb holder.
  • the second guide or guides are blocked parallel to the comb holder, so that no switching is carried out. If a narrow garbage container is moved up to the comb holder, the switch should not be accidentally activated when the garbage container touches the second guide and the latter centers the garbage container. The garbage container then usually exerts a force on the guide from the side, i.e. essentially parallel to the comb holder. This is then set up so that it is blocked and cannot be moved in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. This means that no circuit is triggered and the system does not incorrectly identify the waste container.
  • preferably foldable arms are provided which laterally support a garbage container, the arms having a guide section and an instruction section, the latter having at least one sliding surface through which an extension of the garbage container is guided into a storage position when it is lifted becomes.
  • the preferably foldable arms serve to support and guide wide garbage containers laterally.
  • a full garbage container requires a lot of effort to maneuver and still needs to be brought exactly into its lifting position. To do this, it must be pushed as straight as possible towards the comb holder.
  • the garbage container can be supported on the guide section so that the garbage collector does not have to work against transverse forces. This makes work much easier, not only on sloping surfaces, but especially on sloping surfaces.
  • the at least one sliding surface also guides the garbage container further towards the garbage truck when it is lifted, so that the garbage container is once again centered in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle at this point in the emptying process.
  • the sliding surfaces come into contact with extensions that are attached to the garbage containers and protrude to the side before or during lifting.
  • the extensions slide down on the sliding surfaces under gravity, causing the entire garbage container to slide towards the garbage truck again.
  • it is supported laterally by the guide sections so that it cannot break out to the side.
  • the sliding surfaces face the comb holder and are inclined towards the comb holder. This reliably ensures the centering of the container.
  • the interaction of the arms with the first guides leads to a further improved centering of the garbage container in front of the comb holder and to a safe and gentler positioning of the garbage container in its lifting position for the garbage worker.
  • Fig. 1 shows a divided comb receptacle 1 of a lifting and tilting device according to the invention for a garbage truck, not shown.
  • a lifting and tilting device is usually attached to the rear of the garbage truck in order to empty the contents of garbage containers into a rear opening of a collection container or a tub of the garbage truck.
  • the comb receptacle 1 consists of a left and a right partial receptacle 2,3 and extends in the transverse direction of the vehicle.
  • the comb holder has teeth 4 that project upwards. The teeth 4 engage in corresponding pockets of the garbage containers. If the comb holder 1 is moved upwards, i.e. in the vertical direction of the vehicle, by a drive (not shown here), the garbage container is also raised.
  • the garbage container After a certain time and/or distance, the garbage container is clamped by a clamp between this and the teeth 4, so that the garbage container can no longer fall from the comb holder 1. The garbage container is then tilted so that its contents are emptied into the collection container or tub.
  • the teeth 4 have switches that confirm that the garbage containers are correctly seated on the teeth 4. If the teeth 4 do not grasp the garbage container correctly or not at all, the emptying process is stopped in order to ensure the safety of operating personnel and passers-by.
  • the two partial recordings 2,3 can be moved together, synchronously or independently of one another. Both partial receptacles 2.3 are required to empty a wide garbage container. A narrow garbage container can only be emptied from a partial receptacle 2.3.
  • a first guide 5 is provided at the ends of the comb holder 1.
  • a second guide 6 is arranged in the middle. Only a second guide 6 is shown here; two second guides 6 are regularly installed, the sliding elements 19 of which point opposite to each other towards the end of the comb holder 1.
  • the guides 5,6 have the task of bringing a garbage container into a lifting position. This means that the garbage container is positioned at a sufficiently small distance and parallel in front of the comb holder 1 so that the teeth 4 also engage in the correct pockets as soon as the comb holder 1 is moved upwards.
  • narrow garbage containers in particular should be positioned in front of the correct partial receptacle 2,3 so that two garbage containers that are emptied at the same time do not come together hinder each other or the lifting and tilting device accidentally interprets a narrow garbage container as a wide garbage container because the narrow garbage container triggers corresponding sensors.
  • the first guides 5 have sliding surfaces 7.8.
  • the sliding surfaces 7,8 point in the vertical direction of the vehicle and are inclined towards the center of the comb holder 1, in this example towards the center of the vehicle.
  • the garbage container can slide along these sliding surfaces 7, 8 during the lifting movement and is centered when viewed in the transverse direction of the vehicle so that it is not placed too far out.
  • the second usher 6 (see 3a and 3b ) also has sliding surfaces 9,10, which also guide the garbage containers.
  • the first guides 5 and the second guides 6 work together and together center the garbage container and bring it into its lifting position.
  • the first guides 5 at the end work together in a corresponding manner.
  • the first guides 5 also have boundary surfaces 11, 12. These also act as a guide in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
  • the first guides 5 also have a non-displaceable, externally arranged component 13, 14 and a displaceable, internally arranged component 13, 14, each with a sliding surface 7, 8.
  • the displaceable component 14 is made of a plastic.
  • the immovable component 13 is a metal component that is firmly connected to the comb holder 1.
  • the displaceable component 14 can be moved into two positions. In Fig. 2a the first guide 5 is shown in a first state.
  • the displaceable component 14 is located in the area of the comb holder 1.
  • the sliding surface 7 of the immovable component 13 and the sliding surface 8 of the displaceable component 13 together form an overall sliding surface.
  • the displaceable component 14 has two pins on its back, which are not visible here, which engage in plug-in holes 15 in the immovable component 13. This creates a positive connection through which the movable Component 14 is held in position. This is supported by two spring screws 16, which pass through a guide slot 17 (see enlarged section in Fig. 1 ). The springs hold the displaceable component 14 in its position by a spring force.
  • the garbage collector pulls on the displaceable component 14 and releases the pins from the plug-in holes 15 against the spring force. He then moves the displaceable component 14 along the guide slot 17, in which the spring screws 16 are guided, into another position where the pins can also slide into plug holes 15.
  • This second state is in Fig. 3b shown. You can move the displaceable component 14 with just one movement in order to change the clear width of the comb holder 1 and adapt it to different working conditions, as already described above. In this second state, only the sliding surface 7 of the immovable component 13 acts as a centering device.
  • An extension 18 adjoins the sliding surface 7 of the immovable component 13 at the top. This protrudes beyond the garbage containers and provides the operating personnel with additional visual assistance in correctly positioning the garbage containers.
  • a second guide 6 is shown in the 3a and 3b .
  • This also has several sliding surfaces 9,10 on a sliding element 19 which support the guidance of the garbage containers when positioning them.
  • the sliding surfaces 9,10 are aligned differently in this version and point both in the vehicle's vertical and rearward directions. However, they are all inclined towards the end of the comb holder 1, i.e. towards the outside of the vehicle.
  • the sliding element 19 is made of plastic, such as a polyamide, and is releasably attached to a lever 20. This means that this wear-stressed component can be easily replaced.
  • garbage containers are not easily damaged due to the comparatively soft plastic.
  • the lever 20 is mounted on a joint 21 and is pivoted in the direction of the garbage truck when a force F acts perpendicular to the comb holder 1, i.e. here in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, as shown in Fig. 3b you can see. This occurs when a wide garbage container is driven against the second guide 6.
  • the second guide 6 also has an arch section 22, which when the lever 20 is pivoted into the Detection area of the proximity switch 31 penetrates, which is shown schematically here.
  • the proximity switch 31 is thereby activated, whereby the control system of the lift-tilt device recognizes that a wide garbage container is to be emptied. As a result, both partial recordings 2,3 are moved synchronously in order to pick up and empty the garbage container.
  • the lever 20 is pivoted back into its starting position supported by a spring 23.
  • the arc section 22 moves away from the detection range of the proximity switch 31 and this is deactivated.
  • the second guide 5 is constructed in such a way that it is blocked as soon as a force S acts on it from the side, i.e. parallel to the comb holder 1. Blocked means that it cannot be pivoted at the joint 21. If the garbage container hits the second guide 6 when being positioned by the garbage worker or when centering when lifting, this force does not cause any switching. This prevents the partial recordings 2,3 from being moved unintentionally at the same time.
  • the lifting and tilting device also has foldable arms 24, which laterally support a garbage container and also guide it into the correct position.
  • the arms 24 can be folded at a joint 25.
  • a spiral spring, not shown here, is provided as support, one end of which is fixed to the garbage truck and the other end to a spring eyelet 26 on the arm 24.
  • the in Fig. 4 Arm 24 shown has a guide section 27 and an instruction section 28.
  • the instruction section 28 also has sliding surfaces 29.
  • the arms 24 are used in particular when emptying wide garbage containers. These are large in volume and difficult to maneuver, which requires a lot of effort.
  • the garbage containers can be supported on the guide sections 27, so that the operating personnel do not have to make a transverse movement of the garbage container, but only have to push the container in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle to the comb holder 1. The effort required for this is significantly less.
  • the instruction sections 28 result in the garbage container being positioned close to the comb holder.
  • the sliding surfaces 29 of the instruction sections 28 point towards the comb receptacle 1 and are inclined towards the comb receptacle 1, i.e. they point and are inclined towards the vehicle.
  • the arms 24 are located below extensions that protrude from the side walls of the garbage containers.
  • the instruction sections 28 of the arms 24 come into contact with the extensions of the garbage container if the garbage container is not placed close enough to the comb holder 1.
  • the extensions slide towards the vehicle under gravity along the sliding surfaces 29 and the garbage container is centered in its lifting position in front of the comb holder 1, also in interaction with the first guides 5.
  • the extensions come to rest in a storage position 30, although they do not necessarily come into contact with the arms 24.
  • the garbage containers are held primarily on the comb holder 1 between the teeth 24 and a clamping device.
