Claims (9)
- Method for changing printing plates on a cylinder,
comprising the following rotation steps including- a first rotation of the cylinder (3) in a first direction (7) to dismount a first printing plate (5) from the circumferential surface (4) of the cylinder (3),- a second rotation of the cylinder (3) in an opposite second direction (8) to mount a second printing plate (6) replacing said first printing plate (5) to the circumferential surface (4) of the cylinder (3),and the steps of opening including- opening a first clamping device (9) and releasing a leading edge (5a) of said first printing plate (5),- opening a second clamping device (10) and releasing a trailing edge (5b) of said first printing plate (5),wherein said first clamping device (9) and said second clamping device (10) are both opened before the first rotation of said cylinder (3),

in that said first clamping device (9) and said second clamping device (10) both remain open during an intermediate rotation in the second direction, said intermediate rotation occurring between said first and second rotations. - Method according to claim 1,

in that the first clamping device (9) and the second clamping device (10) both remain open during the first rotation. - Method according to claim 2,

in that the first clamping device (9) and the second clamping device (10) both remain open during the period between the first rotation and the second rotation. - Method according to claim 3,

in that the first clamping device (9) is closed before the second rotation. - Method according to claim 4,

in that the second clamping device (10) is closed after the second rotation. - Method according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising the steps of providing a device for implementing the method, said device comprising a cylinder and- a releasable first check valve (21) in a first pneumatic line (17) to the first clamping device (9),- a releasable second check valve (22) in a second pneumatic line (18) to the second clamping device (10).
- Method according to claim 6,

by connecting said first check valve (21) with the second pneumatic line (18) via a first control line (23) provided for release purposes. - Method according to claim 7,

by connecting said second check valve (22) with a third pneumatic line (19) via a second control line (24) provided for release purposes. - Method according to any one of claims 6 or 7,

by arranging the first and second check valves (21, 22) in the interior (3b) of the cylinder (3).
