Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a laundry care appliance with a pump device and an operating method of such a laundry care appliance.
  • laundry care substances such as different detergents or fabric softeners
  • Water is supplied to the dispensing bowl through the water connection of the laundry care appliance, with the laundry care substance being washed out of the dispensing bowl by the water supplied and fed to the tub.
  • the laundry care substance which is usually present as a powder, should then go into solution in the tub with the flushed amount of water.
  • This dissolving process takes place predominantly in the form of diffusion and therefore requires a certain period of time. This period of time can be shortened by setting the flushed-in water in motion, for example by rotating the drum in the tub, so that the dissolving process also takes place by convection.
  • this laundry care substance dissolving process can be prolonged, or the powdered laundry care substances are not completely dissolved.
  • undissolved laundry care substance in the tub can damage the laundry to be cared for and cause discoloration of the laundry, particularly if detergent residues come into contact with the laundry.
  • the patent specification DE 10 2016 201 446 B3 discloses a laundry care appliance with a pump control.
  • a washing machine in which an excessive consumption of laundry care substance is to be avoided.
  • the washing machine is set up to operate a pump briefly and at intervals during the washing process turn on to promote washing liquid with the laundry care substance in a pump-out hose, the washing liquid in the pump-out hose alternately rises and falls, whereby the laundry care substance is intended to dissolve.
  • the washing liquid is pumped out of the tub by means of a second pump, in particular a pump-around pump, and is fed back to the laundry through the pump-around line and through the inlet element.
  • a tub sump closure is generally dispensed with because there is no risk of detergent wastage, in which the detergent concentration in the washing liquid decreases, due to the presence of the pump-over system.
  • Undissolved, usually still powdery detergent which has already left the tub through the opening of the tub due to the force of gravity, without having taken part in the washing process, can be immediately returned to the tub and thus to the laundry by activating the circulation pump, with the detergent in particular being largely removed should already be in dissolved form in order to rule out discoloration damage to the laundry.
  • the used washing liquid is pumped out of the laundry care appliance through the pump-out line by means of the first pump, in particular a pump.
  • WO 2017/039549 A1 discloses a method for dissolving a detergent in a washing machine with a pump-around system.
  • a pump is switched on and off briefly and at intervals during the washing process in order to convey washing liquid with the detergent into a pump-over hose, the pump being stopped before the washing liquid has reached the highest point in the pump-over hose.
  • the object of the invention is achieved by a laundry care appliance, with a tub for holding washing liquid, the tub having a drain opening and an inlet element, in particular an inlet nozzle, a pumping device for pumping the washing liquid, a drain line which fluidically communicates with the drain opening connects the pump device, a pump-out line which fluidly connects the pump device to an exterior area of the laundry care appliance, a pump-around line which fluidly connects the pump device to the inlet element, the pump device having a first pump which is designed to pump washing liquid, in particular with a nominal pump capacity, pump out of the tub through the drain opening, through the drain line and through the drain line out of the laundry care appliance, with the pump device having a second pump which is designed to pump washing liquid, in particular with a nominal pump capacity, out of the tub through the drain opening and through the drain line to pump the pumping line and to supply the washing liquid from the pumping line and through the inlet element again to the tub, and a control for controlling the pumping device,
  • the controller is preferably designed in particular to activate the delivery mode of the first pump with the reduced pump capacity in the first period of time in order to pump or lift washing liquid up to the liquid level in the pump-out line, and the controller is designed in particular to to activate the delivery mode of the second pump with the reduced pumping capacity following the first time period in order to pump the washing liquid out of the pump-out line and to pump or lift the pumped washing liquid up to a liquid level in the pump-around line.
  • the first pump is switched off in particular when the second pump is activated.
  • the controller is designed in particular to activate delivery operation of the second pump with the reduced pump capacity in the first period of time in order to pump washing liquid up to the liquid level in the pump-around line, and the controller is designed in particular to do so in the period following the first period of time second period of time to activate the delivery mode of the first pump with the reduced pump capacity in order to pump the washing liquid out of the pump-around line and pump the washing liquid up to a liquid level in the to pump the pump-out line without a flow rate being established when the liquid level is reached.
  • the second pump is switched off in particular when the first pump is activated.
  • the technical advantage is achieved that the pumping or raising of the washing liquid by the respective pump in the first time period and the subsequent, particularly active, Returning the pumped washing liquid through the other pump effectively dissolves undissolved residues of laundry care substance in the washing liquid.
  • the advantageous dissolution of the laundry care substance is ensured by strong convection of the washing liquid and the laundry care substance, which occurs when the washing liquid actively flows through the pump device, the strong convection being caused in particular by the high flow speeds of the washing liquid at the respective pump impeller of the respective pump.
  • the solution process of the laundry care substance in the washing liquid is improved many times over by the convection and is therefore faster than in the convection-type solution processes known in the prior art or than if the solution process were to take place in a diffusion-type manner.
  • the laundry care substance is pre-dosed in the dispensing bowl by the user. Water is flushed into the flushing tray through the water connection of the laundry care appliance, and the mixture of laundry care substance and water is flushed through a filling line into the tub as washing liquid.
  • the detergent that is still in powder form usually settles on the floor and, due to diffusion, dissolves very slowly with the washing liquid. The process of dissolving the powdered laundry care substance is often improved somewhat by convection-like rotation of the washing drum.
  • the laundry care substance present in the washing liquid cannot be completely dissolved, in particular due to improper overdosing by the user, so that undissolved residues of the laundry care substance, eg powder Detergents that can remain in the washing liquid. Undissolved residues of laundry care substance in high concentrations on the laundry to be cared for can cause discoloration damage and should therefore be avoided.
  • the respective pump pumps the washing liquid into the pump-out line or into the pump-around line in the first period of time until the pumped washing liquid reaches a liquid level in the respective line, so that the delivery flow comes to a standstill and only a liquid column on the pressure side is built up.
  • the delivery interruption or delivery reduction carried out after the first period of time, or the sole build-up of the liquid column on the pressure side prevents the pumped washing liquid during the first period of time from being either supplied to the laundry from the circulation line through the inlet element or from being pumped out of the laundry care appliance through the pump-out line .
  • the first or second pump of the pumping system is operated at a reduced impeller speed, so that a liquid column on the pressure side is raised, but no continuous flow is built up.
  • the other of the pumps is activated in the second period, with the washing liquid being pumped out of the respective pump-out line or pump-around line and the pumped washing liquid being pumped up to a liquid level in the other of the pump-out line or the pump-around line.
  • a reduced impeller speed can be used for the pump drives, so that a flow rate builds up for a short time, which occurs as soon as the water column has reached the desired liquid level in the other pressure line on the pressure side.
  • the pumps convey the washing liquid back and forth between the pressure-side pump-out line (a first dewatering component) and the pressure-side recirculation line (another dewatering component), which leads to an advantageous dissolution of laundry care substance in the Washing liquid due to the corresponding convection, realized by the flow speed in the pressure-side drainage system components, comes, whereby in a subsequent pumping process the washing liquid can be fed to the laundry in the laundry drum without damage or discoloration of the laundry due to undissolved residues of laundry care substance can occur.
  • a first dewatering component a first dewatering component
  • the pressure-side recirculation line another dewatering component
  • This method is characterized in particular by the fact that after the first pump has been switched off, another pump is activated in order to pump the washing liquid flowing back from one of the pressure-side drainage systems into the other pressure-side drainage component in a controlled manner due to the switching off of the first pump.
  • this has the advantage that an uncontrolled backflow of the washing liquid into the tub can be avoided.
  • the liquid level in the pump-out line is in particular below the outlet opening. If, due to the user-specific installation conditions, the pump-out line has a section which runs above, ie at a geodetically higher potential, the outlet opening, the liquid level is in particular below the section of the pump-out line running above the outlet opening. Furthermore, the pump-out line can be designed in such a way that the pump-out line is divided into a pump-side line section and an outlet-side line section, the pump-side and outlet-side line section being connected to one another at an upper region of the laundry care appliance. Such an embodiment is also referred to as a "water mountain”.
  • the washing liquid is prevented from being pumped out if it is ensured that the liquid level in the pump-side line section of the pump-out line is in particular below the upper point of the pump-out line, in particular the connection point between the pump-side and outlet-side line sections.
  • Such an embodiment has the advantage that the outlet opening can also be below the liquid level.
  • the second liquid level is located in the circulation line, in particular below the inlet element. If the pump-around line has a section which runs above, ie at a geodetically higher potential, the inlet element, the liquid level is in particular below the section of the pump-around line running above the inlet element.
  • the detergent dissolution described here can be optimized because, on the one hand, increased flow velocities occur that promote convection for detergent dissolution.
  • pumping must be longer for the increased liquid level in the pressure lines of the hydraulic circulation system and the hydraulic drainage system to adjust, so that the relation between pumping time and dwell time in the oscillation reversal points at maximum oscillation amplitude at the liquid levels reached improves.
  • the pumping time is lengthened, whereas the dwell time in the reversal points remains the same, so that the time relationship increases.
  • the respective pump can only be activated for a short time, the activation period or the operating time being less than the nominal operating time of the respective pump for pumping around or pumping out the washing liquid in the normal or nominal operating case.
  • the activation time period can be predetermined as a function of the pump capacity of the respective pump for the first or further period of time.
  • the activation period can also be determined as a function of a measured pump output, or the respective pump is deactivated in the first or second time segment when it is determined that the respective liquid level has been reached.
  • a normal operating case of the pump is understood to be that state in which the washing liquid conveyed by the pump is fed back into the tub during pumping over or the washing liquid conveyed by the pump is discharged from the laundry care appliance in pumping out.
  • the reduced pump capacity of the respective pump can be greater than the return flow of the washing liquid caused by gravity in the be a pump-out line or pump-over line.
  • the reduced pump capacity of the respective pump is less than the nominal pump capacity of the respective pump for pumping around or pumping out the washing liquid in the normal or nominal operating case.
  • the reduced pump capacity of the respective pump is sufficient for the pump pressure exerted by the respective pump on the washing liquid and the countercurrent return flow caused by gravity on the washing liquid to be in equilibrium at the respective liquid level, so that the liquid column in the corresponding pressure line is at the corresponding desired level maximum liquid level can linger briefly.
  • the controller is designed to end the first time period and to activate the other of the pumps in the second time period when the washing liquid has reached the liquid level in the pump-around line or pump-out line, and/or the controller is designed in particular to end the second time period , when the pumped-out washing liquid has reached the liquid level of the respective other of the pump-over line or pump-out line.
  • the detergent is dissolved in time until all the washing substances are completely dissolved in the liquid phase of the washing liquid.
  • the torque-forming drive current or the phase winding current of the three-phase synchronous pump drive can also be evaluated. In the high-resolution flow of the current over time, it can be seen whether the medium is in two-phase or one-phase form. If the fluid is in two phases, i.e. the powdered detergent and the washing liquid have not yet dissolved, when the mixture is being conveyed, a different torque curve occurs over time than when the fluid is present in a single phase, because the solid phase, in particular the powdery detergent, has already dissolved in the washing liquid.

  • the first pump If the first pump is activated for the first time during the respective period of time with the reduced pump output, the first pump sucks in washing liquid from the drain line, the common suction chamber, the pump-out suction pipe and also from the inactive pressure line and pumps the sucked-in washing liquid from the pump-out pressure chamber up to the liquid level into the drain line.
