Definitions
- the present invention relates to a shower for a sanitary fitting.
- Sanitary fittings are used in particular to provide liquids as required, such as water in particular, at a sink, a washbasin, a shower or a bathtub.
- shower heads for sanitary fittings can be designed, for example, in the manner of shower heads and/or hand showers and/or are used to distribute the liquid dispensed through the sanitary fitting over a large area.
- showers are known with which the liquid can be dispensed with different jet types, for example in the form of rain jets, full jets, massage jets or bead jets.
- the changeover between the individual types of jets can take place via actuating elements on the showers, via which the valves in the discharge channels for the individual types of jets can be controlled.
- the disadvantage here is that the actuating elements and the valves require a large amount of space, so that the housing of the showers must be made correspondingly large.
- a further disadvantage of known showers is that if the user does not actuate the actuating elements correctly or not completely, the valves can remain in an intermediate position in which all the valves are closed. As a result, impermissibly high pressure loads can arise from the inflowing liquid, which can damage the showers.
- EP 2 638 970 A1 discloses, for example, a hand held shower head with a water switching device that includes a plurality of valves.
- the valves can be actuated by a user of the hand shower through a pivotable tilting actuator.
- the tilting actuation element is coupled to the valves via valve actuation rods, the valve actuation rods being arranged around a pivot point of the tilting actuation element.
- the object of the invention is therefore to at least partially solve the problems described with reference to the prior art and, in particular, to specify a shower head whose valves characterized by a small installation space requirement and in which impermissibly high pressures in the shower can be prevented.
- Sanitary fittings are used in particular to provide liquids as required, such as water in particular, at sinks, washbasins, showers and/or bathtubs.
- the sanitary fittings can be supplied with cold water with a cold water temperature and hot water with a hot water temperature, which can be mixed by the sanitary fittings, for example by means of a mixing valve or a thermostatic mixing cartridge, to form a mixed water with a desired mixed water temperature.
- the cold water temperature is in particular a maximum of 25° C. (Celsius), preferably 1° C. to 25° C., particularly preferably 5° C. to 20° C. and/or the hot water temperature is in particular a maximum of 90° C., preferably 25° C. to 90° C.
- the mixed water can then be supplied to a shower, for example via a liquid line or a liquid hose, which is designed, for example, in the manner of an overhead shower or hand shower.
- the shower head can be fixed to a support, such as a wall, or it can be movable by a user. By means of the shower, the liquid can be sprayed in particular with a plurality of different jet types.
- the shower has a housing with at least one inflow channel and a plurality of outflow channels.
- the housing can consist at least partially of metal and/or plastic.
- the liquid can be supplied to the shower head via the at least one inflow channel.
- the inflow channel can be connected in particular to the liquid line or the liquid hose of the sanitary fitting.
- the liquid can be fed to at least one jet former, by which different jet types can be generated.
- each outflow channel is assigned in particular to a different jet type, so that the spray type that is assigned to the respective outflow channel through which the liquid flows off is formed by the shower head.
- the housing has three discharge channels for three different jet types.
- the shower has at least one actuating element that can be actuated by a user.
- the at least one actuating element is arranged in such a way that it is accessible to the user when using the sanitary fitting.
- the desired jet type of the shower is set using the at least one actuating element adjustable.
- the at least one actuating element can have, for example, a plurality of pressure points, when actuated, a corresponding jet type can be set.
- the at least one actuating element can in particular be designed in the manner of a plate or (round) disk and/or be tiltably mounted (for example at a central point).
- the shower also has an actuating element which can be moved in the housing by the at least one actuating element in an actuating plane.
- This can mean that when the at least one actuating element is actuated by a user in order to set the desired jet types, the actuating element is moved by the at least one actuating element in the actuating plane.
- the actuating element can have a central axis around which, for example, an annular section or region of the actuating element can be (substantially) rotationally symmetrical. In this case, the central axis runs, in particular, orthogonally to the actuating plane of the actuating element.
- the actuating element is ring-shaped. In this case, the actuating element can have an L-shaped cross section.
- the plurality of valves or the valve bodies of the plurality of valves are arranged in particular within the annular actuating element.
- the shower has a number of valves which can close off the number of outflow channels.
- the plurality of valves is arranged in particular in the plurality of outflow channels.
- the shower head has, in particular, one valve for each discharge channel.
- Each valve of the plurality of valves also has a valve body, which can include, for example, a valve head and a piston section, it being possible for the valve head and the piston section to be arranged in a T-shape with respect to one another.
- the valve head can extend orthogonally to the actuating plane of the actuating element and/or the piston section can extend parallel to the actuating plane of the actuating element.
- valve bodies are thus arranged in particular horizontally and/or can be adjusted by the actuating element parallel to the actuating plane of the actuating element from a closed position into an open position.
- the plurality of valves can be designed to be particularly compact in the housing.
- the respective valve In the closed position, the respective valve is closed, so that the respective outflow channel (inside Essentially) no liquid can drain off.
- the valve head of the valve body In the closed position, the valve head of the valve body can rest against a sealing surface.
- valve body of the valve of the outflow channel assigned to the desired jet type is moved by the actuating element along a valve body adjustment path, which in particular runs straight and/or parallel to the actuating plane of the actuating element, in the direction of the open position of the valve body adjusted.
- the respective valve is at least partially opened, so that liquid can flow out through the respective outflow channel.
- valve bodies of the plurality of valves are (mechanically) coupled to the actuating element in such a way that an adjustment of a valve body by the actuating element in the direction of the open position enables a closing movement of at least one other valve body in the direction of the closed position.
- the return movement or closing movement of the at least one other valve body in the direction of the closed position can be carried out, for example, by a liquid pressure prevailing in the shower head, in particular until the valve head of the valve body contacts the sealing surface in the closed position or the actuating element causes a further movement of the valve body in the direction of the closed position blocked.
- valve bodies of the plurality of valves are coupled to the actuating element in such a way that the actuating element always moves at least one valve body at least partially in the direction of the open position. This ensures that at least one valve is always at least partially open, so that the liquid can flow out through at least one outflow channel in every position of the actuating element in the operating plane. Even if the at least one actuating element is not actuated correctly or completely by the user to select a jet type, so that the valves are moved into an intermediate position between the closed position and the open position, it is ensured that it does not (automatically) close of all valves can come.
- valve bodies of the plurality of valves are connected to one another via the actuating element and their movement along the respective valve body actuating path is dependent on one another. This prevents impermissibly high liquid pressures from causing damage in the shower.
- the actuating element can be designed in the manner of a regular polygon.
- the operating plane can be circular.
- the plurality of valve bodies can be adjustable in the direction of the open position via an inner peripheral surface of the actuating element.
- the inner peripheral surface of the actuating element extends in particular in a peripheral direction of the actuating element and orthogonally to the actuating plane of the actuating element and/or in particular contacts a longitudinal end of the valve body or a piston section of the valve body.
- the valve bodies can be guided between the closed position and the open position by a carrier.
- the valve bodies are guided between the closed position and the open position, in particular by a common carrier.
- the carrier preferably consists at least partially of plastic and/or is at least partially arranged in the housing. Furthermore, the plurality of drain channels can be formed through the carrier.
- the valve bodies can be adjustable between the closed position and the open position along a valve body adjustment path, with the valve body adjustment path running orthogonally to a central axis of the actuating element.
- the closed position and the open position are located in particular at the respective longitudinal ends of the valve body travel.
- the valve body adjustment path is straight in particular.
- the valve body adjustment paths of the individual valve bodies run, in particular, in a star shape in the direction of the central axis of the adjustment element.
- An inlet chamber can be formed between the valve bodies.
- the at least one inflow channel of the housing opens into the inlet chamber.
- valve bodies can be adjustable in the direction of the closed position by a liquid pressure in the inlet chamber.
- a pressure element can be arranged between the valve bodies, by means of which the valve bodies can be adjusted in the direction of the closed position.
- the pressure element is in particular ring-shaped and/or can be arranged in the inlet chamber. Furthermore, the pressure element can be displaced in particular by a movement of a valve body in the direction of the open position in the inlet chamber, as a result of which the pressure element moves at least one other valve body in the direction of the closed position.
- a locking disk with a conical actuating surface can be formed between the at least one actuating element and the actuating element, with the conical actuating surface contacting an end face of the actuating element, so that the conical actuating surface moves the actuating element when the locking disk changes position (e.g. when tilting) in the actuating plane.
- a “tapered” configuration of the actuation surface may include a sloping outer contact surface, where “tapered” is not to be understood in the strict mathematical sense.
- a “locking disk” in this sense does not have to have an exclusively flat shape.
- the locking disc can, for. B. include a flat or planar central area and a kinked and / or obliquely to the outer collar. It is possible for the locking disk to be provided with elevations, depressions and/or openings.
- the locking disk can be designed in several parts. For example, 2, 3 or 4 locking disk elements can be provided which can be moved, in particular tilted, separately from one another.
- the locking disk elements can be fixed approximately in the middle or near the central axis via a joint and, if necessary, be movable or pivotable with the radially outer element area.
- the locking disk elements can have contours or side edges that match one another, so that together they have an essentially disk-like shape (possibly with narrow intermediate gaps).
- the 1 shows a shower 1 in longitudinal section.
- the shower head 1 has a housing 2 which, in the embodiment variant shown here, comprises a base plate 22 and a housing shell 21 .
- a liquid can be supplied to the shower head 1 via an inflow channel 3 of the housing 2 , the inflow channel 3 opening into an inlet chamber 16 .
- the shower 1 also has a disc-shaped actuating element 5, by means of which a user of the shower 1 can select a desired spray type.
- An actuating element 6 arranged in the housing 2 can be moved by the actuating element 5 in an actuating plane 7 which extends in the direction of the arrow 25 and a direction perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
- the shower 1 also has three valves 8.1, 8.2, 8.3, of which in the 1 only a first valve 8.1 and a third valve 8.3 can be seen.
- a first outflow channel 4.1 can be closed by the first valve 8.1 and a third outflow channel 4.3 of the housing 2 can be closed by the third valve 8.3.
- the 2 shows the shower head 1 in a first perspective sectional view.
- the actuating element 5 has a first pressure point 23.1 for selecting a first jet type or for actuating the first valve 8.1, a second pressure point 23.2 for selecting a second jet type or for actuating a second valve 8.2 and a third pressure point 23.3 for selecting a third jet type or .to operate the (in the 1 shown) third valve 8.3.
- the valves 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 are identical.
- the actuating element 5 tilts in the respective direction.
- the actuating element 5 is mounted in its center on a carrier 13 by a spring 24 .
- the valves 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 are located in the 2 shown operating position of the shower 1 in a neutral position in which the valves 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 are partially open, so that the liquid can flow out of the inlet chamber 16 through all outflow channels 4.1, 4.2, 4.3. In the neutral position, the shower head 1 can thus generate three different jet types at the same time.
- the discharge channels 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 lead to jet generators, not shown here, for generating the jet types.
- the actuating element 6 By tilting the actuating element 5, the actuating element 6 is in the housing 2 in the 1 actuation level 7 shown movable.
- the actuating element 6 is ring-shaped and has an L-shaped cross section 26 and a central axis 15 .
- the valves 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 are arranged within the actuating element 6.
- the first valve 8.1 has a first valve body 9.1, which has a first valve head 27.1 and a first piston section 29.1.
- the second valve 8.2 has a second valve body 9.2, which has a second valve head 27.2 and a second piston section 29.2.
- the first valve 8.1 contacts an inner peripheral surface 12 of the actuating element 6 with its first piston section 29.1 and the second valve 8.2 with its second piston section 29.2.
- the first valve head 27.1 contacts a first sealing surface 28.1 of the carrier 13 so that no liquid can flow out of the inlet chamber 16 through the first outflow channel 4.1.
- the second valve head 27.2 contacts a second sealing surface 28.2, so that no liquid can flow out of the inlet chamber 16 through the second outflow channel 4.2.
- the 3 shows the shower 1 in the first perspective view after activation of a second jet type.
- the second pressure point 23.2 of the actuating element 5 was pressed by a user, so that the actuating element 5 with the locking disk 18 was tilted in the housing 2 and the spring 24 was tensioned.
- the locking disk 18 has a plurality of actuating surfaces 19 which are inclined or conical in relation to the central axis 15 (see also 4 ), which contact an end face 20 of the actuating element 6 .
- the end face 20 of the actuating element 6 slides along the actuating surface 19 of the locking disc 18, so that the actuating element 6 in the area of the second valve 8.2 in the in the 1 actuation level 7 shown has been moved.
- the second valve body 9.2 of the second valve 8.2 was in the 2 shown neutral position adjusted along a second valve body adjustment path 14.2 in an open position 11.
- the open position 11 the second valve 8.2 is fully open, so that the liquid can flow out of the inlet chamber 16 through the second outflow channel 4.2.
- the Movement of the actuating element 6 in the actuation plane 7 simultaneously made it possible for the first valve body 9.1 to move into a closed position 10.
- the first valve body was 9.1 by the liquid pressure in the inlet chamber 16 from the 2 shown neutral position along a first valve body adjustment path 14.1 in the closed position 10 is adjusted.
- the annular pressure element 17 is arranged in the inlet chamber 16, by means of which the valve bodies 9.1, 9.2 of the valves 8.1, 8.2, 8.3 also are adjustable in the direction of the closed position 10.
- the pressure element 17 was correspondingly displaced here by the second valve head 27.2 of the second valve body 9.2 in the inlet chamber 16 in the direction of the first valve body 9.1, so that the first valve body 9.1 was moved into the closed position 10.
- the first valve head 27.1 of the first valve body 9.1 rests against the first sealing surface 28.1, so that no liquid can flow out of the inlet chamber 16 through the first outflow channel 4.1.
- the 4 shows the shower head 1 in a second perspective sectional view without the one in FIG 1 shown housing shell 21 and in the Fig.1 to 3 shown actuating element 5.
- the locking disc 18 with the spring 24 can be seen here in particular.
- the position of the valve body 9.3 is also indicated.
- the locking disk 18 has radially outer arms 31.1, 31.2, 31.3, on which the actuating surfaces 19 for the actuating element 6 are formed.
- the figure 5 shows the shower 1 in a third perspective view.
- the discharge channels 4.1, 4.2, 4.3 can be seen here.
- the locking disk 18 is made in several parts and includes three locking disk elements 32.1, 32.2, 32.3.
- the three locking disk elements 32.1, 32.2, 32.3 are mounted in an articulated manner near the central axis 15 and can therefore be tilted.
- the functioning of the individual locking disk elements 32.1, 32.2, 32.3 essentially corresponds to the functioning of the locking disk 18 described above, with the locking disk elements 32.1, 32.2, 32.3 shown here being movable separately.
- the present invention enables a shower head to be designed in a compact manner and prevents impermissibly high liquid pressures, which can lead to damage to the shower head.
