  • the dust bag is arranged in the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner in such a way that the suction air flow generated by the fan not only penetrates the dust bag itself, but also a flow area of the dust compartment surrounding the dust bag. Consequently, the suction air flow generated by means of the fan causes a pressure reduction both in the dust space and in the collecting space of the dust bag. It behaves in such a way that the pressure inside the collecting space decreases with increasing filling level of the dust bag, since the sucked in dirt particles continue to close the perforations of the cover. A pressure drop therefore occurs as a result of a filter effect of the dust bag. With an increasing degree of filling of the dust bag, a pressure difference between the flow area of the dust space and the collecting space of the dust bag rises.

Description

The invention relates to a storage bag according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner according to the preamble of claim 12.

The vacuum cleaner in the sense of the present application comprises a fan for generating a suction air flow as well as a dust space that is spatially enclosed by walls for receiving a dust bag. Furthermore, the vacuum cleaner has a cover, by means of which an at least substantially tight sealing of the dust space from the environment is made possible. The dust bag, which in the sense of the present application is suitable for being inserted into the dust compartment of a vacuum cleaner, for its part comprises a collecting space which is enclosed by a flexible cover. The shell can in particular be formed from two layers of a nonwoven material, for example welded in an edge region. However, it is also conceivable that the envelope consists of a (multilayer) paper. Furthermore, the dust bag comprises an inflow opening arranged on the cover. The inflow opening can for example be provided with a dust seal, which has tabs that can be pushed into a corresponding holder in the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner. The inflow opening is used for at least indirect connection of the dust bag to a suction channel, by means of which dirt particles can be guided into the dust bag. The cover of the dust bag is provided with a large number of perforations. As a result, the suction air flow, by means of which the dirt particles can be sucked through the inflow opening into the collecting space, can escape from the collecting space through the casing. The perforations have such a small diameter that a passage of at least a predominant proportion of the dirt particles through the perforations is prevented. In this way, the suction air flow laden with dirt particles, which can be guided through the inflow opening into the collecting space, can be filtered by means of a passage through the casing, with at least a large part of the dirt particles being separable.

In the context of the present invention, vacuum cleaners of any kind are understood to be vacuum cleaners. In particular, the present invention relates to so-called floor vacuum cleaners, in which a housing which contains at least the fan and the dust chamber is fluidly connected by means of a flexible hose to a typically metallic suction pipe which is provided at one end with a floor nozzle. The present invention also includes so-called handheld vacuum cleaners, in which the housing is typically connected to a floor nozzle by means of a rigid tube.

In the course of installing the dust bag, the same is placed in the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner and, as a rule, connected with its inflow opening to a floor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner by means of a suction hose and / or a suction pipe. In order to ensure that the suction air flow contaminated with the dirt particles flows as exclusively into the dust bag and not past the inlet opening into the dust chamber, the dust bag is typically inserted into a corresponding holder with tabs of a dust seal. The fan of the vacuum cleaner, by means of which the suction air flow is generated, is usually arranged opposite. As a rule, the dust bag is arranged in the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner in such a way that the suction air flow generated by the fan not only penetrates the dust bag itself, but also a flow area of the dust compartment surrounding the dust bag. The result is that the cover of the dust bag is sucked on the walls of the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner, which makes it much more difficult for the suction air flow to pass in areas that are directly adjacent to a wall of the dust compartment and consequently a reduction in the suction power of the vacuum cleaner, which a user can do of the vacuum cleaner is usually indicated by means of a dust bag change indicator.

In order to circumvent this problem, known vacuum cleaners are generally provided with holding elements, for example in the form of ribs, which are arranged on the walls of the dust chamber and extend from the walls into the dust chamber. The holding elements form a support surface for the dust bag and thus fulfill a support function. For the vacuum cleaner to function optimally, the design of the holding elements, in particular their arrangement and the geometry, is decisive. On the one hand, it is desirable to keep the contact surface small so as not to additionally close the outer surface of the dust bag and thereby reduce the suction power. On the other hand, however, an optimal design of the holding elements requires that the bearing surface is dimensioned in such a way that the dust bag is prevented from being pressed into the spaces created by the holding elements with a view to reducing the suction power. The position of the fan as well as that of the inflow opening determines the suitable design of the holding elements. In addition, in particular Rib-like retaining elements be arranged in the direction of the suction air flow so that they hinder the latter as little as possible.

It has been found to be problematic with the known vacuum cleaners that the holding elements are specially adapted to a certain motor variant and to the dust bags provided by the respective manufacturer. However, if, for example, a third-party dust bag from a manufacturer other than the manufacturer of the vacuum cleaner is used, it can sometimes happen that a small proportion of the dirt particles are directed past the suction bag into the dust compartment and thereby lead to contamination of the same. A subsequent cleaning of the dust space has proven to be idle and time-consuming due to the protruding holding elements, so that in practice any contamination of the dust space is often accepted, including the resulting hygiene deficiencies. In addition to this disadvantage, the optical appearance of the dust compartment is also clouded by the holding elements.

The EP 2 502 538 B1 provides a dust bag, the walls of which are connected to one another by means of a connecting device. It is further provided that at least one wall is provided with surface folds which, when the vacuum cleaner is in operation, stand up against an outer surface of the dust bag due to the suction air flow. The surface folds should be suitable for enlarging the area of the dust bag in order to thereby bring about a higher dust holding capacity. By means of the connecting device, the distance between the walls should be adjustable in such a way that optimal development of the surface folds is made possible.

The present application is therefore based on the object of overcoming the aforementioned disadvantages and enabling simplified cleaning of the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen 2 bis 11.The underlying object is achieved according to the invention by means of a dust bag with the features of claim 1. Advantageous refinements emerge from subclaims 2 to 11.

The dust bag according to the invention is characterized by at least one spacer element arranged on the cover, which extends from an outer lateral surface of the cover in a direction facing away from the cover, so that the cover during installation of the dust bag in a dust compartment of a vacuum cleaner by means of the spacer element can be held at least in some areas at a distance from a wall of the dust chamber.

The dust bag according to the invention has many advantages. In particular, the spacer element prevents, at least in some areas, the dust bag from being “sucked in” against the wall of the vacuum cleaner as a result of the pressure difference described above between the flow area and the collecting space of the dust bag. In this way, the entire envelope of the dust bag can preferably be used to receive the dirt particles that have been sucked in. The spacer element thus fulfills the spacing function achieved by the known holding elements. However, the spacer element is advantageously arranged on the dust bag and therefore not on a wall of the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner. The requirement of holding elements arranged on the wall of the dust chamber, as they are known from the prior art, is thus eliminated at least in areas of the dust bag which are provided with one or more spacer elements.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention it is provided that the dust bag is provided with a multiplicity of spacer elements which are arranged at least in regions distributed on the cover. The dust bag preferably has so many spacer elements that the formation of known holding elements in the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner can be completely dispensed with. In particular, a simplified cleaning of the dust chamber can be achieved in this way, since the wall of the dust chamber can in particular be made smooth and without projections. Such a wall can be cleaned particularly easily using a cleaning cloth. Furthermore, the visual appearance of the dust compartment is positively influenced.

A preferred embodiment provides that at least some of the spacer elements are arranged on the shell in such a way that they together form a strip of spacer elements. The arrangement of the spacer elements in a strip is particularly advantageous in particular with regard to a supporting force of the same. In this way, the dust bag can be particularly well supported against unintentional suction as a result of the prevailing pressure differences. For example, it is conceivable that the spacer elements are arranged in such a way that they follow a geometry predetermined by the known holding elements. It is thus conceivable that the geometry of the holding elements is, as it were, transferred to the cover of the dust bag in a mirror image. Advantageously, the geometry that has already been adapted to the respective model of the vacuum cleaner can thus be simply adopted. The spacer elements according to the invention hereby analogously fulfill the spacing function of the holding elements, but lead to an improvement in the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner with regard to simplified cleaning and the visual appearance.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is therefore provided that spacer elements are arranged at least on an underside of the cover which, when the dust bag is inserted into the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner as intended, faces a floor of the dust compartment. Furthermore, it is provided according to a further feature of the invention that spacer elements are arranged at least on one side section of the cover which, when the dust bag is inserted into the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner as intended, faces a side wall of the dust compartment. It is also conceivable that the dust bag is provided with spacer elements completely, that is to say on all of its sides. As a result, the arrangement of ribs or similar holding structures on the walls of the dust compartment can be dispensed with entirely.

Furthermore, it is particularly advantageous if the at least one spacer element, preferably all of the spacer elements, is so rigid that it is suitable for locally supporting the cover of the dust bag when it is in an empty state, so that the cover is in an effective area of the spacer element by means of of the spacer element can be kept at a distance from a wall of the dust compartment. In a particularly advantageous development, the spacer element is nevertheless deformable in such a way that when the dust bag is in a filling state in which the dust bag is filled with dirt particles to such an extent that it should be replaced, the spacer element "collapses", whereby the distance of the Shell is reduced to the wall of the dust chamber in the effective area of the spacer element, preferably the shell of the dust bag rests against the associated wall of the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner.

The dust bag is typically in its empty state before it is used for the first time. In this condition, the dust bag is free from dirt particles. Likewise, however, the empty state of the dust bag in the sense of the present application is understood to mean the state in which the same is neither empty, i.e. free of dirt particles, nor filled in such a way that further absorption of dirt particles is at least greatly reduced. Rather, the empty state is also an "intermediate state" in which the dust bag is provided for receiving dirt particles. In the filled state of the dust bag, however, the same is filled with dirt particles in such a way that the suction power of the vacuum cleaner is reduced in such a way that the absorption of further dirt particles is at least greatly reduced, since the suction air flow can only penetrate the perforations of the cover with difficulty. When the filling level is reached, the dust bag should be changed.

When the dust bag is empty, the spacer element enables the dust bag to be supported against the walls of the dust compartment. In particular, the spacer element is designed to be so stiff that it takes the weight of the dust bag and the result of the on the shell of the dust bag resulting pressure drop can dissipate pressure force into the wall of the dust chamber. When the vacuum cleaner is in operation, the pressure difference between the collecting space and the flow-through space causes the dust bag to be sucked against the spacer elements, which increases as the dust bag is filled. In addition, the weight of the dust bag increases due to the dirt particles that collect in it. When a given limit force for the respective spacer element is reached, the spacer element buckles elastically, for example in the middle. It is also conceivable that one end of the spacer element yields elastically from a contact point on the wall of the dust chamber, which the end of the spacer element touches in the empty state. The spacer element is preferably dimensioned in such a way that this kinking or deflection occurs as soon as the dust bag reaches its full state. In any case, this reduces the distance between the shell and the associated wall of the dust chamber, preferably to zero. The result is that the cover rests against the wall of the dust compartment, which leads to a reduction in suction power, which is displayed to the user, for example by means of a dust bag change indicator.

In known vacuum cleaners provided with holding elements, the pressure drop occurs continuously. However, this has proven to be problematic in particular with regard to vacuum cleaners with a low power consumption. Due to the already small pressure differences between the collecting space and the flow area of the dust space, the reaching of the maximum filling state of the dust bag can generally not be detected by the dust bag change indicator. The buckling of the spacer elements according to the invention leads to an abrupt drop in pressure. It has been found that a sudden drop in pressure can be detected particularly well by the dust bag change indicator of a vacuum cleaner provided with a low power consumption. Advantageously, the fill level of the dust bag can thus also be displayed to the user of vacuum cleaners with low power consumption by the dust bag change indicator. The user of the vacuum cleaner is informed that the dust bag needs to be changed.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that at least one spacer element, preferably all spacer elements, are knob-shaped or bristle-shaped, with a length of a respective spacer element preferably exceeding its diameter by at least 10 times, preferably at least 30 times. It has been found that the elongated configuration of the spacer elements has the property of buckling in a particularly advantageous manner when a certain external force is reached. A force required for this depends on the ratio between the length and the diameter of the spacer element and on the material of the spacer element.

Consequently, the above configuration of the spacer element enables a prior definition of a change interval for the dust bag.

A length of the spacer element is preferably at least 5 mm, preferably at least 10 mm, more preferably at least 15 mm. It has been found that such a length of the spacer element is particularly well suited to achieve the required distance between the dust compartment and the dust bag and also leads to a suitable replacement interval.

Another embodiment of the invention also provides that the spacer element is formed from a flexible plastic, in particular polypropylene or a thermoplastic elastomer. The change interval can thus also advantageously be determined by means of a suitable selection of the material of the spacer element. Furthermore, the above materials are particularly easy to apply to a dust bag, for example by means of the hotmelt process. Here, one end of the spacer element is heated up to a temperature at which a deformation of the material is made possible. This end is placed on the outer surface of the shell of the spacer element. When the material cools down, there is a force-fit connection with the shell. Furthermore, it is also conceivable to arrange the spacer element on the outer surface of the dust bag by means of weaving or stuffing methods. In the weaving process, the spacer element is mechanically woven as a thread into the outer surface of the dust bag. In the stuffing process, the spacer element is "stuffed" into the outer jacket surface.

A particularly advantageous further development of the dust bag according to the invention provides that the spacer element is impermeable to air. Advantageously, it can thus be prevented that the spacer element is also sucked against the wall of the dust chamber and as a result no longer contributes to the support of the dust bag. The stability of the spacer element is also improved.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the spacer element can be reversibly bent. It is conceivable that the dust bag is temporarily filled unevenly when it is filled, as a result of which the dust bag would be locally exposed to higher loads. In order to prevent the spacer element from staying permanently in a bent position in this case - and thus reducing the suction power of the vacuum cleaner - it is particularly advantageous if the spacer element can be reversibly bent so that it can return to its original shape as soon as the dirt particles were evenly distributed in the dust bag.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen des erfindungsgemäßen Staubsaugers ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen 13 bis 14.The underlying object is also achieved by means of a vacuum cleaner with the features of claim 12. Advantageous configurations of the vacuum cleaner according to the invention emerge from the subclaims 13 to 14.

The vacuum cleaner according to the invention is characterized in that at least one wall of the dust chamber is designed without protrusions.

The vacuum cleaner according to the invention has many advantages. In particular, a simplified cleaning of the dust chamber is made possible by means of the projection-free design of the walls. As a result, the wall of the dust chamber can be wiped out in a particularly simple manner, for example, without a user of the vacuum cleaner being hindered by known holding elements arranged in the dust chamber. Furthermore, the visual appearance of the dust room is also improved.

One embodiment of the invention provides that at least one floor of the dust chamber is designed without protrusions, in particular without ribs. A particularly advantageous further development also provides that at least one side wall of the dust chamber is designed without protrusions, in particular without ribs. Preferably, all of the walls of the dust chamber are free of protrusions, in particular rib-free, so that the dust chamber is formed by preferably smooth, flat walls.

Figure 1 shows a vacuum cleaner 2 according to the invention. The vacuum cleaner 2 has a housing 17 which delimits an interior space 18 and can be closed at least substantially in a sealing manner against an environment by means of a cover 16. In the interior 18 of the vacuum cleaner 2 , a fan 15 and a dust chamber 8, which is spatially enclosed by walls 9, for receiving a dust bag 1 are arranged. By means of the fan 15 is a Generates suction air flow, which brings about a mobilization and a removal of the dirt particles located on a floor surface 19 of a room 20 to be cleaned. For this purpose, the vacuum cleaner 2 comprises a floor nozzle 21 which is fluidly connected to the fan 15 by means of a suction pipe 22 and an adjacent suction hose 23 . The dirt particles are guided from the floor nozzle 21 via the suction pipe 22 and the suction hose 23 into the dust bag 1 and stored there. A user of the vacuum cleaner 2 is shown by a dust bag change indicator 24 that the dust bag 1 has reached its maximum capacity.

A first embodiment of a dust bag 1 according to the invention is shown in Figures 2 to 5 shown. The dust bag 1 according to the invention comprises a collecting space 4 enclosed by a flexible envelope 3 and an inflow opening 5 arranged in the envelope 3. The inflow opening 5 is provided with a dust seal 25. The dust seal 25 is formed from cardboard and has two tabs extending from the inflow opening 5. The dust bag 1 is inserted into the dust compartment 8 when the vacuum cleaner 2 is started up. Here, the tabs of the dust seal 25 can be pushed into a holder in the dust compartment 8 , which is not shown separately in the figures, in order to fix the dust bag 1 in the dust compartment 8 and at the same time ensure that the suction air flow contaminated with the dirt particles only flows through the dust bag 1. In this case, the dust bag 1 does not completely fill the dust space 8 , so that there is a flow-through area 26 which, starting from an outer jacket surface 7 of the dust bag 1 , extends towards the walls 9 of the dust space 8. In an operating state of the vacuum cleaner 2 , the suction air flow generated by the fan 15 causes the dirt particles to be sucked in from the floor nozzle 21 into the collecting space 4 of the dust bag 1. The cover 3 of the dust bag 1 is made of a nonwoven fabric and has a large number of perforations. Here, the perforations of the cover 3 have such a small diameter that at least a predominant proportion of the dirt particles are prevented from passing through the perforations, so that the dirt particles are held in the dust bag 1 and thus separated from the suction air flow. The suction air flow, on the other hand, can escape through the perforations in the cover 3 from the collecting space 4 into the flow area 26 of the dust space 8. As the degree of filling of the dust bag 1 increases , the perforations of the cover 3 are increasingly clogged by the dirt particles, so that the dust bag 1 causes a pressure drop in the dust space 8. As a result, there is a difference between the pressure within the collecting space 4 of the dust bag 1 and the flow area 26 of the dust space 8 as well as a pressure force due to an increased weight of the dust bag 1, whereby the shell 3 of the dust bag 1 with increasing filling level more closely to the wall 9 of the Dust chamber 8 is sucked.

The sheath 3 is provided in some areas with a multiplicity of spacer elements 6 , which, starting from the outer jacket surface 7 of the sheath 3, extend in a direction facing away from the sheath 3. The spacers 6 are, as in FIG Figure 5 shown, bristle-shaped and have a length 12 which exceeds a diameter 13 by at least 10 times. The spacers 6, as in the Figure 4 shown, arranged uniformly on an underside 11 of the cover 3 , which face a floor 10 of the dust chamber 8 when the dust bag 1 is inserted into the dust chamber 8 of the vacuum cleaner 2 as intended. The spacer elements 6 are formed from a flexible plastic and are impermeable to air. In one, as in the Figure 2 shown, empty state of the dust bag 1 , the spacer elements 6 support the shell 3 of the dust bag 1 at a distance 14 against the walls 9 of the dust compartment 8 to prevent the dust bag 1 from being sucked in and thereby reducing the suction power.

In the filling state, however, which in Figure 3 is shown, a pressure difference between the collecting space 4 of the dust bag 1 and the flow-through space 26 and the increased weight of the dust bag 1 causes a force to act on the spacer elements 6, which causes the spacer elements 6 to buckle. This results in a reduction in the distance 14 between the envelope 3 of the dust bag 1 and the wall 9 of the dust chamber 8, which consequently leads to the pressure dropping suddenly. This pressure drop is displayed to the user of the vacuum cleaner 2 via the dust bag change display 24. The user is informed that the dust bag 1 needs to be changed.

Figures 6 and 7th show a second embodiment of a dust bag 1 according to the invention. The dust bag 1 is basically constructed analogously to the dust bag 1 described above and differs only in the design of the spacer elements 6. In contrast to the first embodiment, the spacer elements 6 are formed in the form of loops. During the manufacture of the dust bag 1 , a plastic is extruded and, in the plastic state, is deposited at certain points on the outer jacket surface 7 of the dust bag 1. The resulting loops are on the one hand, as in Figure 7 shown, fixed at points on the cover of the dust bag. On the other hand, after the dust bag 1 is installed, the loops stand as in FIG Figure 6 shown, punctually with the floor 10 of the dust chamber 8 in contact. Here, too, the spacer elements 6 fulfill a support function in order to prevent the casing 3 from being sucked in. However, when a certain force caused by the pressure differences and a force caused by the increasing dead weight acts on the loops 6 , they deviate from the wall 9 of the dust chamber 8 in such a way that the envelope 3 of the dust bag 1 can be sucked onto the walls 9 of the dust chamber 8 becomes. Here too, the dustbag change indicator 24 signals to the user that the dustbag 1 has reached its full state.
