Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for retaining a boot on a gliding board as well as a gliding device comprising a gliding board, such as a cross-country ski or ski touring equipped with said retaining device.
  • a retaining device is sometimes referred to as a "stop", “front stop” or "attachment”.
  • a gliding device is a piece of equipment on which a person stands when using this device for the practice of a gliding sport, while being hooked by at least one of his shoes. on this machine.
  • the ski In the case of classic or alternative cross-country skiing, the ski is cambered and defines, under the boot, an area which, by default, is not in contact with the snow. This area constitutes a "wax room". In this zone, grip wax can be added to increase the grip of the ski on the snow in order to prevent the ski from rolling back, which makes it possible to exert effective thrust with the foot.
  • grip wax By modifying the longitudinal position of a device for retaining the boot on the ski, it is possible to adjust the contact zone between the ski and the snow according to the weight exerted by the skier, favoring sliding or hook. When turning, the skier has to lift one ski to bring it back towards the other ski.
  • the lifted ski is connected to the skier only by the front end of the boot and it is important that the ski is correctly balanced. If the ski leans forward or backward, it can touch the snow, which can slow the skier down or throw him off balance. Adjusting the length of a device for retaining a boot on the ski therefore makes it possible to adjust the balance of the ski in this raised configuration.
  • the document WO-A-2005/113081 describes notches on elastically deformable tabs of a retaining device for a cross-country ski boot, these notches being intended to cooperate with complementary notches provided on a ski.
  • the longitudinal immobilization of the retaining device along the ski depends on the rigidity of the tabs.
  • inadvertent attachment of one or the other of the tabs can separate the retaining device from the ski and lead to an undesired movement, forwards or backwards. To avoid this risk, it is then necessary to increase the stiffness of these tabs, which makes the longitudinal adjustment operation difficult without tools.
  • the document WO-A-2015/140258 offers a locking mechanism with a deformable tab provided with a notch. Locking is obtained by clipping or interference with a sliding plate. With this construction, there is a limited risk of acting on the deformable tongue. In these examples, the lock is exposed to external elements such as packed snow or ice which can accumulate in this area and disturb the locking mechanism and/or the actuation of the deformable tongue. In addition, the user may have doubts about the actuation of the lock after adjustment of the longitudinal position.
  • the document EP1839713 A1 discloses a device for retaining a shoe on a gliding board according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a device for retaining a boot on an improved gliding board.
  • One aim is in particular to provide a mechanism for adjusting the longitudinal position of a retaining device on a reliable gliding board.
  • Another object is to provide a mechanism for adjusting the longitudinal position of a retaining device on a gliding board that is easy to use, in particular without tools.
  • Another object is to propose a mechanism for adjusting the longitudinal position of a retaining device on a gliding board for which the user is sure of having a locked longitudinal position in use.
  • the article is characterized in that it comprises a holding means making it possible to hold the longitudinal stop element in a stable active position, independently of the position of the locking means.
  • the locking means when the user actuates the mechanism for holding his boot, the locking means systematically locks the longitudinal stop element.
  • the locking means is implemented. It is then no longer possible to deactivate the longitudinal arresting element, that is to say to move it relative to its active configuration, so that the longitudinal immobilization of the retaining device relative to the gliding device is durable and secure. With this securing, the user is assured that the adjustment of the longitudinal position of the retaining device of his shoe will remain unchanged as long as his shoe is in engagement with the binding. Furthermore, this construction makes it possible to design a longitudinal immobilization mechanism requiring little handling effort and therefore operable without tools.
  • the invention also relates to a gliding device comprising a gliding board and a retaining device.
  • the gliding device comprises an interface arranged between the gliding board and the retaining device, the interface bearing the complementary indexings.
  • the additional indexings are provided on an insert removably mounted on the interface.
  • the gliding device comprises mechanical and/or visual indexing means making it possible to position the retaining device (1) in one or more predetermined, relatively stable longitudinal positions.
  • the invention relates to a gliding assembly 4 comprising a gliding board 3 extending along a longitudinal axis X3, an interface 2 fixed to the upper face 32 of the ski 3 opposite its gliding surface 31 and a retaining device 1 d a boot 5, or binding, mounted on the interface with the possibility of sliding relative to the ski 3, along its longitudinal axis X.
  • the interface 2 is immobilized on the ski 3 by any appropriate means. This can be by gluing or by screws.
  • the interface 2 has an upper face 20 and comprises a central part 21 and two lateral wings 22 which extend on either side of the central part 21.

  • the notches 232 are heavily stressed because they are the ones that hold the retaining device in position, along the longitudinal direction X parallel to the longitudinal axis X2 of the interface.
  • the dimensioning of these notches must be able to be housed in a small space, preferably in the thickness of the interface.
  • the insert may be metallic while the rest of the interface is made of plastic.
