Definitions
- the present invention relates to an opening roller housing of an opening device of an open-end rotor spinning device with a feed opening for feeding in the sliver, with a discharge opening for removing fibers from the opening roller housing, and with a dirt separation opening in the peripheral wall of the opening roller housing.
- a sliver is opened up into individual fibers by means of an opening roller device.
- the fibers are opened by an opening roller which, as a result of, for example, a toothed clothing on its circumference, opens the sliver presented to it into individual fibers by combing it out.
- This opening process takes place in an opening roller housing in which the opening roller is rotatably arranged and where the fiber sliver is fed to the opening roller with a feed device through a feed opening in the opening roller housing.
- a dirt separation opening after the feed opening.
- the dirt for example in the case of natural fibers such as cotton or in the case of cotton/chemical fiber mixtures, dust, neps, remains of husks or the like, is thrown out through this opening and thus leaves the fiber flow heading for the fiber guide channel.
- Such an opening roller housing is, for example, from GB 2 164 671A known.
- a discharge opening is arranged after the dirt separation opening, through which the separated fibers are guided out of the opening roller housing.
- the fibers then pass through a fiber guide channel into the spinning rotor, where they are spun.
- an opening roller housing which is provided with an insert designed as a lining.
- an opening roller housing is known in which the peripheral wall of the opening roller housing between the dirt separator and the discharge opening for fibers is formed by an exchangeable insert. This should allow the dirt separation to be adapted to different fibers.
- This opening roller housing has the disadvantage that although the size of the dirt separation can be varied, the known use is not suitable for making opening roller housings variable, so that they can be adapted to different fiber materials and other spinning conditions.
- the opening roller housings of the opening devices essentially consist of individual segments which are arranged on a carrier plate.
- the individual segments placed on the carrier plate thus form the peripheral wall of the opening roller housing.
- an insert extends into the area of the dirt separation opening and partially forms the peripheral wall of the opening roller housing in the area of the dirt separation opening.
- the disadvantage here is the complex structural design of the insert. It is also annoying that the outer contour of the insert is aligned with the inner surface of the peripheral wall of the opening roller housing, so that the annular gap between the opening roller and the insert cannot be changed in the radial direction.
- the present invention is based on the object of specifying an insert for an opening roller housing that is structurally simple and easy to assemble and disassemble, in particular to replace. Furthermore, the insert should be simple and inexpensive to produce. In addition, the exchange should allow adjustment to different spinning conditions.
- an opening roller housing for an opening device of an open-end rotor spinning device with a feed opening for feeding in a sliver, with a discharge opening for removing fibers from the opening roller housing and with a dirt separation opening in the peripheral wall of the opening roller housing.
- the opening roller housing includes a replaceable insert.
- the insert is designed as a hollow-cylindrical ring which has at least one wall area in the cylinder wall with an opening and a trough-shaped fiber inlet into the discharge opening and a wall area with an opening for adjusting the dirt separation opening. Furthermore, the insert adjusts the annular gap between the opening roller housing of an opening roller by the thickness of its cylinder wall.
- the opening roller housing according to the invention shows an efficient and simple way of enabling adjustment to different spinning conditions.
- the length and shape of the fiber inlet can be varied in the circumferential direction of the ring. Due to a trough-shaped fiber inlet, the inlet area can take place significantly before the fiber guide channel.
- the size of the opening of the insert for setting the dirt separation opening can also be varied.
- the annular gap between the opening roller and the insert can be varied by changing the ring. For this, inserts with different inner diameters of the inner cavity of the insert can be used.
- the optimal ring can be used for different fibers and applications.
- the rings allow a different fiber inlet area of the fiber duct.
- Another advantage is that the dirt separation opening can be more or less closed or opened.
- the annular gap between the opening roller and the ring can also be varied if necessary.
- the insert according to the invention is particularly suitable for selecting the appropriate fiber guide channel inlet area for an application by simply changing the ring and/or influencing the dirt separation area in such a way that the user can decide how cleared his yarn should be.
- the insert according to the invention is preferably designed in one piece. This enables simple manufacture and assembly.
- the insert forms the delimitation of the feed opening and/or the dirt separation opening on at least three sides.
- the insert forms the delimitation of the discharge opening.
- the insert is arranged coaxially to the opening roller.
- the insert is preferably arranged coaxially with the peripheral wall.
- the insert preferably has a circumferential step which forms a labyrinth seal with the cover.
- the insert protects the housing from wear.
- the insert is preferably protected against wear in order to ensure a long service life.
- the insert can also be easily and inexpensively replaced if it is worn out.
- an open-end rotor spinning device 1 is shown schematically. As is known, such open-end rotor spinning devices 1 each have a rotor housing 2 in which the spinning cup of a spinning rotor 3 rotates at high speed.
- the spinning rotor 3 is, for example Tangential belt 6, which is acted upon by a pressure roller 7, driven by friction.
- the rotor shaft 4 is axially fixed, for example, by a permanent magnetic axial bearing 18.
- the rotor housing 2, which is open towards the front, is closed during spinning by a pivotably mounted cover element 8, into which a channel plate is embedded, which is equipped with a circumferential center seal 9 on the Rotor housing 2 is present.
- the rotor housing 2 is also connected via a corresponding vacuum line 10 to a vacuum source 11 which generates the vacuum required for spinning in the rotor housing 2 .
- a channel plate adapter 12 is exchangeably arranged, which has the mouth area of a fiber guide channel 14 and a yarn withdrawal nozzle 13 to which a yarn withdrawal roller 15 is connected.
- a dissolving device 26 is integrated into the cover element 8 , which is mounted so as to be rotatable to a limited extent about a pivot axis 16 .
- cover element 8 has an opening roller housing 17 and rear bearing brackets 19, 20 for mounting an opening roller 21 and a feed roller 22, respectively.
- a cover of the opening roller housing 17 is denoted by 30 .
- the opening roller 21 is driven by a rotating, machine-long tangential belt 24, which acts on a whorl 23 of the opening roller 21, while the feed roller 22 is preferably driven by a machine-long drive shaft 25 or a worm gear (not shown).
- the opening roller housing 17 In the 2 a preferred embodiment of the opening roller housing 17 according to the invention is shown.
- the sliver, the opening roller 21 (see 1 ) and the isolated fibers have been omitted to clarify the invention.
- the opening roller housing 17 and the opening device 26 are shown in section and have a feed opening 27 for the fiber sliver to be opened, as well as a dirt separation opening 28 and a discharge opening 29 for discharging the combed and separated fibers through the fiber guide channel 14 adjoining the opening roller housing 17 to the spinning station (see Fig 1 ).
- the dirt separation opening 28 is delimited by the housing side wall and by the walls 31.1 and 31.2, which are part of the opening roller housing 17.
- the dirt separation opening 28 leads via a dirt removal channel 32 to a collection or removal system for the separated dirt particles, not shown here.
- the feed trough 34 is rotatably mounted about a pin 35 on the housing wall.
- the feed trough 34 is supported by a spring 36 and pressed against the feed roller 22 . If the condition of the sliver changes, for example its thickness, the feed trough 34 moves downwards.
- an opening roller 21 rotates in partial direction B about its axis, which is mounted in the opening roller housing 17 .
- the opening roller 21 carries an opening fitting (not shown) on its circumference, which in the present case has a sawtooth-like design.
- This opening assembly combs individual fibers from the supplied sliver. Due to the air flow prevailing in the opening roller housing 17, the individual fibers are carried along with the air flow and fed to the spinning unit through the fiber guide channel 14.
- the dirt separated from the stream of separated fibers generally has a greater mass than the fibers and is therefore thrown out of the dirt separation opening 28 essentially tangentially.
- an opening 38 for the passage of the shaft of the opening roller 21 can be seen in the chamber 37 of the opening roller housing 17, an opening 38 for the passage of the shaft of the opening roller 21 can be seen.
- the feed opening 27 for feeding in the sliver, the discharge opening 29 for removing fibers from the opening roller housing 17 and the dirt separation opening 28 are present.
- the insert 40 according to the invention is arranged in the chamber 37 of the opening roller housing 17 .
- the insert 40 is coaxial to the opening roller 21 (see 1 ) and to the peripheral wall 39 arranged.
- the insert 40 is secured by means of fasteners (not shown), e.g. B. screws or dowel pins, attached to the side wall of the opening roller housing 17 interchangeably.
- Bet 40 is after 2 and 3 designed as a hollow-cylindrical ring 41 with a cylinder wall 42 and an inner cavity 43 .
- the insert 40 has in the cylinder wall 42 a Wall area with a continuous first opening 44 and a fiber inlet 45 on.
- the length of the fiber inlet 45 extends over approximately one third of the circumference of the annular insert 40.
- the fiber inlet 45 is limited in the axial direction by areas of the cylinder wall 42 and in the circumferential direction at one end by the discharge opening 29.
- the other end of the fiber inlet 45 transitions into the cylinder wall 42 in a sliding manner in the circumferential direction, as a result of which a stepless fiber run is realized.
- the fiber inlet 45 is designed in the form of a trough with a base area and two side walls that are bent up.
- the insert 40 in the cylinder wall 42 has a wall area with a second opening 46 running through it.
- the second opening 46 is opposite the feed opening 27 and the dirt separation opening 28 and allows both the passage of dissolved fibers to the opening roller 21 and the passage of separated dirt from the annular gap into the dirt separation opening 28.
- the cylinder wall 42 forms the boundary of the second opening 46 three pages.
- the second opening 46 is open.
- the ring 41 has a circumferential step 47 which forms a labyrinth seal with the cover 30 of the opening roller housing 17 .

Description
The present invention relates to an opening roller housing of an opening device of an open-end rotor spinning device with a feed opening for feeding in the sliver, with a discharge opening for removing fibers from the opening roller housing, and with a dirt separation opening in the peripheral wall of the opening roller housing.
To prepare for the spinning of fibrous material into yarns, in open-end spinning devices, a sliver is opened up into individual fibers by means of an opening roller device. The fibers are opened by an opening roller which, as a result of, for example, a toothed clothing on its circumference, opens the sliver presented to it into individual fibers by combing it out. This opening process takes place in an opening roller housing in which the opening roller is rotatably arranged and where the fiber sliver is fed to the opening roller with a feed device through a feed opening in the opening roller housing.
Furthermore, viewed in the circumferential direction, a discharge opening is arranged after the dirt separation opening, through which the separated fibers are guided out of the opening roller housing. The fibers then pass through a fiber guide channel into the spinning rotor, where they are spun.

Proceeding from this, the present invention is based on the object of specifying an insert for an opening roller housing that is structurally simple and easy to assemble and disassemble, in particular to replace. Furthermore, the insert should be simple and inexpensive to produce. In addition, the exchange should allow adjustment to different spinning conditions.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by an opening roller housing having the features of
The features listed individually in the dependent formulated claims can be combined with one another in any technologically meaningful way and define further refinements of the invention. In addition, the features specified in the claims are specified and explained in more detail in the description, with further preferred exemplary embodiments of the invention being presented.
According to the invention, an opening roller housing for an opening device of an open-end rotor spinning device is proposed with a feed opening for feeding in a sliver, with a discharge opening for removing fibers from the opening roller housing and with a dirt separation opening in the peripheral wall of the opening roller housing. The opening roller housing includes a replaceable insert. The insert is designed as a hollow-cylindrical ring which has at least one wall area in the cylinder wall with an opening and a trough-shaped fiber inlet into the discharge opening and a wall area with an opening for adjusting the dirt separation opening. Furthermore, the insert adjusts the annular gap between the opening roller housing of an opening roller by the thickness of its cylinder wall.
The opening roller housing according to the invention shows an efficient and simple way of enabling adjustment to different spinning conditions.
By simply replacing the ring, the length and shape of the fiber inlet can be varied in the circumferential direction of the ring. Due to a trough-shaped fiber inlet, the inlet area can take place significantly before the fiber guide channel. By exchanging the ring, the size of the opening of the insert for setting the dirt separation opening can also be varied. According to the invention, the annular gap between the opening roller and the insert can be varied by changing the ring. For this, inserts with different inner diameters of the inner cavity of the insert can be used.
The optimal ring can be used for different fibers and applications. The rings allow a different fiber inlet area of the fiber duct. Another advantage is that the dirt separation opening can be more or less closed or opened. The annular gap between the opening roller and the ring can also be varied if necessary.
The insert according to the invention is particularly suitable for selecting the appropriate fiber guide channel inlet area for an application by simply changing the ring and/or influencing the dirt separation area in such a way that the user can decide how cleared his yarn should be.
The insert according to the invention is preferably designed in one piece. This enables simple manufacture and assembly.
According to an advantageous embodiment, the insert forms the delimitation of the feed opening and/or the dirt separation opening on at least three sides.
According to a further advantageous embodiment, the insert forms the delimitation of the discharge opening.
According to yet another embodiment of the invention, the insert is arranged coaxially to the opening roller. The insert is preferably arranged coaxially with the peripheral wall.
The insert preferably has a circumferential step which forms a labyrinth seal with the cover.
The insert protects the housing from wear. The insert is preferably protected against wear in order to ensure a long service life. However, the insert can also be easily and inexpensively replaced if it is worn out.
