Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Staubbeutel gemäß dem Oberbegriff von Anspruch 1The invention relates to a dust bag according to the preamble of claim 1

The vacuum cleaner includes a blower for generating a suction air flow and a dust chamber, spatially enclosed by walls, for receiving a dust bag. Furthermore, the vacuum cleaner has a cover, by means of which an at least essentially tight sealing of the dust chamber against the environment is made possible. The dust bag, which in the sense of the present application is suitable for being used in the dust chamber of a vacuum cleaner, in turn comprises a collection chamber which is surrounded by a flexible cover. The cover can in particular be formed from two layers of a non-woven fabric, for example welded in an edge region. However, it is also conceivable that the sleeve consists of a (multi-layer) paper. Furthermore, the dust bag includes an inflow opening arranged on the cover. The inflow opening can be provided with a dust seal, for example, which has tabs that can be pushed into a corresponding holder in the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner. The inflow opening serves to at least indirectly connect the dust bag to a suction channel, by means of which dirt particles can be guided into the dust bag. The cover of the dust bag is provided with a large number of perforations. As a result, the suction air flow, by means of which the dirt particles can be sucked through the inflow opening into the collection space, can escape through the casing and out of the collection space. The perforations have such a small diameter that at least a majority of the dirt particles are prevented from passing through the perforations. In this way, the suction air flow loaded with dirt particles, which can be guided through the inflow opening into the collection chamber, can be filtered by passing through the casing, with at least a large part of the dirt particles being able to be separated.

For the purposes of the present invention, vacuum cleaners of any type are understood to be vacuum cleaners. In particular, the present invention relates to so-called canister vacuum cleaners, in which a housing containing at least the fan and the dust compartment is fluidically connected by means of a flexible hose to a typically metallic suction pipe, which is provided with a floor nozzle at one end. Also included according to the present invention are so-called hand-held vacuum cleaners, in which the housing is typically connected to a floor nozzle by means of a rigid pipe.

In the course of installing the dust bag, it is placed in the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner and its inflow opening is usually connected to a floor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner by means of a suction hose and/or a suction pipe. In order to ensure that the suction air stream containing the dirt particles flows as exclusively as possible into the dust bag and not past the inflow opening into the dust chamber, the dust bag is typically inserted into a corresponding holder with tabs of a dust seal. The fan of the vacuum cleaner, by means of which the suction air flow is generated, is usually arranged opposite. As a rule, the dust bag is arranged in the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner in such a way that the suction air flow generated by the fan passes through not only the dust bag itself, but also a flow area of the dust chamber surrounding the dust bag. Consequently, the suction air flow generated by the fan causes a pressure reduction both in the dust chamber and in the collection chamber of the dust bag. The situation is such that the pressure within the collection space drops as the dust bag is filled to an increasing extent, since the sucked-in dirt particles continue to close the perforations in the cover. Consequently, a pressure drop occurs as a result of a filtering effect of the dust bag. As the degree of filling of the dust bag increases, a pressure difference between the flow area of the dust chamber and the collecting chamber of the dust bag increases. The result is that the cover of the dust bag is sucked against the walls of the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner, making it considerably more difficult for the suction air flow to pass through in areas that are directly adjacent to a wall of the dust chamber and thus causing a reduction in the suction power of the vacuum cleaner, which a user of the vacuum cleaner is usually displayed by means of a dust bag change indicator.

To circumvent this problem, known vacuum cleaners are generally provided with holding elements, for example in the form of ribs, which are arranged on the walls of the dust compartment and extend from the walls into the dust compartment. The holding elements form a contact surface for the dust bag and thus fulfill a support function. The design of the holding elements, in particular their arrangement and geometry, is decisive for optimal functioning of the vacuum cleaner. On the one hand, it is desirable to keep the contact surface small in order not to additionally close the outer surface of the dust bag and thereby cause a reduction in suction power. On the other hand, however, an optimal design of the holding elements requires that the contact surface is dimensioned in such a way that the dust bag is prevented from being pressed into the gaps created by the holding elements with a view to reducing the suction power. The position of the fan as well as that of the inflow opening determines the suitable design of the holding elements. In addition, in particular be arranged rippen-like holding elements in the direction of the suction air flow, so that they impede the latter as little as possible.

It has turned out to be problematic with the known vacuum cleaners that the holding elements are specially adapted to a specific engine variant and to the dust bags provided by the respective manufacturer. However, if, for example, a dust bag from a different brand is used from a different manufacturer than the manufacturer of the vacuum cleaner, it can sometimes happen that a small proportion of the dirt particles are routed past the vacuum bag into the dust compartment and thus lead to contamination of the same. Subsequent cleaning of the dust chamber has turned out to be unnecessary and time-consuming due to the protruding holding elements, so that in practice any contamination of the dust chamber is often accepted, including the resulting hygiene deficiencies. In addition to this disadvantage, the visual appearance of the dust chamber is also marred by the holding elements.

The EP 2 502 538 B1 provides a dust bag, the walls of which are connected to one another by means of a connecting device. Provision is also made for at least one wall to be provided with surface folds which, when the vacuum cleaner is in operation, form against an outer surface of the dust bag due to the flow of suction air. The surface folds should be suitable for increasing the surface area of the dust bag, in order to thereby bring about a higher dust holding capacity. The distance between the walls should be adjustable by means of the connecting device in such a way that an optimal unfolding of the surface folds is made possible.

The FR 2 366 866 A1 discloses a dust bag for a vacuum cleaner with a cover that is provided with a number of perforations so that a suction air flow, by means of which dirt particles can be sucked through the inflow opening into the collection space, can escape through the cover and out of the collection space. A spacer element is arranged on the outside of the cover, which, starting from the outer lateral surface, extends in a direction away from the cover, so that the cover is spaced from the wall of the dust compartment.

The EP 2 502 538 B1 discloses a dust bag having a sleeve which forms folds on the outside thereof. These folds are suitable for spacing the dust bag in sections from a wall of the dust chamber.

The present application is therefore based on the object of overcoming the aforementioned disadvantages and of enabling simplified cleaning of the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner.

Vorteilhafte Ausgestaltungen ergeben sich aus den Unteransprüchen 2 bis 10.The underlying object is achieved according to the invention by means of a dust bag with the features of claim 1. Advantageous configurations result from subclaims 2 to 10.

The dust bag according to the invention is characterized by at least one spacer element which is arranged on the cover and which, starting from an outer surface of the cover, extends in a direction away from the cover, so that the cover can be moved by means of the spacer element during installation of the dust bag in a dust chamber of a vacuum cleaner can be kept at a distance, at least in some areas, from a wall of the dust chamber.

The dust bag according to the invention has many advantages. In particular, the spacer element prevents the dust bag from being "sucked" onto the wall of the vacuum cleaner, at least in certain areas, as a result of the pressure difference described above between the flow area and the collection chamber of the dust bag. As a result, the entire cover of the dust bag can preferably be used to collect the dirt particles that have been sucked in. The spacer element thus fulfills the spacer function achieved by the known holding elements. However, the spacer element is advantageously arranged on the dust bag and therefore not on a wall of the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner. The need for holding elements arranged on the wall of the dust chamber, as known from the prior art, is thus eliminated at least in areas of the dust bag which are provided with one or more spacer elements.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the dust bag is provided with a multiplicity of spacer elements which are distributed at least in regions on the casing. The dust bag preferably has so many spacer elements that the formation of known holding elements in the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner can be completely dispensed with. In this way, in particular, simplified cleaning of the dust chamber can be achieved, since the wall of the dust chamber can be designed in particular to be smooth and without projections. Such a wall can be cleaned particularly easily using a cleaning cloth. Furthermore, the visual appearance of the dust chamber is positively influenced.

A preferred embodiment provides that at least some of the spacer elements are arranged on the casing in such a way that together they form a strip of spacer elements. The arrangement of the spacer elements in a strip is particularly advantageous in particular with regard to a supporting force of the same. As a result, the dust bag can be supported particularly well against unintentional suction as a result of the prevailing pressure differences. For example, it is conceivable that the Spacer elements are arranged in such a way that they follow a geometry predetermined by the known holding elements. It is therefore conceivable that the geometry of the holding elements is, so to speak, transferred as a mirror image to the cover of the dust bag. Advantageously, the geometry already adapted to the respective model of the vacuum cleaner can thus be simply adopted. The spacer elements according to the invention thus fulfill the spacer function of the holding elements in an analogous manner, but lead to an improvement in the dust compartment of the vacuum cleaner with regard to simplified cleaning and the visual appearance.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is therefore provided that spacer elements are arranged at least on an underside of the cover, which faces a floor of the dust chamber when the dust bag is properly inserted into the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner. Furthermore, according to a further feature of the invention, it is provided that spacer elements are arranged at least on a side section of the cover, which faces a side wall of the dust chamber when the dust bag is inserted as intended into the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner. It is also conceivable that the dust bag is provided with spacer elements completely, ie on all its sides. As a result, the arrangement of ribs or similar holding structures on the walls of the dust chamber can be dispensed with entirely.

Furthermore, it is particularly advantageous if the at least one spacer element, preferably all spacer elements, is designed to be so stiff that it is suitable for locally supporting the cover of the dust bag when it is empty, so that the cover is in an effective range of the spacer element by means of of the spacer element can be kept at a distance from a wall of the dust chamber. In the invention, the spacer element is nevertheless deformable in such a way that when the dust bag is in a filling state in which the dust bag is filled with dirt particles to such a degree that it should be changed, the spacer element "collapses", thereby increasing the distance between the cover and the wall of the dust chamber is reduced in the effective range of the spacer element, preferably the cover of the dust bag rests against the associated wall of the dust chamber of the vacuum cleaner.

The dust bag is typically in its empty state prior to first use. In this state, the dust bag is free of dirt particles. However, the empty state of the dust bag within the meaning of the present application is also understood to mean the state in which the same is neither empty, i.e. free of dirt particles, nor filled in such a way that further absorption of dirt particles is at least greatly reduced. Rather, the empty state is also an "intermediate state" in which the dust bag intended for picking up dirt particles. In the filling state of the dust bag, however, the same is filled with dirt particles in such a way that the suction power of the vacuum cleaner is reduced to such an extent that the intake of further dirt particles is at least greatly reduced, since the suction air flow can only penetrate the perforations of the cover with difficulty. When the filling level is reached, the dust bag should be changed.

In the empty state of the dust bag, the spacer element enables the dust bag to be supported against the walls of the dust chamber. In particular, the spacer element is designed to be so rigid that it can carry the dead weight of the dust bag and the compressive force resulting from the pressure drop occurring on the cover of the dust bag into the wall of the dust chamber. When the vacuum cleaner is in operation, the pressure difference between the collection chamber and the through-flow chamber causes the dust bag to be sucked against the spacer elements, which increases as the dust bag is filled to an increasing extent. In addition, the dead weight of the dust bag increases due to the dirt particles that accumulate in it. When a limit force given for the respective spacer element is reached, the spacer element buckles elastically, for example in the middle. It is also conceivable that one end of the spacer element yields elastically from a contact point on the wall of the dust chamber, which the end of the spacer element touches in the empty state. The spacer element is preferably dimensioned in such a way that this buckling or yielding occurs as soon as the dust bag has reached its filling level. In any case, this reduces the distance between the cover and the associated wall of the dust chamber, preferably to zero. The result is that the cover comes into contact with the wall of the dust compartment, which leads to a reduction in the suction power, which is indicated to the user, for example, by means of a dust bag change indicator.

In known vacuum cleaners provided with holding elements, the pressure drop occurs continuously. However, this has turned out to be problematic, particularly with regard to vacuum cleaners with a low power consumption. Due to the already low pressure differences between the collection space and the flow area of the dust space, the dust bag change indicator generally cannot detect when the dust bag has reached its maximum filling level. The buckling of the spacer elements according to the invention leads to an abrupt drop in pressure. It has been found that a sudden drop in pressure can be detected particularly well by the dust bag change indicator of a vacuum cleaner with a low power consumption. Advantageously, the fill level of the dust bag can also be displayed by the dust bag change indicator to the user of vacuum cleaners with low power consumption. The user of the vacuum cleaner is thus informed that the dust bag needs to be changed.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that at least one spacer element, preferably all spacer elements, are nub-shaped or bristle-shaped, with a length of a respective spacer element preferably exceeding its diameter by at least 10 times, preferably at least 30 times. It has been found that the elongated configuration of the spacer elements has the property of buckling in a particularly advantageous manner when a certain external force is applied. A force required for this depends on the ratio between the length and the diameter of the spacer element and on the material of the spacer element. Consequently, the above design of the spacer element allows a change interval of the dust bag to be determined beforehand.

A length of the spacer element is preferably at least 5 mm, preferably at least 10 mm, more preferably at least 15 mm. It has been found that such a length of the spacer element is particularly well suited to achieving the required distance between the dust compartment and the dust bag and also leads to a suitable replacement interval.

A further embodiment of the invention also provides that the spacer element is formed from a flexible plastic, in particular polypropylene or a thermoplastic elastomer. Advantageously, the change interval can thus also be determined by means of a suitable selection of the material of the spacer element. Furthermore, the above materials are particularly easy to attach to a dust bag, for example by means of the hot-melt process. In this case, one end of the spacer element is heated to a temperature at which deformation of the material is made possible. This end is placed on the outer surface of the shell of the spacer. When the material cools down, a non-positive connection is made with the shell. Furthermore, it is also conceivable to arrange the spacer element on the outer lateral surface of the dust bag by means of weaving or stuffing processes. In the weaving process, the spacer element is mechanically woven into the outer surface of the dust bag as a thread. In the stuffing process, the spacer element is "stuffed" into the outer lateral surface.

A particularly advantageous further development of the dust bag according to the invention provides that the spacer element is impermeable to air. Advantageously, it can thus be prevented that the spacer element is also sucked against the wall of the dust chamber and as a result no longer contributes to supporting the dust bag. The stability of the spacer element is also improved.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the spacer element can be bent reversibly. It is conceivable that the dust bag is filled unevenly at times during filling, as a result of which the dust bag would be exposed to a higher local load. In order to prevent the spacer element from staying permanently in a bent position in this case - and thus reducing the suction power of the vacuum cleaner - it is particularly advantageous if the spacer element can be bent reversibly, so that the same can therefore return to its original shape as soon as the dirt particles evenly distributed in the anther.

The vacuum cleaner 2 has a housing 17 , which delimits an interior space 18 and can be closed by means of a cover 16 at least essentially sealingly against the environment. In the interior 18 of the vacuum cleaner 2, a blower 15 and a spatially bordered by walls 9 dust chamber 8 for receiving a dust bag 1 are arranged. A suction air flow is generated by means of the blower 15 , which causes a mobilization and a removal of the dirt particles located on a floor surface 19 of a room 20 to be cleaned. For this purpose, the vacuum cleaner 2 comprises a floor nozzle 21 which is connected in terms of flow to the blower 15 by means of a suction pipe 22 and an adjacent suction hose 23 . The dirt particles are guided from the floor nozzle 21 via the suction tube 22 and the suction hose 23 into the dust bag 1 and stored there. A dust bag replacement display 24 indicates to a user of the vacuum cleaner 2 that the dust bag 1 has reached a maximum capacity.

A first embodiment of a dust bag 1 according to the invention is in the Figures 2 to 5 shown. The dust bag 1 according to the invention comprises a collection space 4 surrounded by a flexible cover 3 and an inflow opening 5 arranged in the cover 3 . The inflow opening 5 is provided with a dust seal 25 . The dust seal 25 is made of cardboard and has two tabs extending from the inflow opening 5 . The dust bag 1 is inserted into the dust chamber 8 when the vacuum cleaner 2 is put into operation. Here, the tabs of the dust seal 25 can be pushed into a holder in the dust chamber 8 (not shown separately in the figures) in order to fix the dust bag 1 in the dust chamber 8 and at the same time ensure that the suction air flow containing the dirt particles only flows through the dust bag 1 . The dust bag 1 does not fill the dust chamber 8 completely, so that there is a flow area 26 which extends from an outer lateral surface 7 of the dust bag 1 to the walls 9 of the dust chamber 8 . When the vacuum cleaner 2 is in operation, the suction air flow generated by the blower 15 causes the dirt particles to be sucked in from the floor nozzle 21 into the collection space 4 of the dust bag 1. The cover 3 of the dust bag 1 is made of a nonwoven fabric and has a large number of perforations. The perforations of the cover 3 have such a small diameter that at least a major part of the dirt particles is prevented from passing through the perforations, so that the dirt particles are held in the dust bag 1 and thus separated from the suction air flow. The suction air flow, on the other hand, can escape through the perforations of the cover 3 from the collection space 4 into the through-flow area 26 of the dust space 8 . As the degree of filling of the dust bag 1 increases, the perforations of the cover 3 are increasingly blocked by the dirt particles, so that the dust bag 1 causes a pressure drop in the dust chamber 8 . As a result, there is a difference between the pressure within the Collection chamber 4 of the dust bag 1 and the flow area 26 of the dust chamber 8 as well as a compressive force due to an increased dead weight of the dust bag 1, whereby the cover 3 of the dust bag 1 is sucked more strongly against the wall 9 of the dust chamber 8 as the degree of filling increases.

The shell 3 is provided in some areas with a multiplicity of spacer elements 6 which, starting from the outer lateral surface 7 of the shell 3 , extend in a direction away from the shell 3 . The spacer elements 6 are, as in figure 5 shown, shaped like bristles and have a length 12 that exceeds a diameter 13 by at least 10 times. The spacers 6, as in the figure 4 shown, evenly arranged on an underside 11 of the shell 3, which are facing a bottom 10 of the dust chamber 8 in an intended use of the dust bag 1 in the dust chamber 8 of the vacuum cleaner 2 . The spacer elements 6 are made of a flexible plastic and are impermeable to air. In one, like in the figure 2 When the dust bag 1 is empty, as shown, the spacer elements 6 support the cover 3 of the dust bag 1 at a distance 14 against the walls 9 of the dust chamber 8 in order to prevent the dust bag 1 from being sucked in and thereby reducing the suction power.

In the filling state, however, which in figure 3 is shown, a pressure difference between the collection space 4 of the dust bag 1 and the flow space 26 and the increased weight of the dust bag 1 causes a force to act on the spacer elements 6, which results in the spacer elements 6 buckling. This results in a reduction in the distance 14 between the cover 3 of the dust bag 1 and the wall 9 of the dust chamber 8, which consequently leads to the pressure dropping suddenly. This drop in pressure is displayed to the user of the vacuum cleaner 2 via the dust bag change indicator 24 . The user is thus informed that the dust bag 1 needs to be changed.

Auch hier wird dem Verwender das Erreichen des Füllzustands des Staubbeutels 1 von der Staubbeutelwechselanzeige 24 signalisiert. figures 6 and 7 show a second embodiment of a dust bag 1 according to the invention. The dust bag 1 is basically constructed analogously to the dust bag 1 described above and differs only in the design of the spacer elements 6. In contrast to the first exemplary embodiment, the spacer elements 6 are in the form of loops. In the production of the dust bag 1, a plastic is extruded and deposited in the plastic state at certain points on the outer lateral surface 7 of the dust bag 1 . The resulting loops are on the one hand, as in figure 7 shown, punctiform fixed to the envelope of the anther. On the other hand, after installing the dust bag 1, the loops stand as in figure 6 shown, selectively with the floor 10 of the dust chamber 8 in contact. Here, too, the spacer elements 6 fulfill a supporting function in order to prevent the casing 3 from being sucked in. When exposed to a certain, by the pressure differences and a force on the loops 6 caused by the increasing dead weight, however, deviate from the wall 9 of the dust chamber 8 in such a way that the cover 3 of the dust bag 1 can be sucked onto the walls 9 of the dust chamber 8 . Here, too, the dust bag change indicator 24 signals to the user that the dust bag 1 has been filled.
