Definitions

  • the invention relates to a method for operating a cooking appliance and a corresponding cooking appliance.
  • Household appliances for preparing food such as ovens, usually have a cooking chamber with several rack levels into which appropriate accessories, such as roasting grids, baking trays, grill pans, etc. can be inserted.
  • appropriate accessories such as roasting grids, baking trays, grill pans, etc.
  • the usual and manufacturer-specific information for the shelf level must be observed in order to achieve perfect cooking and/or browning results. If the wrong shelf levels are used, the food will generally be cooked poorly.
  • the shelf for the food to be cooked can be placed in the cooking chamber at different heights and the height can be detected by methods in which radar beams are directed onto the shelf and reflected by the shelf. In addition, depending on the detected reflected signals, it is possible to distinguish between a baking tray and a grid-shaped baking grate.
  • a cooking appliance with a height-adjustable food support is known.
  • a change in the position of the height of the food support is carried out depending on the cooking status of the food that has already been reached.
  • a spindle device is provided for height adjustment.
  • a device for operating a cooking oven which is designed with a pyrolysis cleaning function for pyrolytic cleaning of the oven muffle.
  • the device also comprises a signal generator which, when the presence is detected by the detection device at least one monitored pull-out device and/or push-in device for a food support and/or a food support generates optical and/or acoustic signals at an associated position of the oven muffle to inform the operator that the affected pull-out device and/or push-in device for a food support and/or or the food support has to be removed from the oven muffle and/or the pyrolytic cleaning function cannot be operated.
  • the DE 10 2007 005 484 A1 discloses a method and a food processing device, wherein a cleaning program is provided, which can be started automatically depending on the insertion of a food support element into the cooking space.
  • the KR 10-2006-0062221 discloses a microwave oven that informs the user about an unsuitable accessory in the cooking chamber.
  • a method for operating a cooking appliance has a cooking space in which at least one food support can be positioned in at least two different insertion levels.
  • a specific and thus preferred insertion level for the food support and/or a specific type of food support is specified.
  • This information is stored in particular in the cooking appliance as previously defined information.
  • this specifically selected preparation program is then used to determine whether, depending on the selected preparation program, the food support is arranged on the intended shelf level and/or whether the specified type of food support is used.
  • the preparation program is changed, in particular changed automatically if the food support is arranged on a shelf level that differs from the predefined shelf level provided for this preparation program and/or the type of food support differs from the type of food support that is preferably provided for this preparation program in advance.
  • the method according to the invention can thus ensure that even if the wrong rack level and/or a wrong type of food support is set or used for the selected preparation program, the preparation program is changed individually and adapted to the incorrectly used rack level and/or the type of food support .
  • the selected preparation program can be changed intelligently in such a way that the preparation can also be carried out on a shelf level that is not actually intended and is less suitable and/or with the non-preferred type of food support and a preparation result can be achieved which essentially corresponds to the corresponds if the specified shelf level and the specified food support type are used.
  • the preparation program is adapted to the suboptimal actual shelf levels and/or to the specific suboptimal type of food support.
  • At least one parameter value of the preparation program is preferably changed.
  • the preparation time and/or the distribution of the heating power to heating elements and/or the type of heating and/or the heating time can be changed.
  • the portions of the power originally intended for this preparation program can be changed for the radiators used for this purpose.
  • the heating technology can be changed, for example, if this is present in the cooking appliance, microwave energy is radiated in instead of conventional heating via a radiator. If the cooking appliance includes a number of different energy sources, they can be combined in order to achieve the preparation result in the same way as with an unchanged preparation program. For example, it can then be provided in an oven that the generation of the bottom heat and/or top heat is changed, adapted to the shelf level actually used, which is not the preferably provided shelf level for the preparation program.
  • a variation in this respect can also be possible with regard to the length of time such a change in the type of heating and/or the heating output and/or the heating duration takes place. It can also be provided that a different type of heating or combination of heating technology is set in the cooking appliance and a corresponding preparation is carried out.
  • the change in the preparation program in particular the change in the specific parameter values, is communicated to a user of the cooking appliance.
  • the user is therefore informed at all times that there will be certain changes in the preparation due to the selected and non-prioritized rack level and/or the selected and non-prioritized type of food support for this preparation program.
  • the actual change in the preparation program is only carried out if, after notification and information to the user, the user confirms the change and/or refrains from confirming it for a predefinable period of time.
  • Starting with the changed conditions of the Preparation program is thus preferably announced with a certain lead time and only then carried out. This leaves the user with the option of reacting by either correcting the shelf level and/or changing the type of food support.
  • the invention provides that the preparation program is started anyway, albeit with the wrong prerequisites, viz the incorrect shelf level and/or the incorrect type of food support is communicated to the user, in particular displayed on a display unit. This can be done, for example, by communicating by voice and/or text that the wrong shelf level has been selected, that the wrong type of food support has been selected, that too much bottom heat and/or too little top heat is generated and the like.
  • the identification of the type of food support based on its material, in particular its surface material, is particularly advantageous.
  • This configuration also makes it possible to identify whether suggested and predeterminable accessories are preferably used, and in particular whether original accessories are used. This can be particularly crucial with regard to achieving a desired preparation result. Precisely by recognizing the material configuration of the type of food support, the user can then be informed whether this type of food support is suitable for the selected preparation program or not. Since very specific types of food carriers are advantageous for specific food and individual preparation programs, this is a significant factor influencing the achievement of a desired preparation result. It is precisely when the food support is made of aluminum or enamelled that this can be recognized and the suitability of this material for the preparation of the specific food to be cooked can be inferred and this can be communicated to the user.
  • the cooking appliance is designed as standard with food supports, such as baking trays, grill pans, grill grates and the like, made of aluminum and the user uses a subsequently purchased enamelled food support element for a specific preparation program, this will be recognized.
  • a value of a heating parameter can be changed in this specific preparation program and/or the duration of the preparation program and/or the duration of a heating phase can be changed due to the different radiation properties of these different materials of the food carrier.
  • the detection of the shelf level and/or the type of food support is done by radiation detection.
  • a transmitter/receiver unit can be arranged in the cooking appliance, which comprises at least one sensor, preferably a plurality of sensors. These are designed in particular to emit radar beams. In principle, however, electromagnetic radiation can also be emitted in a different frequency spectrum in order to be able to determine the detection of the shelf level and/or the type of food support.
  • a pyrolysis function of the cooking appliance is mentioned as a function program, for example. If such a pyrolysis process is to be carried out, a check is carried out beforehand as to whether accessories, such as food carriers, are in the cooking chamber and whether they are capable of pyrolysis. This means that a check is made as to whether the objects that may be present in the cooking chamber could be damaged by the pyrolysis process. If such accessories and/or their unsuitability for the conditions in the function program are recognized, this will be communicated to the user.
  • the functional program is only started when the corresponding objects in the cooking compartment have been removed. If, on the other hand, objects are recognized in the cooking chamber that are suitable for the conditions that occur when the functional program is running, this functional program is started automatically.
  • the cooking appliance has a mechanical adjustment device that is controlled by a control unit. In particular, a continuous adjustment of the insertion height is possible.
  • the method according to the invention according to the first aspect at least reduces the risk of an unsatisfactory preparation result when using incorrect accessories and/or incorrectly set shelf levels.
  • assistance is provided for the user and/or automatic corrections are made.
  • the method provides that if the food support is arranged on a shelf level that differs from the intended shelf level and/or the type of food shelf that is different from the intended type of shelf is used, the user is informed and the shelf level to be preferably provided and/or the shelf to be preferably provided Gargutangotyp be proposed, and only then the preparation program is changed if, after a predetermined waiting time, a change in the shelf level and / or a change in the Gargutytyps is omitted by the user.
  • the function program can be, for example, pyrolysis for cleaning the cooking appliance.
  • the user is informed of the presence of unnecessary and/or unsuitable components for the functional program, and the functional program is only started when these components have been removed.
  • the invention according to the first aspect also relates to a cooking appliance which has a cooking chamber in which a food support can be positioned in at least two different rack levels, and which includes at least one preparation program.

  • the cooking appliance has an adjustment device for this purpose, which is controlled by a control device.
  • the shelf level is preferably changed in such a way that the selected preparation program can be carried out unchanged.
  • the preparation result is therefore essentially the same.
  • this change in the insertion level is only carried out if, after notification to the user, a predefinable waiting time has elapsed and/or the proposed change in the shelf level is confirmed by the user.

  • a specific, preferred rack level for the food support and/or a specific type of food support is specified for a preparation program.
  • the cooking appliance includes a detection and control device which is designed to recognize, depending on the selected preparation program, whether the food support actually used corresponds to the type of food support specified and preferred for this preparation program and/or whether the shelf level used corresponds to the intended, preferred shelf level is equivalent to.
  • the detection and control device is designed to control an adjustment device, by means of which the actual insertion level is changed, in particular automatically, if the shelf level actually used deviates from the specified shelf level and/or if the type of food support used differs from the preferably specified type of food support is changed.
  • a third aspect not according to the invention relates to a method for operating a cooking appliance which has a cooking chamber in which a food support can be positioned in at least two different rack levels.
  • a specific and preferred rack level for the food support and/or a specific type of food support is specified for a preparation program.
  • it is then detected whether, depending on the selected preparation program, the food support used is arranged on the shelf level provided for this purpose and/or whether the specified one Food carrier is used.

  • a preparation process can thus be improved in that the selected preparation program is not then carried out in a general manner, but instead a search is made for which preparation program would be better suited for the preparation.
  • the more suitable further preparation program is then automatically selected and, in particular, also carried out automatically.
  • the determined, better, further preparation program is initially communicated to the user. Depending on whether the user then agrees to this suggested further preparation program or does not respond to the message from the cooking appliance, the suggested further preparation program is then started automatically. If the user does not agree to this suggested better additional preparation program, it can be provided that he selects another additional preparation program or starts the primarily selected set preparation program, even if this is not the determined preferred additional preparation program.
  • the third aspect also relates to a cooking appliance which has a cooking chamber in which a food support can be positioned in at least two different rack levels and which includes at least one preparation program.
  • a specific, preferred rack level for the food support and/or a specific type of food support is specified for a preparation program.
  • a detection and control device of the cooking appliance detects whether, depending on the selected preparation program, the food support that has been introduced and used is arranged on the slot level provided for this purpose and/or the specified type of food support is used.

  • An aspect not according to the invention relates to a method for operating a cooking appliance, in which a food support is placed in a cooking chamber of the cooking appliance and the food support is recognized.
  • a food support made of an at least partially specific material is specified, and material recognition is used to determine whether the food support currently placed in the cooking chamber can be used in the selected preparation program.

  • the cooking appliance 1 also includes a detection and control unit 6 or 7 , which is only shown symbolically and is arranged in the upper area of the cooking chamber 3 .
  • the detection and control device 6, 7 can include one or more sensors which are designed to emit electromagnetic radiation.
  • the detection and control device 6, 7 thus also includes a transceiver unit for emitting electromagnetic radiation and for receiving or detecting correspondingly reflected radiation.
  • control elements 8 and 9 are shown on the front, which are only mentioned as examples with regard to position and number.
  • an output unit 10 is also arranged in the operating device of the cooking appliance 1 . This can be designed to display information in the form of text or the like and/or for voice output and voice input.
  • the cooking appliance 1 is designed in such a way that it can run a number of different preparation programs, which can be selected by a user using the operating elements 8 and/or 9, for example.
  • each preparation program is assigned a specific, preferred rack level I, II, III for the food support 5 .
  • a specific type of food support is specified for each specific preparation program. This possible combination of preferred shelf level and preferred type of food support for a preparation program is coordinated with a view to the best possible preparation result and is determined in tests in advance.
  • the findings resulting from this are then defined and stored as information in the cooking appliance 1 . This can be done in particular before the cooking appliance 1 is delivered to the customer. However, it can also be provided that corresponding improvements or new findings about it in subsequently installed programs or programs additionally transferred to the cooking appliance 1 are updated or supplemented.
  • a specific preparation program is then selected by a user in a subsequent operation, a food support 5 is inserted into one of the rack levels I-III and a type of food support that is specific in terms of shape and/or material composition and characterizes the food support 5 is used, then the detection and control device 6, 7 carried out a corresponding detection. If it is then recognized that the wrong shelf level and/or the wrong type of food support has been used, it can be provided that the preparation program selected by the user is automatically changed by the cooking appliance 1, for example by changing one or more parameter values characterizing the selected preparation program. In particular, the automatic change of the preparation program takes place depending on the rack level I-III actually used and/or depending on the type of food support actually used.
  • the type of food support type is preferably recognized as a function of its shape and/or its material composition.
  • the adjustment device 12 is preferably electrically connected to the detection and control device 6, 7 and is controlled by it. In particular, not only a discrete adjustment of the insertion height I-III can be achieved by such an adjustment device 12, but also a continuous height adjustment can be made possible.
  • the detection and control device 6, 7 is designed such that, in a preparation program selected by the user, it is detected whether additional components that are not required are present in the cooking chamber and should be removed beforehand. If such accessories that are not required are identified, the user is informed and, in particular, the selected preparation program, possibly with its changes, is only carried out and started when these other components have been removed from the cooking chamber 3 .
  • the cooking appliance 1 preferably also has at least one function program which is different from a preparation program and is not designed for the preparation of food.
  • a pyrolysis function is preferably provided as the function program. If such a pyrolysis process is desired and started by a user, a check is also performed here automatically before starting whether components are present in the cooking chamber 3 which should have been removed beforehand. This makes a lot of sense, especially if these components would affect the pyrolysis process or would be affected by the pyrolysis process itself.
  • Components to be removed in this way are preferably identified via the detection and control unit 6, 7.
  • a preparation program is defined and a specific, preferred insertion level I-III for the food support 5 and/or a specific type of food support is specified.
  • the detection and control unit 6, 7 detects whether, depending on the selected preparation program, the food support 5 is arranged on the slot level I-III provided for this purpose and/or the specified type of food support is used. If the rack level I-III actually used deviates from the specified rack level I-III and/or the type of food support used differs from the specified type of food support, the rack level I-III actually used is changed, in particular changed automatically. This is preferably done via the adjustment device 12.
  • the detection and control device 6, 7 also detects whether an original accessory in the form of an original cooking tray 5 is used for the cooking appliance 1 and/or the specifically selected preparation program or whether this is not the case. In particular, this is determined based on shape properties of the food support 5 and/or material properties of the food support 5 .
  • the food support 5 should not primarily be determined and recognized whether an original food support 5 or another original accessory is used in the cooking chamber 3, but rather whether the food support 5 is specifically suitable for the selected preparation program. This is preferably determined as a function of the material configuration of the food support 5 . In this case, it is preferably recognized whether the material configuration of the baking support 5 used is the material configuration preferably provided for the selected preparation program. If, for example, a food support 5 made of aluminum or a surface design containing at least aluminum is used and if a food support element with an enamelled surface is provided and suggested as the preferred option for the specifically selected preparation program, this is recognized and preferably communicated to the user. This can be done regardless of whether the food support 5 used is an original food support or not.
  • the stored and advantageous recommendation is that this loaf pan should be inserted in shelf level II, for example. If, as shown by way of example in the figure, the food support 5 with the box shape (not shown) is pushed into the insertion level III, this is recognized by the cooking appliance 1 and detected as a deviation from the optimal conditions.
  • a correction is then possible, with the electronic oven control the power ratio of the selected preparation program associated shares of the electrical power of the radiators used and / or the type of heating is adjusted according to the shelf level used. In this regard, less bottom heat and more top heat could then be generated in the example mentioned. It can also be provided that a different type of heating or a different combination of heating technology is then selected and started and the process adapted thereto is also carried out, for example with a possibly associated changed duration. In particular, a corresponding feedback is given to the user.
  • a correction i.e. a change in the oven control, adapted to the shelf level used and/or the type of food rack used is not possible and the display then provides the user with appropriate information that the wrong shelf level and/or the the wrong type of food support has been used. If the user changes the shelf level, this is also recognized by the cooking appliance 1 .
  • a corresponding feedback from the cooking appliance 1 is preferably sent to the user and the preparation program is carried out with the selected preparation program without any change in this regard and is started automatically.
  • the shelf level is not changed and an attempt is made to start the selected preparation program anyway.
  • feedback can then preferably be given to the user that a corresponding start was attempted but was aborted unsuccessfully because the incorrect conditions with regard to the shelf level and/or the type of food support are still present.
  • baking trays made of aluminum are provided as standard as the original food carrier, for example, and if a user uses an enamelled baking tray, for example, the cooking appliance 1 will recognize this.
  • the cooking appliance 1 automatically makes changes to the selected preparation program and, for example, corrects changed heating parameters, preparation times, etc. Due to the different radiation properties of the materials mentioned, they can be easily detected and recognized.
