Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a floor cleaning machine with a side brush arrangement according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Floor cleaning machines known from the prior art such as scrubber-driers, have a cleaning device with rotating brushes, such as roller brushes, for engaging a floor surface to be cleaned, the cleaning device being arranged between a front axle arrangement and a rear axle arrangement of the cleaning machine. It is desirable that the distance between the axle arrangements is as small as possible so that the machine is easy to maneuver, but so that the space between the axle arrangements is limited. However, with such machines it is necessary to provide a side brush arrangement which sweeps dirt from areas in front of the cleaning device that are not directly covered by the cleaning device, since this dirt would otherwise reach the area of a suction foot attached to the rear part of the machine and soil it.
  • the side brushes should be adjustable transversely to the direction of travel and in particular they should be able to avoid obstacles laterally towards the center of the machine.
  • a floor cleaning machine is known with a side broom arrangement with a frame element which is fastened to the machine frame, wherein the frame element extends along a pivot plane which is oriented perpendicular to a floor surface to be cleaned. Furthermore, a side broom is provided which is driven to rotate about an axis of rotation, wherein the axis of rotation is oriented such that, when the side broom arrangement is attached to a floor cleaning machine, it extends upwards away from the floor surface to be cleaned. Finally, a side broom carrier is provided on which the side broom is rotatably mounted, wherein the side broom carrier is mounted on the frame element such that it can execute a movement in the pivot plane.
  • the floor cleaning machine according to the invention has a side brush arrangement with a frame element which is fastened to the machine frame of the floor cleaning machine, wherein the frame element extends along a pivot plane A which can be aligned perpendicular to a floor surface to be cleaned.

  • first pivot axes, about which the first ends of the first connecting arm and the second connecting arm are pivotally connected to the frame element have a first distance from each other
  • second pivot axes, about which the second ends of the first connecting arm and the second connecting arm are pivotally connected to the side brush carrier have a second distance from each other, which is equal to the first distance
  • first and second pivot axes, about which the first connecting arm is pivotally connected to the frame element and the side brush carrier have a third distance
  • the first and second pivot axes, about which the second connecting arm is pivotally connected to the frame element and the side brush carrier have a fourth distance, wherein the third distance is equal to the fourth distance.
