Abstract

An apparatus for a spinning line comprises a roving frame (1) provided with a plurality of modules (6a-6d) aligned and side by side, longitudinally spaced by a respective passageway (90). An operator may pass through at least one passageway (90) to go from the front zone (A) to the rear zone (P) of the apparatus, or vice versa.

Description

DESCRIPTION
"MODULAR ROVING FRAME"
The present invention relates to the field of textile machines for converting the staple fiber into a yarn wound on spools. In particular, the object of the present invention is a roving frame for processing a fiber web, typically coming from a drawing frame, and obtaining a roving wrapped in spools intended for being processed on a spinning machine .
In the frame construction sector, the trend is to create machines with an ever increasing number of spindles, mainly in order to reduce the overall dimensions of the spinning plant and maximize performance .
Frames with a high number of spindles obviously reach considerable lengths; for example, a roving frame with 320 spindles can reach a length of 37 meters.
This means that when an operator is on one side of the machine, for example in the front area of a roving frame, and needs to reach the opposite side, for example to intervene in the rear area where the cans and the creel are located, he must travel a considerable distance, with consequent waste of time.
The object of the present invention is to provide a roving frame provided with a large number of spindles and such as to obviate the drawbacks mentioned above with reference to the prior art.
Such an object is achieved by a roving frame according to claim 1. The dependent claims describe further advantageous embodiments of the invention.
The features and the advantages of the roving frame, according to the present invention will appear more clearly from the following description, made by way of an indicative and non-limiting example with reference to the accompanying figures, in which:
- figure 1 schematically shows the layout of a roving frame according to an embodiment of the present invention;
- figure 2 shows a roving frame according to a further embodiment of the invention; and
- figure 3 shows a diagram of a front view of the roving frame according to the invention, according to an even further embodiment .
According to the invention, an apparatus for a spinning line comprises a roving frame 1, which develops mainly along a longitudinal direction X, between a left end 2 and a right end 4.
Typically, upstream of the roving frame 1 there is a drawing frame which produces a drawn fiber web fed to the roving frame; the roving frame works the web and produces a roving wrapped in spools, intended to be transported to a spinning machine for subsequent processing.
The roving frame 1 consists of a plurality of modules 6a-6d, for example in number of two, three, four (as illustrated) or more, each having a predominant extension along the longitudinal direction X.
Said modules 6a-6d are placed side by side along the longitudinal direction X, so that the left end of a subsequent module 6b, 6c, 6d faces the right end of the respective previous module 6a, 6b, 6c.
Each module 6a-6d has a stock region 8, located in a rear part P of the apparatus; in the stock region the web coming from the drawing frame is deposited, wrapped and kept in cans 10.
In this stock region 8 there is also placed a creel 12 consisting of a frame provided with rollers having a predominant extension along the longitudinal direction X, generally having a hexagonal section and typically motorized, arranged above the respective cans 10.
Each module 6a-6d further comprises a drawing device 16, to which the belt exiting the cans 10 is directed, consisting of pairs of superimposed pressure cylinders having peripheral rotation speeds which increase from upstream to downstream, so as to progressively draw the web passing between the coupled cylinders. Preferably, the drawing device 16 comprises lower motorized cylinders, for example three, each of which extends in the longitudinal direction X along the entire module. Each lower cylinder cooperates with a plurality of separate upper idle rollers, supported, generally in pairs, by pressure arms.
Preferably, the pressure arms are pushed mechanically to ensure pressure coupling between the lower cylinder and the upper rollers .
The modules 6a-6d which make up the roving frame 1 are aligned along the longitudinal direction X, i.e. the cylinders of the drawing device 16 have their respective axes of rotation arranged parallel to the longitudinal direction X.
Downstream of the drawing device 16, each module 6a-6d comprises a rail 20 extending along the longitudinal direction X, along the entire length of the module 6a-6d, defining at the top an upper region of the frame and below a lower region.
The rail 20 houses a plurality of necks 22, arranged in two longitudinal rows, arranged longitudinally out of phase, protruding from a rail plane 21 of said rail 20.
Each module 6a-6d further comprises a plurality of flyers 30, arranged in the lower region at each neck 22, supported by the rail 20. The flyers 30 are suitable for being rotated about a respective vertical axis Z.
Each module 6a-6d further comprises a carriage 40, arranged in the lower region, carrying a plurality of spindles 42, each coaxially arranged with the respective flyer 30. The carriage 40 can be translated vertically with alternating motion for forming the spool.
Furthermore, the carriage 40 can be translated horizontally or rotated for the operations of removing the spools and loading the empty tubes.
The spindles 42, aligned along the longitudinal direction X, can also be rotated coaxially with the flyers 30.
Preferably, the flyers 30 are further provided with forming means for depositing the roving on the tube inserted on the respective spindle 42.
The web coming from the creel 12 passes through the drawing device 16 and then enters the respective neck 22, through which it passes into the lower region of the frame .
Here, through the neck 22, it enters the respective flyers 30 and comes out of the lower end; the carriage 40 is moved with alternating vertical movement, so that the web is wound around the tube inserted on the spindle and forms a spool.
Once the spools are formed, they are picked up and transported, automatically or manually, to the spinning machine, for subsequent processing.
For this purpose, the carriage 40 can be moved between a position for forming spools, in which it is located in the lower region of the frame, and a picking position.
Preferably, moreover, each module 6a-6d comprises a dashboard frame 50 and a picking dashboard 60, supported by the dashboard frame 50 well above the drawing device 10, for picking up the spools from the carriage and laying the empty tubes.
The region located opposite the rails 20 of the modules 6a-6d, on the opposite side to the rear zone P, is defined as the front zone A of the apparatus .
The roving frame 1 further comprises a single control head 70 for managing the entire machine, for example comprising a control panel that can be used by an operator .
In particular, said control head 70, arranged at one of the ends of the roving frame 1, for example at the left end 2, contains for example a transformer, a pneumatic air supply system, etc.
Each module 6a-6d further comprises a control box 80, arranged at one end of the module, for example at the left end.
The control box 80 contains drawing motors for the actuation of the drawing cylinders of the drawing device 16, motion transmission means suitable for being connected to the respective drawing cylinders of the drawing device 16, kinematic transmissions for the connection between the transmission means and supports for transmission shafts and the like.
An example of embodiment of a control head and a control box is described in the International Application WO-A1-2017 / 072641 in the name of the Applicant, whose teaching on the structural and functional features of the control head and the control box is incorporated herein.
For the first module 6a, the left end of which coincides with the left end 2 of the roving frame 1, the control box 80 is arranged above the control head 70.
The modules 6a-6d are spaced longitudinally, so that between a module 6a, 6b, 6c and the subsequent one 6b,
6c, 6d, there is a passageway 90 which places the front zone A of the apparatus in communication with the rear zone P , suitable for the transit of an operator.
Preferably, the control box 80 of a predefined module
6b, 6c, 6d is arranged in the passageway 90 between said module 6b, 6c, 6d and the previous one 6a, 6b, 6c (or the next), for example at a predefined height HI with respect to a ground plane T of the apparatus .
The roving frame 1 further comprises a plurality of shelves 100, each arranged, for example, across the passageway 90 between one module 6a, 6b, 6c and the subsequent one 6b, 6c, 6d, fixed to at least one of the two modules between which said passage 90 opens, to support the respective control box 80 at the desired height HI .
Preferably, the apparatus further comprises at least a lower compartment 110 obtained, for example by means of an excavation work, below the ground plane T, at at least one passageway 90 present between the modules 6a-6d, so as to place more easily in communication the front area A with the rear area P, especially in the case in which the shelves are arranged at a predefined height from the ground plane .
Innovatively, the roving frame according to the present invention overcomes the drawbacks mentioned above with reference to the prior art since, although it provides a large number of spindles, it allows an operator to move from one side of the machine to the other taking advantage of the passageways obtained between the modules, partly excavated below the ground plane .
It is clear that a man skilled in the art may make changes to the frame described above in order to meet incidental needs all falling within the scope of protection defined in the following claims .

Claims

1. Apparatus for a spinning line, comprising:
- a roving frame (1) having predominant extension along a longitudinal direction (X), comprising:
a) a plurality of modules (6a-6d) aligned and placed side by side along said longitudinal direction (X) , wherein each module (6a-6d) comprises a creel (12), a drawing device (16), a rail (20), flyers (30), a carriage (40) and spindles (42), said modules (6a-6d) being spaced each other longitudinally from a respective passageway (90) of the roving frame;
- a ground plane (T) on which said roving frame (1) rests, a rear zone (P) wherein said creels are arranged (12) and a front zone (A) on the side opposite the rear zone (P) with respect to the drawing device (16);
- wherein an operator may pass through at least one passageway (90) to go from the front zone (A) to the rear zone (P) of the apparatus, or vice versa;
- wherein each module (6a-6d) comprises a control box
(80) containing electric motors and motion transmission means for actuating the drawing cylinders of the drawing device (16) and the control box (80) of a predefined module (6b, 6c, 6d) is arranged in the passageway (90) between said predefined module (6b, 6c, 6d) and a previous (or subsequent) module (6a, 6b, 6c), at a predefined height (HI) with respect to the ground plane (T) .
2 . Apparatus according to claim 1, comprising
- at least one lower compartment (110) formed below the ground plane (T) , at a respective passageway (90), to facilitate the transit of the operator.
3 . Apparatus according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the roving frame (1) comprises a single control head (70) configured to operate on all modules (6a-6d) .
4 . Apparatus according to claim 3, wherein the control head (70) is arranged at a longitudinal end of the roving frame ( 1 ) .
5 . Apparatus according to claim 3 or 4, wherein the control head (70) comprises a control panel.
6. Apparatus according to any one of claims 3 to 5, wherein the control head (70) contains a transformer and/or a pneumatic air supply system.
7. Apparatus according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the roving frame (1) comprises a plurality of shelves (100), each shelf being arranged across the passageway (90) between a predefined module (6a, 6b, 6c) and the subsequent module (6b,6c,6d), to support a respective control box (80) at the desired height (HI ) .
