Definitions
- the invention relates to a bread slicer with a loading compartment for receiving bread to be cut and with a blade assembly comprising oblong blades arranged substantially parallel to each other and reciprocatingly drivable. comes along their longitudinal direction.
- This set of blades is intended to cut the bread into slices and cooperates with a pusher which makes it possible to push the bread in a direction of movement from the loading compartment through the set of blades towards an exit table.
- the blade assembly is disposed between the loading compartment and the outfeed table to cut the bread into slices.
- the sliced bread is generally manually removed from the outfeed table and placed on a bagging pallet.
- a bag is slipped over the bread assembly and the pallet and the bag is then removed with the bread from the pallet.
- a disadvantage of such known slicers is that a certain skill is required to bag the bread. Indeed, it is necessary to prevent the slices from falling and thus decomposing the bread when taking and transporting the cut bread between the outfeed table and the bagging pallet. In addition, the slices must be correctly aligned on the bagging pallet in order to be able to bag it properly. The various operations to wrap the bread also take a lot of time.
- Slicers with an automatic packaging system are also known, as for example described in the document EP 2789539 .
- the packaging system used in these slicers requires the presence of rolls of packaging material and does not allow the cut loaves to be packaged in preformed or existing bags.
- these machines are generally quite complex and bulky.
- a slicer making it possible to pack the cut loaves in preformed bags is known from the document NL2015186B1 .
- the invention seeks to overcome these disadvantages and to provide a slicer according to claim 1 which enables sliced bread to be packaged automatically or semi-automatically in which preformed packaging bags can be used.
- This slicer is, however, relatively compact and limits the number of manual operations to be carried out to package a loaf.
- the exit table has holding means for holding open a packaging bag, having an opening, with the opening facing the set of blades during the movement of the bread in the direction of movement.
- the pusher is arranged to push at least part of the cut bread through the opening of the bag in said direction of movement in order to introduce the bread at least partially into the packaging bag.
- the holding means comprise a clamping element for holding a lower side of the opening of the packaging bag substantially at the level of the exit table and an opening device for holding the upper side of the bag at the place of the opening and to move this upper side away from the lower side to the opening of the bag to allow the introduction of a bread.
- the exit table is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane to hold the slices of the cut bread against each other during the introduction of the bread into the packaging bag.
- the exit table is, in particular, preferably, also parallel to the direction of movement of the bread.
- the loading compartment has a bottom for placing a loaf to be cut.
- the part of this bottom which is adjacent to the set of blades extends parallel to the exit table.
- the invention also relates to a method according to claim 9 for cutting bread into slices and for introducing the cut bread at least partially into a packaging bag.
- this method the bread is placed in a loading compartment and then the bread is moved in a direction of movement of the bread towards an exit table.
- the bread is sliced between the loading compartment and the exit table as it moves in said direction of travel through a blade assembly comprising oblong blades arranged substantially parallel to each other.
- This method is characterized in that a packaging bag having an opening is held open at the exit table with the opening facing the blade assembly.
- the cut bread in particular the cut part of the bread, is introduced at least partially in the packaging bag in said direction of movement through the opening thereof when cutting the bread into slices.
- the invention generally relates to a method in which a bread is cut into slices and then packaged in a preformed bag.
- the invention also relates to a slicer for implementing this method.
- the invention is especially interesting for application in shops where consumers can choose a loaf, cut it with an automatic bread slicer and take the cut loaf themselves.
- the application of the invention is not limited to supermarkets, but can also be used in all places where breads are cut by an automatic slicer, such as, for example, in a bakery.
- the invention relates, in general, to a system for packaging cut bread in a preformed bag in which the bread is cut and introduced into the packaging bag in a single movement without the need to take the bread in hand or to move it.
- a first embodiment of the slicer and of the method, according to the invention, is represented schematically in the figures 1 to 4 .
- the slicer comprises a loading compartment 1 to receive a bread 2 to be cut. As indicated by the arrow 3 the bread is placed 2 on the bottom 4 of the loading compartment 1 of the slicer.
- a set of blades 5 extends directly next to this compartment 1 and makes it possible to cut the bread 2 into slices.
- the set of blades 5 comprises a succession of oblong blades 6 arranged substantially parallel to each other and able to be driven in a reciprocating movement along their longitudinal direction.
- a pusher 7 which makes it possible to push the bread 2 to be cut along a direction of movement 17 of the bread 2 from the loading compartment 1 through the set of blades 5 towards an exit table 8
- the set of blades 5 is therefore arranged between the loading compartment 1 and the exit table 8.
- a bread to be cut into slices is placed on the bottom 4 of the loading compartment 1 between the pusher 7 and the set of blades 5.
- the pusher 7 preferably extends over the entire width of the loading compartment 1 and parallel to the plane defined by the set of blades 5.
- the pusher 7 can be driven in the direction of movement of the bread in order to push the bread 2 to through the set of blades 5.
- the front side of the pusher 7 directed towards the set of blades 5 has elongated and parallel recesses 9 in which the blades 6 of the set of blades 5 can be accommodated.
- the front side of the pusher 7 can pass beyond the set of blades 5, as illustrated in the picture 3 , to push the cut bread 2 through the blade set 5.
- the direction of movement of the bread 2 is indicated by the arrow 17 and is generally parallel to the bottom 4 of the loading compartment 1 and/or parallel to the side faces of the blades 6 which form part of the set of blades 5.
- a packaging bag 10 folded flat is placed with the opening 11 of the bag 10 facing the assembly of blades 5.
- the bag is detachably fixed to the output table 8 by a clamp 12.
- a lower edge 13 of the opening 11 at the lower side 14 of the bag 10 is clamped between the gripper 12 and the exit table 8.
- this lower edge 13 extends beyond the upper edge of the opening 11 of the bag 10 to, for example, facilitate the fixing of the bag to the support table 8.
- the slicer according to the invention has holding means for holding the packaging bag 10 open with the opening 11 facing the set of blades 5.
- These holding means comprise a clamping element for holding the lower side of the opening 11 of the packaging bag 10, in particular said lower edge 13, substantially at the level of the exit table 8.
- this clamping element comprises the aforesaid clamp 12.
- the holding means also have an opening device for holding the upper side 15 of the bag 10 at the location of the opening 11 and for moving this upper side 15 away from the lower side 14 as far as the opening of the bag 10 to allow the introduction of a bread 2 in the bag.
- this opening device comprises at least one suction cup 16 for sucking and holding the upper side 15 of the bag 10 in order to open it and hold it open.
- the suction cup 16 is moved towards the upper side 15 of the bag 10, preferably close to the opening 11.
- the suction cup 16 sucks the upper side 15 of the packaging bag 10 so that the bag is fixed to the suction cup 16.
- the suction cup 16 is then raised so that the upper side 15 of the bag 10 moves away from the lower side 10 and so that the bag opens with the opening 11 directed towards the set of blades 5 , as shown in the picture 3 .
- the slicer may comprise a single suction cup 16 or a series of suction cups which are arranged next to each other so that they can be attached across the width of the opening 11 to the top side 15 of the bag.
- the distance between the open bag 10 and the set of blades 5 is preferably less than the width of the loaf 2 along the direction of movement 17 of the loaf 2 such that the loaf 2 can already be partially introduced into the bag 10 while it crosses the set of blades 5.
- the bread is pushed through the set of blades 5 and introduced into the open bag 10 in a single movement of the pusher 7.
- the cut bread 2 is not completely pushed into the bag 10, but only partially. In such a case, the bread 2 can then be advanced manually further into the bag 10 or automatically moves further into the bag under the action of gravity when the outfeed table 8 has a sufficient inclination.
- FIG 5 another embodiment of the slicer according to the invention is shown.
- the main difference between this slicer and that of the figures 1 to 4 is the presence of a blowing mouth 18.
- This blowing mouth 18 is part of the opening device and can, for example, be added to the suction cup 16, or can replace this suction cup 16.
- the blowing mouth 18 is preferably provided between the position of the opening 11 of the bag 10 and the set of blades 5.
- this blowing mouth is, for example, arranged between the clamping element, for example the clamp 12, and the set of blades 5.
- the blowing mouth 18 behind the set of blades 5 in the loading compartment 1. In the latter case the blowing mouth 18 makes it possible to create a current of air which passes through the set of blades 5 towards the opening 11 of the bag 10.
- the blowing mouth 18 is oriented to form a stream of air directed towards the opening 11 of the bag 10.
- this stream of air is substantially parallel to the lower side 14 of the bag 10 placed on the exit table. 8 or, in particular, substantially parallel to the surface of the support table 8.
- this air current is directed towards the opening 11 of the bag 10 which is folded flat, as shown in the figure 5 , to expand the bag.
- the bag 10 is opened by the current of air coming from the blowing mouth 18 and it is also kept open by this current of air with the opening 11 facing the set of blades 5, at least until when the bread 2 is introduced into the bag 10 through the opening 11.
- the blowing mouth 18 is therefore arranged to generate a current of air towards the surface of the outlet table 8 and, in particular, substantially along the direction of movement 17 of the bread 2 to open the folded packaging bag present at the level of the output table 8 and to keep this bag 10 open.
- the blowing mouth 18 extends substantially parallel to the plane of the set of blades 5 and over a distance which is preferably less than the width of the bag 10 in this direction.
- the blowing mouth 18 is, for example, formed by a slot or a succession of openings provided in the surface of the support table 8.
- the holding means comprise a bagging pallet 19 extending substantially at the level of the support table 8.
- a packaging bag 10 for the bread 2 can be slid onto this pallet 19 with the opening 11 of the bag 10 next to the blade assembly 5.
- This bagging pallet 19 is, for example, formed by a part of the exit table 8 which is limited laterally along the two lateral sides by an oblong slot 20 and 21 in the exit table 8.
- These slots 20 and 21 extend, preferably, parallel to each other and substantially along the direction of movement of the bread 2.
- the distance between these slots 20 and 21 corresponds to the length of the bag or is less than this length so that the bag 10 can be slid on this pallet 19 with the lower side 14 of the bag below the pallet and the upper side 15 above it.
- the bag 10 is shown in broken lines.
- a bagging pallet 19 can replace the holding means described in relation to the previous embodiments of the slicer, according to the invention.
- the bagging pallet 19 can, for example, also be applied in combination with one or more suction cups 16 or with a blowing mouth 18.
- a clamping element such as a clamp 12, to clamp or to fix the lower side 14 of the bag against the pallet 19 or against the lower face of the outfeed table 8.
- a clamping element such as a clamp 12
- Such an element clamp can, for example, attach the bag 10 automatically to the table 8 when the presence of a bag 10 is detected by a sensor provided for this purpose.
- the bagging pallet 19 can form part of the holding means and, for example, itself serve as a clamping element.
- the slicer comprises a storage space 22 to accommodate a stack 23 of packaging bags 10 preformed and folded flat with their opening 11 directed towards the whole of blades 5.
- This storage space 22 has a mobile support 24 for the stack 23 which makes it possible to adapt the level of this stack 23 of bags 10 so that the upper surface of the stack 23 extends substantially in the upper plane of the outfeed table. 8.
- the lower side 14 of the bags is provided with a strip protruding from the opening 11. Therefore this protruding strip is formed by the lower edge 13 of the opening 11 to the lower side 14 of the bag 10. This lower edge 13 s extends beyond the upper edge of the opening 11 of the bag.
- Adjacent to the storage space 22, the lower side of the exit table 8 has a rim against which the projecting band, in particular the edge 13, of the upper bag 10 of the stack 23 is clamped.
- the mobile support 24 is pushed towards the outfeed table 8 by means of, for example, a compression spring 25 mounted between this support 24 and the frame of the slicer.
- the edge 13 of the upper bag 10 of the stack 23 is thus clamped and fixed between the stack 23 of bags and the edge of the exit table 8.
- the holding means therefore comprise this edge.
- a blow mouth 18 is provided on the surface of the outfeed table 8 between the blade assembly 5 and the storage space 22. Through the blow mouth 18 air is blown over the opening 11 of the upper bag to expand it so that the opening 11 is straightened facing the set of blades 5 to allow the introduction of a bread into this bag 10 .
- the bag 10 is open and is shown during the cutting of a loaf which is, at the same time, introduced into this bag 10.
- the bag 10 and the loaf 2 are illustrated in dotted line.
- the bag with the bread is removed and the next bag from the stack of bags 23 automatically presents itself to receive the next bread 2.
- the outlet table 8 is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane to hold the slices of the cut bread 2 against each other.
- the cut bread bears against the lower lateral side 26 of the bag 10, as illustrated in the figures 9 and 10 .
- the slices of the cut bread 2 also press against each other when the bread 2 is introduced into the packaging bag 10. Thus, it is ensured that the bread 2 is correctly placed in the bag without the slices fall or detach from each other.
- the blades 6 of the set of blades 5 are also tilted.
- the blades 6 extend along parallel planes which are perpendicular to the support table. The side faces of the blades 6 are therefore inclined with respect to a vertical plane.
- the slicer also comprises a support plate 27 which extends transverse to the plane of the support table 8 and parallel to the direction of movement 17.
- This support plate 27 makes it possible to support the lateral side 26 of the bag 10 when the bread is introduced into this bag. It is clear that this support plate 27 is optional and is not necessary when the bag is held in place by other holding means, such as, for example, a clamp 12.
- the other embodiments of the slicer, according to the invention, described above, can also have this exit table 8 which is inclined.
- the inclination of the exit table relative to the horizontal is, for example, between 10° and 60°.
- the holding means may comprise guide fingers arranged to extend on either side of the bread 2 through the opening 11 of the packaging bag 10 to hold the bag 10 open and to guide the bread 2 when introduced into the bag 10.
- the invention is characterized, in particular, by the fact that a bread to be cut is pushed in the same direction and, preferably, in a single movement, through the assembly of blades to cut it into slices into a bag to pack it.
- a cut loaf is normally introduced into a bag in a direction which is transverse with respect to the plane of the slices, whereas in the invention the bread is introduced into a bag in a direction which is parallel to the plane of the slices. slices.

Description
The invention relates to a bread slicer with a loading compartment for receiving bread to be cut and with a blade assembly comprising oblong blades arranged substantially parallel to each other and reciprocatingly drivable. comes along their longitudinal direction. This set of blades is intended to cut the bread into slices and cooperates with a pusher which makes it possible to push the bread in a direction of movement from the loading compartment through the set of blades towards an exit table. The blade assembly is disposed between the loading compartment and the outfeed table to cut the bread into slices.
According to the prior art, the sliced bread is generally manually removed from the outfeed table and placed on a bagging pallet. Next, a bag is slipped over the bread assembly and the pallet and the bag is then removed with the bread from the pallet.
A disadvantage of such known slicers is that a certain skill is required to bag the bread.
The invention seeks to overcome these disadvantages and to provide a slicer according to
This slicer is, however, relatively compact and limits the number of manual operations to be carried out to package a loaf.
To this end, the exit table has holding means for holding open a packaging bag, having an opening, with the opening facing the set of blades during the movement of the bread in the direction of movement. The pusher is arranged to push at least part of the cut bread through the opening of the bag in said direction of movement in order to introduce the bread at least partially into the packaging bag.
Advantageously, the holding means comprise a clamping element for holding a lower side of the opening of the packaging bag substantially at the level of the exit table and an opening device for holding the upper side of the bag at the place of the opening and to move this upper side away from the lower side to the opening of the bag to allow the introduction of a bread.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the exit table is inclined with respect to a horizontal plane to hold the slices of the cut bread against each other during the introduction of the bread into the packaging bag. . The exit table is, in particular, preferably, also parallel to the direction of movement of the bread.
According to a particular embodiment of the invention, the loading compartment has a bottom for placing a loaf to be cut. Preferably, at least the part of this bottom which is adjacent to the set of blades extends parallel to the exit table.
The invention also relates to a method according to
This method is characterized in that a packaging bag having an opening is held open at the exit table with the opening facing the blade assembly. The cut bread, in particular the cut part of the bread, is introduced at least partially in the packaging bag in said direction of movement through the opening thereof when cutting the bread into slices.

The invention generally relates to a method in which a bread is cut into slices and then packaged in a preformed bag. The invention also relates to a slicer for implementing this method.
The invention is especially interesting for application in shops where consumers can choose a loaf, cut it with an automatic bread slicer and take the cut loaf themselves. The application of the invention is not limited to supermarkets, but can also be used in all places where breads are cut by an automatic slicer, such as, for example, in a bakery.
To cut the bread into slices, it is placed on the bottom of a loading compartment of a slicer. To cut the bread into slices, it is pushed by a pusher through a set of blades to an outfeed table from where the cut bread is retrieved by the consumer.
The invention relates, in general, to a system for packaging cut bread in a preformed bag in which the bread is cut and introduced into the packaging bag in a single movement without the need to take the bread in hand or to move it.
The set of
The direction of movement of the
The holding means also have an opening device for holding the

In some cases, the

The blowing

It is also possible to provide, for example, a clamping element, such as a
In advantageous embodiments of the invention, the bagging

The
After the
It is clear that the storage space for packing bags can also be applied in the other embodiments of the slicer according to the invention.
When the exit table 8 is tilted, the
The slicer also comprises a
L'inclinaison de la table de sortie par rapport à l'horizontale est, par exemple, comprise entre 10° et 60°.The other embodiments of the slicer, according to the invention, described above, can also have this exit table 8 which is inclined. The inclination of the exit table relative to the horizontal is, for example, between 10° and 60°.
Thus, the holding means may comprise guide fingers arranged to extend on either side of the
The invention is characterized, in particular, by the fact that a bread to be cut is pushed in the same direction and, preferably, in a single movement, through the assembly of blades to cut it into slices into a bag to pack it. According to the prior art, a cut loaf is normally introduced into a bag in a direction which is transverse with respect to the plane of the slices, whereas in the invention the bread is introduced into a bag in a direction which is parallel to the plane of the slices. slices.
