Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif (1) d'émission (6,7) et de réception (8,9) d'un rayonnement électromagnétique. Différentes antennes (3, 4, 5) sont utilisées pour l'émission et la réception et pour cela une première antenne (3) ou un premier groupe d'antennes (3) est utilisé pour l'émission sous une première forme de polarisation (6), une deuxième antenne (4) ou un deuxième groupe d'antennes (4) est utilisé pour l'émission sous une deuxième forme de polarisation (7), et une troisième antenne (5) ou un troisième groupe d'antennes (5) est utilisé pour recevoir le rayonnement électromagnétique réfléchi qui a été émis par la première antenne (3) ou le premier groupe d'antennes (3) et la deuxième antenne (4) ou le deuxième groupe d'antennes (4). Le dispositif (1) selon l'invention peut être avantageusement fixé à un véhicule automobile (23) et utilisé pour la détection d'objets (24) dans le contexte de la régulation de distance et de vitesse ou de l'évitement de collisions et, pendant la propagation des deux ondes électromagnétiques (6, 7) de polarisations différentes sur différentes voies de propagation (28, 29), les informations de polarisation obtenues à partir des différents niveaux de réception sont utilisées pour la détection d'état de route (29), en particulier pour déterminer l'état de route (29) dépendant des conditions météorologiques.
