Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a spinning rotor for an open-end spinning device with a rotor shaft, via which the spinning rotor by means of a belt, in particular a tangential belt, is drivable.
  • the rotor shaft has a contact area for the belt.
  • spinning rotors of open-end spinning machines it has long been customary to drive them by means of a tangential belt which rests on the shaft of the spinning rotor.

  • the belt is pressed onto the rotor shaft with an additional drive roller in order to reduce the slip between the belt and the rotor shaft. It can also be provided to change the contact pressure of the pressure roller to allow, for example, a faster run-up of the spinning rotors or to allow adaptation to different spinning materials or the like.
  • Such an open-end spinning device with a pressure roller which can be acted upon with a different contact pressure is shown, for example, in DE 101 07 254 A1. Due to the slippage between the belt and the rotor shaft, however, both the belt and the spinning rotor may wear despite the pressure roller.
  • Object of the present invention is therefore to propose a spinning rotor and an open-end spinning device, which are operable with a low power consumption.

  • An "elastomeric material” in the context of the present invention is understood to mean an elastically deformable material based on plastics or rubber.
  • Elastic deformable is a material with a modulus of elasticity of less than 1000 MPa.
  • the contact pressure of the pressure roller can be reduced, nevertheless achieving good force transmission between the belt and the spinning rotor.
  • the load of the spinning rotor between see the two bearings can be reduced thereby, so that the flexing work in the support disks and thus the energy consumption of the spinning device can be reduced. It is also particularly advantageous in this case that the radial position load of the support disk bearing is thereby reduced and thus the life of the bearing can be extended.

  • the covering has an overall width which is less than the width of the belt provided for driving the spinning rotor. According to another embodiment, however, it is also conceivable that the covering in the form of a plurality of spaced apart with respect to the axial direction of the rotor shaft juxtaposed strip is applied to the rotor shaft. • the lining thickness is not more than 1 mm, preferably max. 0.75 mm and more preferably max. 0.5 mm. Due to the improved transmission of the movement of the belt 3 on the rotor shaft 2, the acceleration times for the spinning rotor 1 during piecing can also be significantly shortened, so that thereby the machine efficiency effect is improved. Likewise, the operating speeds of the spinning rotor 1 can be achieved faster and safer and kept constant.
  • the improved design of the spinning rotor 2 with a friction-increasing coating therefore also contributes to the production of a higher-quality yarn.
