Description

The invention relates to a joint strip for a joint which is formed between a component, in particular a window or door frame, and an adjacent plaster, with a contact section for attaching the joint strip to the component, a plaster receiving section for connecting to the plaster and a compensation section for Compensating for changes in size of the joint, wherein the compensation section comprises a bellows having two folded side walls according to the preamble of claim 1.

A generic joint bar goes from the DE 20 2004 012 859 U 1 or the EP 1 627 982 B1 out. Such a joint strip with an accordion-like bellows can compensate particularly well for dimensional fluctuations of a joint to be covered between a component and an adjacent plaster. Such changes in size can occur, for example, after plastering due to shrinkage of the plaster when it sets or also in the installed state due to weather-related temperature fluctuations inside or outside a building.

In the DE 196 14 109 C1 describes a reveal connection profile for window and door openings. The profile has a plaster receiving part and a movement receiving part with arcuate webs made of elastically bendable material.

AT 00 68 19 U1 teaches a soffit bead having an outer leg and a sealing leg connected together by a single flexible tab.

Eckbereiche des Kompensationsabschnitts sind aus einem weicheren Kunststoffmaterial gebildet als gerade Stegbereiche.the DE 20 2005 020 164 U1 discloses a movement compensation profile with a compensation section formed approximately in the shape of a double cone. Corner areas of the compensation section are formed from a softer plastic material than straight web areas.

The invention is based on the object of specifying a joint strip with which relatively large dimensional fluctuations of a joint to be covered can be compensated for while still having a simple and compact design.

The object is achieved according to the invention by a joint strip with the features of claim 1. Preferred embodiments of the invention are given in the dependent claims.

A basic idea of the invention consists in departing from the previously accordion-like bellows with linear fold edges and instead providing arcuate or curved fold edges. In contrast to linear fold edges, which are formed by fold walls converging at acute angles, arcuate fold edges offer the possibility of pulling these apart to a greater length with less stress on the folds. As a result, a larger difference between a minimum height of the bellows in a compressed state and a maximum height in an expanded state is achieved with a still compact construction space of the bellows. Thus, the joint strip according to the invention with such a bellows can compensate for larger dimensional fluctuations in a joint to be covered.

According to the invention, the fold edges are designed as approximately semicircular arcs. Such semi-circular arches can be pulled apart in an almost stretched manner in the edge or arch area without too much material stress on the plastic material. This ensures high fatigue strength under dynamic loading of the bellows over a long period of time. With regard to the design of the arc shape at the fold edges, it is inventive that the arcuate fold edges have an inner radius of between 0.1 mm and 2 mm and an outer radius of 0.5 mm to 6 mm. The wall thickness of the folded side walls can be between about 0.3 mm and a few millimeters.

According to the invention, a particularly good compensation with a simultaneously very good insulation property for closing the covered joint is achieved in that the bellows is formed by two opposing folded side walls which enclose an inner chamber cavity. The bellows with the two side walls spaced apart from one another can have a width in a compressed state or in an expanded state which does not exceed a width of the adjoining contact section or the adjoining plaster receiving section.

A further improvement in the ability to compensate is achieved according to a further embodiment of the joint strip according to the invention in that at least one folded side wall has at least one transition section, with which the side wall is attached to the plaster section or the contact section, and that the transition section is arcuate, in particular approximately quadrant arc-shaped . In particular, each folded side wall transitions at the two transition sections to the plaster receiving section or to the contact section with such an arc shape.

Furthermore, according to one embodiment variant of the invention, it is preferred that the transition section meets a web surface of the plaster section or of the contact section essentially at right angles, with the web surface being essentially parallel to the component. A particularly good longitudinal stretching of the bellows in the expanded state can thus be achieved transversely to the longitudinal axis of the component and the receiving section or the contact section.

Furthermore, a particularly compact design can be achieved according to a development of the invention in that the at least one folded side wall has inner fold edges and outer fold edges in a folded state, which are spaced apart, and that in the folded state the at least one transition section between the inner fold edges and the outer fold edges. This means that the transition sections are offset to the inner and outer pleat edges. Thus, in a compressed state, the transition sections are not directly above or below the inner fold edges and the outer fold edges. As a result, a lower maximum height of the joint strip can be achieved when the bellows is in a compressed state.

A further improvement can be achieved according to one embodiment variant of the invention in that the at least one folded side wall has a plastic material which is softer than a plastic material of the plaster receiving section or the contact section. The folded side wall can preferably be formed from a soft PVC, while the plaster receiving section or the contact section is formed from a hard PVC. Other suitable types of plastic such as PA, PE or PU etc. can also be used.

A further preferred embodiment of the invention consists in that an adhesive strip, in particular with a foam material, is provided for attachment to the component on the contact section. The adhesive strip can in particular be provided with a foamed sealing material, preferably a PE foam. The adhesive strip can be designed as a strip material which is attached to the contact section of the joint strip. In this case, an adhesive surface is provided for attachment to the component, it being possible for the adhesive surface to be protected by a covering film. This can be pulled off the adhesive strip immediately before applying and sticking it on.

For a good connection of the plaster receiving part with the adjoining plaster, it is preferred according to a further embodiment that a fabric, a scrim, a net, a knitted fabric or the like is provided on the plaster receiving part for connection to the plaster.

Furthermore, it can be advantageous that at least one pull-off edge is formed on the plaster receiving part. Two or more pull-off edges can preferably also be provided for a pull-off tool. With the squeegee tool, the applied plaster can be squeegeed along the squeegee edge to form an even plaster surface.

To protect the bellows and the component during plastering, it is advantageous according to a further embodiment of the joint strip according to the invention that a detachable fastening web for a covering film is arranged on the plaster receiving part.

The fastening web can also be referred to as a protective tab, which can be separated and detached from the plaster receiving section after the plastering work has been completed.

In the illustrated embodiment of the profile-like joint strip 10, the folded side walls 44 have a simple shape, each with a simple folded edge 46 on, which is arcuate. The folded side walls 44 enclose an inner chamber cavity 45 which is closed off at its top by a plate-shaped strip 31 of a plaster receiving section 30 . For this purpose, the side walls 44 are each attached on their lower and upper section with a quarter-circle transition section 48 with the first web surface 22 of the lower contact section 20 or an upper second web surface 32 on an underside of the plate-shaped strip 31 of the plaster receiving section 30.

The plaster receiving section 30 has two vertical webs 33 on an upper side of the plate-shaped strip 31, between which a fabric 34 is arranged by means of a strip-shaped fastening element 38 for better attachment of the plaster. The fastener 38 is in the illustrated embodiment 1 fastened in a particularly preferred manner to the plaster receiving section 30 in a non-positive and positive manner by means of corresponding projecting lugs on the vertical webs 33 . The fastening element 38 can be extruded on or preferably clipped on.

On a front side of the plaster receiving section 30 there is a step-like shoulder for forming a first pull-off edge 35 and a second pull-off edge 36 which are designed for pulling off an applied plaster. Projections and recesses can be formed on the upper side of the corresponding area of the plaster receiving section 30 in order to enable a good connection with the adjacent plaster.

The joint strip 10 can preferably be produced in one piece with the contact section 20, the plaster receiving section 30 and the compensation section 40 in a coextrusion process. Compensation section 40 with folded side walls 44 is preferably formed from a different, preferably softer, base material than contact section 20 and plaster receiving section 30.

The invention is further described below with reference to the Figures 2 to 6 explained with reference to a second embodiment of a joint strip 10 according to the invention. The joint strip 10 according to 2 is basically like the first joint strip 10 according to 1 constructed, so that for the basic structure on the above explanations is referenced. In contrast to the first joint strip 10 according to 1 a fastening web 50, also known as a protective tab, is releasably fastened to the front side of the plaster receiving section 30 via a thin spot 52. An adhesive surface 54 is provided on an upper side of the fastening web 50, with which a protective film can be attached to protect the joint strip and the component during plastering. After the plastering work, the protective film can be detached with the fastening bar 50 at the thin point 52.

Dies erlaubt ein stärkeres Zusammenpressen des Kompensationsabschnitts 40.Furthermore, to clarify the functioning of the compensation section 40 designed according to the invention, this is shown in the second embodiment of the joint strip 10 according to the invention 2 the compensation section 40 is formed with multiply folded side walls 44 . Each folded side wall 44 has two inwardly directed inner fold edges 46a and an outwardly directed outer fold edge 46b. In this normal state, the arcuate areas of the fold edge 46 are arranged in such a way that the transition sections 48, with which the side wall 44 is connected to the contact section 20 and the cleaning receiving section 30, are each arranged between the inner fold edges 46a and the outer fold edge 46b. 2 shows the joint strip 10 in a relaxed, unloaded normal state. According to 3 the joint strip 10 is shown in a maximally compressed state, with the contact section 20 and the plaster receiving section 30 having a minimum distance d from one another. In this compressed state, the advantage of the offset fold becomes evident, with the inner arcuate fold edges 46a and the arcuate outer fold edges 46b being arranged relative to one another such that the transition sections 48 are offset relative to the fold edges 46a and 46b. This allows the compensation section 40 to be compressed more strongly.

4 shows the joint bar 10 according to the figures 2 and 3 in a maximally extended state, the contact section 20 having a maximum distance D from the cleaning receiving section 30 . In particular is 4 it can be seen that due to the arcuate designs of the inner fold edges 46a and the outer fold edge 46b and the quadrant arcuate configuration of the transition section 48, the folded wall 44 is almost completely stretched can. This configuration according to the invention enables the joint strip 10 to compensate for particularly large dimensional fluctuations in the joint to be covered, with the maximum ability to compensate being given by the difference between the maximum distance D and the minimum distance d.

From the Figures 5 and 6 it can be seen that due to the excellent ability to unfold the bellows 42 of a joint strip 10 according to the invention, there is not only a great ability to compensate in the vertical direction in relation to a component surface, but also in the event of a lateral displacement of the contact section 20 to the plaster receiving section 30 Figures 5 and 6 in each case an opposite offset with a maximum extension of the compensation section 50. In each case, a maximum offset B1 in one direction according to FIG figure 5 and a maximum displacement B2 in the opposite direction according to FIG 6 achieved.

A third embodiment of a joint strip 10 according to the invention is in 7 shown, with the joint bar 10 according to 7 from the joint bar according to 2 only by the number of fold edges 45 of the side walls 44 of the bellows of the compensation section 40 differs. In the third embodiment of the joint strip 10 according to the invention, three inner fold edges 46a and two outer fold edges 46b are arranged on each folded side wall 44 .
