<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

<Desc/Clms Page number 5>

The invention relates to a soffit connection profile for components adjacent to plaster, in particular for window or door frames, with a sealing leg which has fastening means, preferably a sealing tape, on the component side and is connected to an outer leg, the outer leg being essentially perpendicular to it angled plaster.
DE 297 07 804 U1 discloses a soffit connection profile for plaster or spatula connections to adjacent components, for example to the frames of windows or
Doors known, the sealing leg of the adjacent component is sealed only by protruding sealing lips. In the absence of a firm connection between the fastening leg and the adjacent component, it cannot be prevented that dirt and moisture penetrate between the sealing leg and the component, particularly after a long period of inactivity, and that there is no permanent water and windproofness between the component and the facade is.
Furthermore, DE 42 29 080 A1 discloses a soffit connection profile for plaster connections on a window frame, the sealing leg of which is glued to the window frame by means of a self-adhesive sealing compound. The connection profile according to DE 42 29 080 A1 has a strip-shaped protective flap on the side facing away from the house wall, which is supported on the window frame by means of a spacer and can be separated from the reveal connection profile along a predetermined breaking point. The protective flap is used to fasten a film with which the window sash can be covered during the plastering work. After plastering, the protective flap can be separated along the predetermined breaking point, after which the sealing compound becomes visible and is exposed to the weather.
DE 200 11 013 Ul describes a soffit connection profile which is connected to a component with a self-adhesive sealing tape. In order to protect the sealing tape against the effects of the weather, an elastic sealing lip is provided in front, which, in the area of a predetermined breaking point for a film fastening leg, is pressed obliquely forward onto the adjacent component, for example the support strip for a roller shutter.
Sealing tapes or self-adhesive sealing compounds with which soffit connection profiles are attached to the window or door frame have the disadvantage that relative movements between the adjacent built-in part and the facade can only be absorbed to a very limited extent. The elasticity of the sealing tape is usually around 25% of the sealing
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
tape strength. A sealing tape with a 4 mm thickness can e.g. Movements of the
Only take up the facade away from the window or door frame by about 1 mm. To compensate for larger relative movements, partially expanding sealing tapes or profiles with expanding sealing tapes (e.g.
Company ILLBRUCK, D-51381 Leverkusen) used, but these are optically unsightly due to the thickness of the sealing tape, as well as being relatively expensive and complicated to install.
In this context, WO 97/30245 A1 describes a plastering strip for
Window frames, door frames or the like have become known at the transition to plaster, which consists of a U-shaped base area, which by means of a
Adhesive tape can be attached to the window frame. A likewise substantially U-shaped front area can be plugged onto the base area of the plastering strip, a plug connection in the manner of a telescopic pair permitting a relative movement between the base area and the front area. Although movements of the window frame, for example caused by wind pressure, can be compensated for by this, the projections of the base area protruding into the receiving areas of the front area do not provide a tight connection between the built-in part and the facade. Furthermore, the two-part profile is relatively complex to manufacture.
Furthermore, EP 0 801 189 B1 discloses a soffit connection profile which has an inner frame fastening leg and an opposing outer leg with a vertically angled plastering web, the frame fastening leg and the outer leg being connected to one another in this way by two spaced-apart connecting webs made of elastically bendable material are connected that the legs are parallel to each other and perpendicular to each other. The frame attachment leg is attached to the window frame with an adhesive tape. The main disadvantages are that relative movements in the window plane, but not in the vertical direction away from the window frame, can absorb sufficient tensile loads from the connection profile, so that detachments in the adhesive area can occur.
Furthermore, relatively large areas of the connection profile remain visible after installation.
The object of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to provide a soffit connection profile with which a permanent seal between plaster or spatula connections and the adjacent components can be achieved on the one hand and a vertical movement or tensile load in one on the other sufficient direction away from the adjacent component is permitted. Furthermore, the reveal connection profile should be easy to manufacture and assemble.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the outer leg is connected to the sealing leg via a flexible tab or a foldable element. Furthermore, the outer leg has a cover strip projecting in the direction of the component, which covers the gap between the sealing leg and outer leg and, if appropriate, the narrow side of the sealing leg facing away from the reveal.
According to the invention, the soffit connection profile thus consists of two profile parts, a sealing leg attached to the component with the sealing tape and the sealing leg connected only with a flexible tab or a foldable element, so that - depending on the dimension of the flexible elements - relative movements in all directions (also in the direction) tensile stress) of several millimeters are possible. The two profile parts can be connected to one another in any design using a flexible material (eg soft PVC, TPE, etc.). It is also possible to produce the flexible flap or the connection between the sealing leg and the outer leg by thinning the material.
According to the invention, the outer leg, the sealing leg and the flexible flap or the foldable element can be produced together, for example by co-extrusion.
In a development of the invention, the cover strip has a sealing lip made of an elastic material and extending in the direction of the component.
If there is a lifting of the sealing lip attached to the cover strip due to a relative movement between the component and the adjacent facade, it is advantageous if the sealing leg also has sealing lips made of an elastic material on one or both sides of the sealing tape.
This ensures a tight connection and protection of the sealing tape even with larger relative movements.
Since a stable profile is required for problem-free installation, the sealing leg and the outer leg are fixed to one another before the soffit connection profile is installed. In addition to mechanical fixation, for example a snap or snap connection, the sealing leg and the outer leg can be connected to one another with an adhesive, for example with a double-sided adhesive tape, the adhesive force of the adhesive or the adhesive tape being less than the adhesive force of the sealing tape. When tension or movements occur, the connection between the sealing leg and the outer leg is released before the connection between the sealing leg and the component is released.
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to drawings.
1 shows a soffit connection profile according to the invention in a first
Design variant in an oblique view, Fig. 2 shows the connection profile
1 in a profile view and FIGS. 3 to 6 a detail of the soffit connection profile in different design variants.
The reveal connection profile 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 for components 10 adjacent to plaster has a sealing leg 2, which is equipped on the component side with a sealing tape 3 and is connected to an outer leg 4. A relative movement both in the plane of the installation part 10 and in a direction leading away from the installation part 10 is made possible by a flexible movement
Tab 5 or a foldable element 5 'added, which (s) connects the sealing leg 2 with the outer leg 4. The outer leg 4 has a plaster bar 13 which is angled substantially perpendicularly thereto.
An optically appealing external view is ensured in that the outer leg 4 has a cover strip 6 which projects in the direction of the component 10 and which projects beyond the gap 7 between the sealing leg 2 and the outer leg 4.
Furthermore, the cover strip 6 also covers the narrow side 8 of the sealing leg 2 facing away from the reveal. The outer leg 4, the plaster web 13 and the cover strip 6 form a cross section which is essentially T-shaped in the embodiment variant shown. At the installation end of the cover strip 6, a sealing lip 9 made of an elastic material is arranged.
In the example shown, the sealing leg 2 has a sealing tape 3 as a fastening means, with which the soffit connection profile 1 is glued onto the component 10. Sealing lips or protective tabs 11, 12 made of soft or hard material can be attached to both sides of the sealing tape 3.
However, it is also possible to mechanically seal the sealing leg 2 z. B. by screwing to component 10.
The cover strip 6 has a plaster extraction edge 14 or plaster extraction surface on the side facing the component 10. To protect the components 10 adjacent to the plaster, the soffit connection profile 1 has a detachable protective leg 15 with an adhesive tape 16 for receiving a cover film, which is preferably fastened via a predetermined breaking point 17 in the region of the plaster extraction edge 14 or plaster extraction surface. A locking device 18 for a plaster reinforcement fabric 19 can be provided on the side of the outer leg 4 facing away from the sealing leg 2. The reinforcing fabric 19 can also be attached to the plastering web 13.
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
3 to 6 show different design variants of the elastic and movable connection of the sealing leg 2 with the outer leg 4, the flexible tab 5 in FIGS. 3 and 4 starting from the narrow sides of the outer leg 4 and the sealing leg 2. As can be seen, for example, from FIG. 3, the outer leg 4 can be lifted by several millimeters from the sealing leg 2 in the direction indicated by the arrow 21 when there is a tensile load. In comparison, the installation situation is shown in FIG. 1, in which the sealing leg 2 and the outer leg 4 are fixed to one another. It is advantageous to fix the sealing leg and the outer leg 4 to one another with an adhesive, for example with a double-sided adhesive tape 20, where the adhesive force of the adhesive or
Adhesive tape 20 is less than the adhesive force of the sealing tape 3.
As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a foldable element 5 'can also be provided, which starts from the facing surfaces of the outer leg 4 and the sealing leg 2. In all cases, a tight connection is ensured even after a relative movement of several millimeters.
