  5. The method as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the elastomeric polymer (5) is a TPU or TPE (thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer) or a PUR-based or EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) -based hot melt system.
  6. The method as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the interconnection of the gutter edges or gutter folding edges with each other and with the elastomeric polymer (5) is realised through moulding or spraying or dispensing or by thermoplastic injection moulding or by means of a reaction injection moulding (RIM) technique.
  7. The method as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the elastic polymer (5) has a hardness of between 20 and 70 Shore A, in particular a hardness of between 40 and 50 Shore A, and/or in that the front side and the rear side of the book cover or binding (2) are formed in a compressed manner in the area of the elastomeric polymer, the degree of compression being preferably between 10 % and 30 %, in particular more than 20 %, of the thickness of the binding or book cover (2).
  8. The method as claimed in any of the preceding claims, characterised in that
    - the data pages (3) and the security laminate (4) are disposed between two component parts (10, 11) of a die (9) and in that the front side and the rear side of the binding or book cover (2) are disposed respectively between the die components (10, 12) and between the die components (11, 13), and
    - a force is applied to the die components (10, 11, 12, 13) and the adhesive (5) is cast or injected in the area of the gutters, such that the adhesive (5) extends over all of the data pages (3), the security laminate (4) as well as the front side and the rear side of the binding or book cover (2), entering into, and thoroughly filling, the perforation holes (6) .
  9. The method as claimed in claim 8, characterised in that, while the die (9) is open, an additional die component is placed thereon, aimed at forming a three-dimensional book spine.
  10. The method of fabricating a book-like document of value (1) as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 9, characterised in that the front side and the rear side of the book cover or binding (2) made of elastomeric polymer are created by means of insert moulding and in that at the same time the elastomeric polymer (5) is pressed, or injected, into the perforation holes (6) which have previously been formed in the data pages (3) and/or the security laminate (4), thus holding them together in the form of a booklet, and in that preferably the book covers or bindings (2) have a thickness of between 0.5 and 1.2 mm, in particular a thickness of between 0.6 and 1.0 mm, and/or in that in the fold region of the data pages and at the edge of the security laminate (4), the perforation holes (6) have a diameter of between 50 µm and 1,000 µm, in particular between 100 µm and 800 µm, preferably between 200 and 600 µm, and/or in the inner fold region, a slip having a thickness in the range of the diameter of the perforation holes (6) and a length of preferably between 3 and 10 mm is formed by injection moulding, and in that the surfaces are preferably moulded into three-dimensional shapes and in that, in particular, an inscription is formed thereon in a raised or recessed manner.
  11. The method as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 10, characterised in that the front side and the rear side of the book cover or binding (2) are made of elastomeric polymer (5) by means of insert moulding and in that preferably a graphically designed, thermoplastic foil is placed into the injection moulding die (in-mould decoration).
  12. The method as claimed in claim 11, characterised in that the thermoplastic foil is made of a transparent polycarbonate and preferably has a graphical design at its inner side or in that the thermoplastic foil made of opaque polycarbonate including the graphical design is laminated together with a transparent overlay foil and is inserted into the die with the surface having the overlay foil facing thereto, thus forming the outer surface of the book cover, the polycarbonate laminate having smaller dimensions as compared to the format of the book cover so that the elastomeric polymer (5) forms a margin on the book cover (2).
  13. The method as claimed in any one of claims 11 to 12, characterised in that a security laminate (4) including personalised or non-personalised holes is integrated in the front side of the book cover or binding (2) made of elastomeric polymer (5), said elastomeric polymer (5) being injection moulded from the inner surface of the book cover or binding (2) in such a manner that it passes onto the outer surface thereof by penetrating through the holes formed in the security laminate (4), a lens-like, raised structure being created on the front side of the book cover by the elastomeric polymer (5) passing through the holes in the security laminate (4) .
  14. A security document and/or document of value, in particular a passport booklet, which may preferably be obtained in a manner as claimed in any one of claims 1 to 13, comprising a front side and a rear side of a binding or book cover (2), a plurality of data pages (3), and at least one security laminate (4) including personalisation data, with at least the data pages (3) and the security laminate (4) being adhered to each other, by means of an adhesive (5), along the gutter edges or gutter folding edges, which are arranged parallel to each other in a stack, the adhesive (5) being an elastomeric polymer (5), the adhesive (5) entering into, and thoroughly filling, a plurality of perforation holes (6) which are realised in the area of the gutter edges and/or gutter folding edges of the security laminate (4) and/or of the data pages (3), characterised in that the adhesive (5) made of elastomeric polymer interconnects the front side and the rear side of the binding or book cover (2) and the gutter edges or gutter folding edges of the security laminate (4) and the data pages (3) in the area of the book spine, thus forming a permanently elastic book spine adhesive bond.
