Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for collecting excrement, in particular dog excrement, according to claim 1.
  • Dog owners especially in urban areas, are obliged to clean up the excrement their dogs shed. They usually use a plastic bag to do this. This is usually drawn over one of the hands by the owner. The dog owner grabs the excrement with the hand covered by the plastic bag and lifts it off the ground. The plastic bag is then turned inside out so that the excrement is now inside the bag. The bag of excrement can now be thrown away. If necessary, special waste containers are available for this purpose.
  • this method avoids direct contact between the hand and the excrement, at least on the surface, this method is not completely hygienic.
  • the plastic bag can have small tears, which can invisibly soil your hands.
  • picking up the dog excrement is difficult with some consistencies and the closing and knotting of the plastic bag is still the responsibility of the dog owner or the person collecting it.
  • the US-A-4,995,661 discloses a grasping tool for grasping animal feces.
  • the grabbing tool includes a set of multiple flexible struts arranged in a cone shape to catch the feces in a plastic bag.
  • the faeces are held in the struts by being drawn together by a band connecting the struts at their lower ends.
  • the struts extend downwardly from a fixed collar.
  • the collar is attached to a hollow shaft.
  • the second quill can be pulled up. This allows the ends of the struts to be drawn together.
  • a bag can be arranged inside the struts, which can be closed by contracting the struts contract around the faeces to be received, so that the faeces are hereby grasped within the bag by the gripping tool.
  • the device should have a structure that is as simple as possible.
  • the device for picking up excrement contains a handle with a fastening device for a bag-like receptacle to be fastened there and a multiplicity of elastic gripper claws branching off the handle, the gripper claws enclosing the space around the fastening device like a basket.
  • the device is characterized in that the device consists in one piece of an elastic, three-dimensionally printable material.
  • the basic idea of the device according to the invention is therefore to reproduce the manual pickup of the dog excrement by means of a mechanical device that is as simple as possible, with the dog excrement being picked up in the bag-like receptacle can be spent. Due to the one-piece, elastic, three-dimensionally printable material, the device can be manufactured decentrally, which means that new sales channels can be opened up.
  • the gripper claws each have a terminal gripper ball. These bring about a defined contact of the receiving container at the ends of the gripper claws and, in a certain sense, imitate the shape of the gripping fingers.
  • each gripper ball can have a ribbed surface.
  • the bag-like receptacle can get caught in the gripper balls.
  • the gripper claws are arranged horizontally evenly around the longitudinal axis of the handle. As a result, the excrement to be collected can be grasped from all sides.
  • the gripper claws are connected to one another via a gripper belt that runs all the way around.
  • the gripper band can in particular be designed to run around in a helical manner.
  • the gripper band causes the gripper claws to close and grip.
  • the fastening device is designed as a beak-like clamp.
  • the handle has a coupling piece for coupling a rod extension.
  • the user therefore does not have to bend down to pick up the excrement, but can do this comfortably from a standing position.
  • recessed grips and/or gripping hooks are arranged in the area of the handle. These make it easier to handle the handle.
  • an inner cavity of the handle and/or an extension rod that can be coupled onto the handle is designed as a bag dispenser for receiving an endless web of individual bags that can be separated from one another, with the individual bags being able to be pulled out into the interior space between the gripper claws and folded over to the outside via the gripper claws. This makes it possible to easily reload the device with a new bag-shaped receptacle.
  • the device serves as an aid for picking up excrement, for example dog excrement, in order to no longer come into direct manual contact with the dog excrement through the dog excrement collection plastic bag.
  • the focus here is on personal piety and hygiene for the people collecting.
  • the device is focused on collection on soft ground.
  • the function is also available on hard, rough surfaces, but due to abrasion / perforation of the plastic bag and the different consistency of the dog excrement, 100% function cannot be guaranteed.
  • the final closing and knotting of the plastic bag remains the task of the person collecting it.
  • the device contains a grip 1 with a fastening device 2 arranged on the grip.
  • the fastening device is used to fasten a bag-shaped receptacle, which has been omitted here for the sake of clarity. In this example, it is designed as a beak-like clamping device.
  • a large number of elastic gripper claws 3 branch off from the handle. Their shape is designed in such a way that they enclose the space around the fastening device 2 like a basket.
  • the gripper claws 3 are evenly distributed around the end of the handle.
  • the interior space enclosed by the gripper claws 3 is provided for receiving the bag-shaped receiving container.
  • the receiving container can be fastened in the fastening device 2 so that it is guided securely in the device.
  • Each of the gripper claws 3 has a terminal shape that is designed as a gripper ball 4 here.
  • the gripper balls 4 each have a ribbed surface 5 . This ensures that the bag-shaped receiving container is guided securely at the ends of the gripper claws 3, i.e. on the gripper balls 4, in particular when the device is rotated on the floor.
  • the gripper claws 3 are made of an elastic material, such as metal or plastic. If they expand, ie in particular if they bend outwards or inwards, the gripper claws automatically spring back into their rest position. This spring movement can optionally be supported by an encircling elastic gripper band 6 . For this shows 3 an exemplary embodiment.
  • the gripper tape 6 is looped around the outside of the gripper claws 3 . It consists of an elastically stretchable material, for example an elastic fabric or a rubber strip.
  • the gripper band causes an increase in force when the gripper claws 3 spring back from their deflections from the rest position and thus a reliable grasping of the picked-up excrement.
  • the grip 1 also has a coupling piece 7 .
  • a coupling piece 7 In the present case, it is a thickening with a hole into which a rod extension (not shown here) can be inserted and locked with the thickening. The entire device can thus be guided with the aid of a rod, which avoids the user having to bend down.
  • gripping hooks 8 are provided in the embodiment shown here.
  • the gripping hooks are used to put your fingers in and to better grip the device.
  • stiffening ring 9 that connects the gripper claws 3 all around.
  • the stiffening ring 9 defines a specific length of the gripper claws and thus ensures a certain rigidity of the overall arrangement.
  • Figure 3a shows an exemplary embodiment of the device with a helically revolving right-handed or left-handed gripper tape.
  • a right-handed, helically encircling gripper tape 6a is shown.
  • such a gripper band 6a causes the gripper claws 3 to contract radially if the device is rotated about the longitudinal axis in the positive direction of rotation and is thereby pressed onto the ground.
  • the gripper band 6a causes the gripper claws 3 to contract radially in left-handed rotation when the device is placed on the ground and rotated counterclockwise.
  • Such a design is particularly advantageous when using the device with the left hand.
  • the helically encircling gripper straps 6a are either additionally applied to the gripper claws 3 or they can also form a one-piece section of the device itself, which is produced, for example, as a result of a die-casting process together with the other components described here.
  • the user takes a bag-shaped receptacle 10, for example a known and customary plastic dog excrement bag. He sets this accordingly 4 at the bottom of the plastic bag in the fastening device 2 provided for this purpose, ie in particular the beak-shaped clamping device inside the dog excrement gripper.
  • the plastic bag is then slipped over the gripper claws 3 from the inside to the outside and turned inside out, so that its outside at least partially covers the gripper claws 3 .
  • the bag-shaped receptacle 10, i.e. the dog excrement plastic bag, should be relatively loose and not pulled over too tightly.
  • the user stands over an existing excrement 11, for example a dog poo lying around, and digs like a rake the excrement together, as in figure 5 shown.
  • the user picks up the dog poop with the device by turning the device, ie the dog excrement gripper, slightly horizontally and by simultaneously pressing it vertically and axially towards the ground.
  • the excrement 11 is collected in the interior of the gripper claws 3 under the receptacle 10 stretched there.
  • the absorption of excrement in a sufficiently solid form is more favorable than in liquid consistency. However, the latter would be just as unfavorable for the usual manual collection.
  • the excrement should be inside the dog waste collection plastic bag, as in 6 shown.
  • the ribbed gripper balls 4 at the end of the dog excrement gripper are used to hook the gripper ends, including the plastic bag and its contents, to the bag-like receptacle 10.
  • this entire arrangement can now be lifted off the ground together with the collected excrement.
  • the gripper claws 3 return elastically to their starting position and enclose the bag-shaped receptacle 10 with the excrement 11 located therein.
  • the excrement can now be picked up from the ground.
  • the sections slipped over the gripper claws 3 on the outside can be folded as shown in 7 shown, now to be stripped. They form an extended bag section 12.
  • the user can, as usual, knot or otherwise close the bag located in the clawed gripper directly at its extended bag section 12 and pull it out of the gripper and the beak-shaped receptacle, ie the fastening device 2 .
  • This step is in 8 implied.
  • the dog excrement collector remains clean and hygienically unpolluted.
  • the user can also increase the distance to collect the dog's feces. With the help of a rod extension, it is also possible for users who cannot easily reach the ground level to pick it up.
  • the shape of the dog poop grabber is modeled after a human hand.
  • the inner open side is used to collect the dog waste.
  • the closed side is used to connect the body elements and fulfills a support function and handle.
  • the gripper claws are arranged in a 360° circle on the horizontal axis.
  • the claws are oval shaped in the vertical axis from the center of the body, where the grip is located, towards the open side.
  • the individual claws are connected via a helically encircling gripper band 6a, which extends spirally from the open side to the center of the body in a clockwise direction for right-handed people and counter-clockwise for left-handed people.
  • the gripper claws end in small, circular balls, which are ribbed, for example, lengthwise. This is intended to cause the gripper ends and the plastic bag with its contents to get caught after the turning process. This is the actual completion of the process of collecting the dog feces into the plastic bag.
  • the entire body has a handle for handling. This can also be equipped with a rod extension. A tag for hanging on a dog leash or dog waste bag storage container or the like can also be attached there.
  • the use of the material can vary because, important even for the application, is the shape and the reversible elasticity with regard to the material composition.
  • the property of the form includes picking up/locking the dog excrement plastic bag, the opening to pick up the excrement and then by turning the gripper, the plastic bag and its contents are interlocked and held by the ribbed balls constructed at the end of the gripper fingers plastic bag with contents.
  • the person collecting the bag can thus easily pick up the filled plastic bag from the bottom and knot / close it as usual.
  • FIG 9 shows an embodiment with a bag dispenser 14 attached to an extension rod 13.
  • the extension rod 13 is inserted into the coupling piece 7, in particular inserted and expediently latched or locked in some other way.
  • the bag dispenser 14 is attached to the extension rod.
  • the connection between the extension rod and the bag dispenser is expediently detachable.
  • the bag dispenser 14 consists of a container 15 in which an endless tube 16 is accommodated in a packed, in particular a folded, state.
  • the endless tube has regularly spaced perforations 17 at which individual bags 18 can be separated. These can then be mounted in the excrement collection device in the manner described above and used as described.
  • FIG. 10 shows an embodiment with a bag dispenser 14 integrated into the extension rod and/or the grip 1.
  • the bag dispenser is located on the gripping body of the device; it can be attached or screwed on. It also serves as a handle.
  • a plastic bag roll in the form of a commercially available plastic bag roll can be used in the bag dispenser.
  • the respective plastic bag is pulled out from within the gripper body and then slipped over the gripper fingers. It remains attached to the other plastic bags in the bag dispenser until after the dog excrement has been picked up and the contents have been tied up / closed, only then is it separated.
  • the endless tube 16 is located here in an inner cavity of the handle 1 and/or the extension rod adjoining the handle.
  • the extension rod is not shown here, it connects above the handle and expands its cavity accordingly.
  • the cavity of the handle forms the bag dispenser 14.
  • the endless tube 16 with the mentioned perforations 17 is located here.
  • the perforations form a sequence of individual bags 18 on the endless web.
  • the respective individual bag 18 is an embodiment of the bag-shaped receptacle 10.
  • the endless tube is pulled outwards through the fastening device 2, with the individual bag 18 emerging being pulled out by the gripper claws 3 and being folded over the gripper claws 3.
  • the dimensions of the respective individual bags 18, i.e. the distances between the perforations 17 on the endless web 16 are expediently dimensioned such that when the individual bag 18 is folded over the gripper claws 3, a perforation 17 comes to lie approximately in the fastening device 2, but still inside the bag dispenser.
