Definitions

  • the invention relates to a shower partition with at least one shower door having a planar or curved pane, which is pivotable in order to at least partially close or open an entrance opening and which is supported by a support rod which is fastened to the floor at one end a floor to rest on the edge of a shower tray or the like, and is equipped at the other end with a wall mounting device or a ceiling mounting device.
  • a simple shower room or a simple shower can be realized, for example, in that a floor with a square or rectangular shape in plan view is formed on the three edges of this shape by a brick wall and then represents a kind of shower niche. Such a shower room is then only open on one side which forms the entrance opening for the shower room or the shower niche.
  • This entrance opening can be closed, for example, by a curtain or a shower partition, so that as little spray water as possible penetrates to the outside.
  • Such a shower partition can be implemented, for example, in that a shower door is attached in the entrance opening, which is pivotable in order to close this entrance opening or also to open it again.
  • a shower door is attached in the entrance opening, which is pivotable in order to close this entrance opening or also to open it again.
  • fixed partitions can also be installed.
  • This swiveling shower door is often hinged to one of the brick side walls with the help of hinges. It is also possible to realize the side edge of the shower door opposite the side wall in the form of a profile which is attached to the bricked side wall.
  • the shower doors had a frame which surrounded a pane or a flat door element.
  • This door element consisted either of a plastic material or of glass.
  • the shower door can be formed by a pure pane of glass or another material.
  • showers are often also implemented in a corner of a brick room. If this is a shower with a square or rectangular shape when viewed from above, then the two "missing" side walls are formed by separating elements which comprise a pivoting shower door. It is also possible to design both dividing elements as shower doors, so that entry into the interior of the shower can take place via the corner.
  • shower partitions of the type in question here can be placed on the floor as such or on the upper side edge or the upper side edges of a shower tray or a bathtub.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a shower partition that is equipped with a pivoting shower door, the side edge of which, in the open state (entrance opening is released), of which the side edge pointing to a side wall or the like is spaced apart from the side wall, while the shower door is in the closed state (entrance opening closed) the side wall or the like is arranged as close as possible to ensure effective splash protection.
  • a further object of the present invention is to provide a shower partition, the at least one pivoting shower door of which is attached to the floor or a shower tray and a side wall or ceiling at only a few points as possible.
  • a shower partition according to claim 1 which among other things has the features that the holding rod has at least two spaced transverse bars, each of which is pivotably mounted on this holding rod by means of a linkage around the longitudinal axis of the holding rod and by means of a suspension on the pane the shower door are attached at a distance from a side edge of the pane.
  • the holding rod of the shower partition according to the invention is thus attached at one end to a floor or an upper side edge of a shower tray or shower tray or the like.
  • the other fastening point for the handrail is at the other end and, when installed, at the top.
  • This top end is attached to either a wall or a ceiling.
  • the attachment to a wall can be done by means of a transverse spar, while the attachment to a ceiling can be carried out with a longitudinal spar, which extends the support rod.
  • the holding rod is provided with at least two spaced-apart transverse bars, which are expediently arranged in the upper and in the lower region of the holding rod.
  • These crossbars are mounted on the holding rod by means of a linkage in such a way that they can be pivoted about the longitudinal axis of the holding rod. One end of these crossbars is thus attached to the support rod.
  • This crossbar is used to suspend and thus hold the pivoting shower door.
  • the attachment point of these crossbars is not a side edge or a side edge of the shower door, but at a distance therefrom on the pane of the shower door.
  • the distance between the transverse bars and the side edge of the shower door is expediently the same.
  • Such a shower door can be a shower door having a frame or a shower door that is only constructed from this pane.
  • the transverse bars extend perpendicularly from the plane formed by the disk.
  • This disk can also be a flat disk or a curved disk.
  • the latter panes are used in so-called "round showers".
  • the transverse spar is arranged perpendicular to the plane formed in the area of the fastening point on the pane.
  • the pivot axis of such a shower door is thus laterally spaced from the associated side wall. Furthermore, the pivot axis is also spaced from the plane formed by the disk and expediently runs approximately parallel to this plane. If the shower door closes the entrance opening, then that area of the shower door which is arranged between the transverse bars and the side wall closes the area between the holding rod and the side wall.
  • the holding rod can have more than two of the named transverse bars, for example one in the lower area, one in the middle area and one in the upper area.
  • the articulation of the cross bar on the holding rod preferably comprises a lifting-lowering mechanism so that the shower door is raised when the entrance opening is released and thus when it is pivoted open, while the shower door is lowered when the entrance opening is closed and thus when it is pivoted shut.
  • the holding rod of the shower partition according to the invention is provided at one or at the upper end with a wall holding device or a ceiling holding device.
  • the wall holding device is used to attach the holding rod to a side wall or the like, while the ceiling holding device is used to attach the holding rod to a ceiling.
  • the wall holding device and also the ceiling holding device are expediently provided with a compensation so that the distance to the wall or to the ceiling can be adjusted to the desired dimension.
  • the floor attachment of the holding rod which is expediently rigid or represents a rigid tube, is preferably designed in the form of a ball joint.
  • the floor fastening is equipped with a joint socket with a base plate which is suitable for resting on a floor or the like.
  • the joint socket takes on a joint head which is equipped with a pin.
  • the joint head can be fixed in the joint socket by means of a retaining ring.
  • the retaining ring has a central through hole through which the pin extends.
  • the inside diameter of the bore is larger than the outside diameter of the pin.
  • the floor attachment is attached to the support rod by means of the pin.
  • an inclination compensation can be achieved, for example in the event that the floor fastening rests on a non-level tile or the like.
  • the shower partition according to the invention has two holding rods which are each connected to a shower door.
  • the two shower doors can then jointly lock the entrance door.
  • This embodiment is expediently shower partitions for a corner entry or a round shower, which will be discussed in more detail below.
  • the holding rod or the holding rods are located outside the interior of the shower that is delimited by the shower partition.
  • the crossbars of the handrails attack the shower door glass from the outside.
  • the wall bracket device In the case of a wall bracket, it must be ensured that the wall bracket device is arranged above the upper horizontal side edge of the shower door or pane, so that the shower door can be pivoted through below the wall bracket device.
  • the holding rod thus expediently protrudes beyond the upper side edge of the shower door.
  • a perspective view of a shower partition 1 from the shower interior or from the interior of a shower niche is shown.
  • the shower partition 1 stands on a floor 7; more details are explained later.
  • the bottom 7 has an approximately square shape when viewed from above. This square is delimited by a side wall 8 on three side edges. In the Fig. 1 only one of these side walls 8 is shown, the other two are omitted.
  • Such a shower niche can be formed by brick and tiled walls or the like.
  • the shower partition 1 has a shower door 2 and a pane of glass 3.
  • This pane of glass 3 is not set in a frame or the like.
  • the glass pane 3 basically represents the shower door 2.
  • the shower door 2 or the glass pane 3 is held at a distance from a vertical side edge 12 of the glass pane 3 by a holding rod 4.
  • the shower door 2 closes the entrance opening of the shower niche described above and is pivotable in order to close this entrance opening or to release it.
  • Fig. 1 is the shower door 2 in the closed resp.
  • the shower door 2 forms the shower interior.
  • a holding rod 4 is used to hold the shower door 2 or the glass pane 3.
  • the glass pane 3 also denotes the shower door 2, since the latter is essentially constructed from this glass pane.
  • the holding rod 4 is placed on the floor 7 with the aid of a floor fastening 5.
  • a wall holding device 6 for fastening the shower door 2 to the side wall 8 is arranged.
  • the holding rod 4 is a rigid pipe which is thus attached and fastened at its upper and lower ends in a shower niche or at another location.
  • transverse spar 9 In the upper area of the holding rod 4 there is a transverse spar 9, while in the lower area of the holding rod 4 there is a further transverse spar 9 '.
  • Both transverse bars 9, 9 ' are attached to the holding rod 4 by means of a linkage 10, specifically in such a way that they can rotate about the longitudinal axis of the holding rod 4, compare in particular Fig. 2 what views of details of the in the Fig. 1 show the shower enclosure shown.
  • the articulation 10 represents a tubular sleeve 14 through which the holding rod 4 extends.
  • the tubular sleeve 14 has an inside diameter in this area which corresponds approximately to the outside diameter of the holding rod 4 in this area.
  • the outer diameter of the holding rod 4 below and above this area is larger, so that the tubular sleeve 14 cannot be displaced in the axial direction, but can rotate around the holding rod 4.
  • a suspension (in the present case a glass suspension) 11 is arranged at the free end of the transverse bars 9, 9'.
  • This suspension 11 is of a known nature and engages through a bore in the glass pane 3 or into this bore.
  • the suspension 11 has a raising-lowering mechanism so that the glass pane 3 is raised when pivoting to open and is lowered when pivoting to close.
  • Such mechanisms are known and therefore do not require any further explanation.
  • the transverse bars 9, 9 ′ have the same axial length and extend perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 13 of the holding rod 4.
  • the two longer sides of this rectangle represent the side edges of the glass pane, while the shorter side edges represent the upper and lower side edges of the glass pane 3.
  • the longitudinal axis 13 extends therefrom parallel and laterally spaced apart from that plane which is formed by the glass pane 3.
  • the longitudinal axis 13 extends parallel at a distance from the side edge 12.
  • the wall holding device 6 and the floor fastening 5 are expediently arranged in a shower niche or in a shower in such a way that the holding rod 4 extends parallel to and spaced apart from the wall 8.
  • This distance is expediently chosen such that the side edge 12 of the glass pane 3 comes as close as possible to the surface of the wall or wall 8 in the closed state.
  • the side edge 12 moves away from the side wall 8, so that the entire area between the floor 7 and the wall holding device 6 is "exposed" and can be easily cleaned, for example.
  • a spray seal is achieved through the glass pane 3.
  • the wall holding device 6 extends at the upper end of the holding rod 4 approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 13, compare in particular Fig. 2 .
  • the wall holding device 6 is equipped with a rod element 15 with a rectangular cross section, one end of which is rounded and rests on top of the holding rod 4 and is fastened there.
  • the other end 16 of the rod element 15 has a cavity (not shown) into which a connecting piece 17 with a rectangular cross section of a fastening element 18 can be inserted.
  • the other end of the nozzle 17 is used for insertion into a borehole or the like.
  • the connecting piece 17 has two elongated holes 19 and a threaded hole 20 arranged between them.
  • the securing plate 22 has a continuous elongated hole 24 between the two threaded bores 23, through which a threaded screw 25 extends into the threaded bore 20 and engages there.
  • the end 16 of the rod element 15 can be displaced in the longitudinal direction with respect to the connecting piece 17, the extent of the displacement depending on the length of the elongated holes.
  • the desired position from the end 16 of the rod element 15 to the socket 17 can then be fixed by means of the threaded screw 25.
  • the distance between the upper end of the holding rod 4 and a brick wall or the like can be adjusted and fixed.
  • a floor attachment 5 is arranged at the lower end of the holding rod 4, which has a plate-like base plate 26 which is suitable for being placed on the upper edge of a shower tray or on the floor itself.
  • the side of the base plate 26 facing the floor is expediently flat.
  • a joint socket 27 is formed, which is produced in one piece with the base plate 26.
  • the joint socket 27 has a radially circumferential ring 28 which, at its radially outer edge facing away from the base plate 26, merges into a circumferential edge 29 extending in the axial direction.
  • the ring 28 delimits a recess 30 with a substantially truncated cone-shaped cross section.
  • This recess 30 serves to receive a joint head 31, the free end 32 of which also has an essentially frustoconical cross section.
