Definitions
- the invention relates to a vacuum cleaner for cleaning and maintenance of floor surfaces with a housing and at least one wheel mounted on the housing for supporting the housing from the floor surface.
- vacuum cleaners are used to clean surfaces such as textile floor coverings and smooth floors.
- a floor nozzle of the vacuum cleaner is continuously pushed back and forth on a floor surface to collect dust.
- the vacuum cleaner In order to be able to simply move the vacuum cleaner over the floor surface when cleaning and maintaining the floor surfaces, it generally has wheels mounted on the housing. In order to easily overcome carpet edges, door strips and similar obstacles on the floor surface to be cleaned, the wheels of the vacuum cleaner should have the largest possible diameter.
- the DE 195 24 531 A1 and the GB 2 468 153 A disclose a vacuum cleaner with a housing and at least one wheel mounted on the housing for supporting the housing from the bottom surface, the wheel being mounted eccentrically on the housing, the wheel being rotatably mounted in a wheel guide which can be connected to the housing.
- the invention therefore presents the problem of specifying an improved vacuum cleaner.
- the installation space within the wheel should be available for other components of the vacuum cleaner.
- a vacuum cleaner with the features of claim 1. Because the wheel is mounted off-center on the housing, the installation space inside the wheel can be used for other components of the vacuum cleaner. By storing the wheel outside the axis of rotation, a compact vacuum cleaner with large wheels can be realized. This makes it very agile and agile Vacuum cleaner realizable.
- the space inside the wheel can be used for additional components, such as exhaust air filters, the inclusion of furniture, upholstery or crevice nozzles or for holding floor nozzles due to the off-center bearing.
- the floor surface can be covered by a textile floor covering such as a carpet or carpet or by a hard floor such as. B. a wooden parquet, laminate or a PVC flooring.
- the vacuum cleaner has a blower for generating a negative pressure, through which the floor nozzle guided over a floor surface to be cleaned picks up dust and dirt from the floor surface.
- the floor nozzle is moved back and forth in the machining direction by the user by means of pushing and pulling movements.
- the floor nozzle slides over the floor surface to be cleaned.
- the underside of the floor nozzle slides over the carpet, while the underside of smooth floors floats over these floor surfaces, possibly using spacer bristles.
- the user can, for example, handle a handle of the vacuum cleaner connected to the suction pipe.
- the suction mouth of the floor nozzle is elongated and runs essentially transversely to the processing direction.
- elongated means that the preferably substantially rectangular suction mouth has a greater length transverse to the machining direction than the width in the machining direction.
- the suction mouth is preferably between 20 and 30 cm long across the processing direction.
- the vacuum cleaner can also be designed as a self-driving vacuum cleaner, in particular a vacuum robot, so that the processing direction of the floor nozzle corresponds to the direction of travel of the self-driving vacuum cleaner.
- the vacuum cleaner wheels are motor-driven.
- a vacuum cleaner housing of the vacuum cleaner can have a dust receiving chamber in which the dust picked up via the floor nozzle can be collected, for example, in a dust bag.
- the wheel is designed as a ring wheel.
- the design of the wheel as a ring enables simple off-center storage and the use of the interior for other components. With the wheel in the form of a ring, the installation space in the ring opening can be used for purposes other than for wheel storage, since the ring can be stored very easily off-center.
- the ring gear has a rib L-shaped in cross section, which forms the running surface of the wheel. A stable, yet light ring gear can be formed over the L-shaped rib, one leg of the L-shaped rib forming the tread of the wheel on the wheel bearing.
- the L-shaped rib of the wheel can be reinforced by radially arranged webs in order to achieve a stable wheel.
- a ring gear would also be conceivable which has a T-shaped rib in cross section as the running surface of the wheel.
- the invention provides that the wheel is rotatably supported in a wheel guide which can be connected to the housing.
- a wheel guide which can be connected to the housing.
- the wheel can be mounted and mounted very easily and without great effort. Because the wheel is rotatably mounted in the wheel guide, this enables precise pre-assembly, so that the arrangement of the wheel guide on the housing is very simple.
- the wheel guide has a U-shaped cross section, the wheel being mounted on the web of the U-shaped cross section and the belts of the U-shaped cross section guiding the mounted wheel laterally.
- the wheel can be stored very easily in the wheel guide via the U-shaped cross section of the wheel guide.
- the wheel is supported on the web of the U-shaped cross-section. Lateral forces that act on the wheel are absorbed by the straps of the U-shaped cross-section, so that the wheel guide provides simple but stable mounting and guidance.
- One of the belts is cut free in an upper area in the operating position.
- the wheel is first inserted into the section of the wheel guide which has a U-shaped profile.
- the wheel is then inserted into the section of the wheel guide that is cut free.
- the wheel is fixed in the cut-out section of the wheel guide via a locking element.
- An advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that a latching element is provided in the upper area, which is designed to prevent the wheel from being released from the wheel guide. With this locking element it can be ensured that a wheel pressed into the U-shaped profile of the wheel guide via the locking element does not simply come loose again. Via the locking element in the upper area of the belt, the wheel can be simply pressed over the locking element after insertion into the U-shaped profile and thus locked onto the wheel guide.
- the wheel guide is designed to be connectable to the housing via a snap-in connection. With the connection of the wheel guide via a catch in the housing, the wheel and wheel guide can be easily mounted on the housing. For this purpose, the wheel guide is simply locked onto the housing with the wheel mounted on it.
- a preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the wheel guide has an opening through which, when the wheel guide is connected to the housing, a wheel receptacle provided on the housing passes through to receive the wheel guide.
- a wheel receptacle By inserting the wheel guide in the holder, it can easily be supported on the housing.
- the wheel receptacle simply passes through an opening formed in the wheel guide.
- the wheel receptacle has a U-shaped cross section, the U-shaped cross section supporting the wheel guide.
- the wheel guide can be easily and safely picked up and supported via the U-shaped cross-section of the wheel holder.
- a damping element is arranged between the wheel guide and the tread of the wheel.
- the damping element has a U-shaped cross section.
- the damping element is arranged in the wheel guide in such a way that the damping element encompasses the L-shaped rib of the ring gear from several sides.
- the damping element is made of an elastic material.
- the damping element is made of a felt, fleece or rubber material.
- the damping element is positively and / or non-positively connected to the wheel guide.
- the arrangement of the damping element between the wheel guide and the tread of the wheel reduces the running noise of the wheel in cleaning operation. Particularly when the vacuum cleaner is moved across a floor surface with the blower deactivated, the damping element prevents disturbing rolling noises in the wheel bearing.
- the ring gear is produced by a multi-component injection molding process.
- the base body encompasses the tread and the rib of the wheel element.
- the wheel base body further comprises a rolling surface support element.
- the first material is a dimensionally stable plastic with good sliding properties, such as ABS or polyamide.
- At the second material is a flexible plastic, such as TPU or TPC.
