<Desc/Clms Page number 3>

The invention relates to a soffit connection profile for components adjacent to plaster, in particular for window or door frames with a sealing leg which has a plaster removal surface, and a fastening leg which can be anchored in the plaster and is arranged substantially normal to the sealing plane of the sealing leg.
DE 297 07 804 Ul discloses a soffit connection profile for plaster or spatula connections to adjacent components, for example to the frames of windows or doors, the sealing legs of which are sealed off from the adjacent component only by protruding sealing lips. In the absence of a firm connection between the fastening leg and the adjacent component, it cannot be prevented that dirt and moisture penetrate between the sealing leg and the component, especially after a long period of inactivity, and that there is no permanent water and windproofness between the component and the facade.
Furthermore, DE 42 29 080 A1 discloses a soffit connection profile for plaster connections on a window frame, the sealing leg of which is glued to the window frame by means of a self-adhesive sealing compound. The connection profile according to DE 42 29 080 A1 has a strip-shaped protective flap on the side facing away from the house wall, which is supported on the window frame with the aid of a spacer and can be separated from the reveal connection profile along a predetermined breaking point. The protective flap is used to fasten a film with which the window sash can be covered during the plastering work. After plastering, the protective flap can be removed along the predetermined breaking point, after which the adhesive area becomes visible and is exposed to the weather.
DE 200 11 013 Ul describes a soffit connection profile which is connected to a component with a self-adhesive sealing tape. In order to protect the sealing tape against the effects of the weather, an elastic sealing lip is provided in front, which, in the area of a predetermined breaking point for a film fastening leg, is pressed obliquely forward onto the adjacent component, for example the support strip for a roller shutter. After a relatively short service life, the sealing lip differs in color from the component or the facade, as a result of which the visual appearance is disturbed. Furthermore, the tight ventilation to the component can prevent the ventilation of the profile or the drying out of condensate.

A disadvantage of the reveal connection profiles to be glued is that they are sometimes large
Manipulation effort with the correct positioning of the profiles.
The object of the invention is to avoid these disadvantages and to provide a soffit connection profile which, on the one hand, minimizes the manipulation effort on the construction site and, on the other hand, is intended to achieve a permanent seal between plaster or spatula connections and the adjacent components.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the sealing leg is wedge-shaped and has at least one undercut on the surface facing away from the component, the wedge-shaped region of the sealing leg being insertable between the component and an adjacent insulation layer. Advantageously, the soffit connection profile according to the invention is not glued to the adjacent component, for example a window or door frame, but can be inserted between the window or door frame and the insulation layer after the application of a first layer of insulation.
Since the profile is wedge-shaped in the insertion area and is provided with undercuts for better clawing in the insulation material, permanent fixation of the reveal connection profile can be achieved in a simple manner.
According to the invention, the sealing leg has at least one, preferably co-extruded, elastic sealing element on the side facing the component, which is arranged in at least one recess of the sealing leg.
When the profile is inserted between the window or door frame and the insulation, the co-extruded sealing element is pre-tensioned in such a way that a connection between the component and the insulation that is tight against wind and driving rain is created.
According to the invention, one of the elastic sealing elements is deformable in such a way that a connection to the adjacent component that is flush with the plaster extraction surface can be produced in the installed state of the reveal connection profile.
According to an advantageous embodiment variant of the invention, the elastic sealing elements have an essentially mushroom-shaped cross section, the head region which is deformable during installation being anchored in each of one of the recesses of the sealing leg by an elastic base region.
According to the invention, particular advantages when applying the reinforcing compound and the noble plaster layer result from the fact that a deducting surface for applying the reinforcing compound is arranged between the plaster removal surface and the fastening leg.
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
For a crack-free connection to the plaster layer, a glass fiber fabric strip or a plaster reinforcement strip, which is preferably laminated or glued, can be attached to the fastening leg, preferably on the side facing away from the insulation layer.
For better clawing of the reinforcing compound, the fastening leg can have openings or perforations according to the invention.
Because the soffit connection profile is not glued to the window or door frame, but is inserted between the window or door frame and an insulation layer, the fastening leg can be made much higher than with conventional, glued connection profiles, without being disruptive when applying the insulation layer. In particular, the fastening leg can have a length 11 which, for example, is equal to or twice as long as the total length 12 of the sealing leg.
According to a further development of the invention, it is provided that the surfaces of the fastening leg and the withdrawal surface for the reinforcing compound facing away from the insulation layer have ribs, grooves or undercuts for anchoring in the reinforcing compound and in the plaster.
In order to attach a protective film to cover the windows or doors, according to the invention a protective leg that can be subsequently bent is provided, which is removed after the plastering. It is also possible to provide a protective film which is glued to the sealing leg and extends beyond the plaster extraction surface.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to drawings.
1 shows a soffit connection profile according to the invention in a first embodiment variant in an oblique view in the installed state, FIG. 2 shows the connection profile according to FIG. 1 in a profile view, and FIG. 3 shows a second and FIG. 4 a third embodiment variant of the soffit connection profile in an oblique view ,
In the exemplary embodiments, functionally identical components are provided with the same reference symbols.
The soffit connection profile 1 shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is used for components 10 adjacent to plaster 11, in particular for window or door frames. The soffit connection profile 1 has a sealing leg 2, which is wedge-shaped and has at least one undercut 3 on the surface facing away from the component 10. The wedge-shaped area of the sealing
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
Ice 2 is pressed or hammered in between component 10 and an adjacent insulation layer 14 (see FIG. 1) and is fixed with the aid of the undercut 3. A fastening leg 4, which is oriented essentially normal to the sealing leg 2, serves for anchoring in the plaster 11.
At the end facing away from the reveal, the sealing leg 2 has a plaster extraction surface 5, which can be designed as a plaster leg 6 and is oriented essentially parallel to the fastening leg 4.
On the side facing the component 10, the sealing leg 2 has two preferably co-extruded, elastic sealing elements 7, 7 ′, which are each arranged in a recess 20 or 20 ′ of the sealing leg 2 and are elastically prestressed. After installation of the soffit connection profile 1, the front sealing element 7 ′ is deformed such that a connection to the component 10 that is flush with the plaster extraction surface 5 of the sealing leg 2 is produced (see FIG. 1).
Each of the elastic sealing elements 7, 7 ′ can either be designed as a deformable hollow body or have a substantially mushroom-shaped cross section, the head region 24 deformable during installation being anchored in each of one of the recesses 20, 20 ′ of the sealing leg 2 by an elastic base region 25 , It is also possible to design the elastic sealing element 7 or 7 ′ as a full profile.
A deduction surface 23 for applying a reinforcing compound 11 ′ is provided between the plaster extraction surface 5 and the fastening leg 4. For better anchoring in the reinforcement compound, a glass fiber fabric strip or a plaster reinforcement strip 26 is fastened overlapping on the fastening leg 4, preferably on the side facing away from the insulation layer 14, this preferably being laminated or glued on.
As shown in FIG. 2, the fastening leg 4 preferably has a length 11 which is equal to or twice as long as the total length 12 of the sealing leg 2. For better integration into the reinforcing compound, the fastening leg 4 has openings or perforations 28.
The surfaces of the fastening limb 4 and the withdrawal surface 23 facing away from the insulation layer 14 for the reinforcing compound 11 ′ have ribs or grooves 8, which likewise improve the anchoring of the reinforcing compound 11 ′ or. the plaster 11 serve.
The reveal connection profiles 1 in the design variants according to FIGS. 1 and 3, which can only be seen in the laminated glass fiber fabric strip 26 (see
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
1), have a detachable protective leg 16, which is supported on the component 10 with the aid of at least one spacer web 17 and has a double-sided adhesive tape 18 on the side facing away from the component 10 for receiving a cover film. On the side of the protective leg 16 facing away from the component 10, a web 21 for guiding a smoothing trowel can be arranged, which facilitates the removal of the fine plaster 11. After the plastering work has been carried out, the protective leg 16 can be severed along a predetermined breaking line 19.
The soffit connection profile in the embodiment variant according to FIG. 4 has a protective film 27 which is glued to the sealing leg 2 and extends beyond the plaster extraction surface 5 and protects the window or door frame during the plastering work. After the plastering work has been completed, the protective film 27 is pulled off the sealing leg 2.
