Definitions

  • the invention relates to a discharge head for a liquid dispenser for the discharge of cosmetic liquids, in particular for a liquid dispenser designed as a sponge dispenser.
  • a discharge head of the generic type has a base to be fastened to a liquid reservoir with a coupling device, in particular in the manner of a thread or a latching coupling device, for coupling to the liquid reservoir. It is intended to be attached to a correspondingly designed liquid storage device in which the liquid is stored without pressure.
  • the discharge head also has an applicator section which, in the case of a sponge dispenser, is designed as a sponge carrier and has a sponge holder in which a sponge is arranged.
  • a sponge dispenser is known in which a discharge head as a whole can be displaced in order to actuate a pump of the sponge dispenser.
  • the sponge can be displaced to actuate a bottle-integrated pump or to open a bottle-integrated aerosol valve of an associated pressure accumulator.
  • a sponge dispenser is also known, which is placed on a compressed gas pack with a spray valve.
  • a dispenser is known in which a sponge is designed to be displaceable and, depending on the position, can be fed with liquid from a liquid store through external grooves.
  • a sponge dispenser with two valves which jointly delimit a metering chamber and which can be opened or closed by pressing in the sponge, so that a pre-metered amount of liquid is supplied to the sponge.
  • a valve for supplying the sponge with liquid can be opened by applying force to the sponge.
  • DE 172 226 C. discloses a discharge head for a liquid dispenser according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • None of the known systems desirably combines the advantages of simple handling and a continuous supply of liquid to the sponge while at the same time effectively preventing unintentionally escaping liquid and low manufacturing costs.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a discharge head which can be used in particular for sponge dispensers and which allows a continuous and safe discharge of liquid via a sponge with inexpensive production.
  • the sponge carrier is guided such that it can be displaced relative to the base and has a hollow connection piece, within which a liquid channel is provided which connects the liquid reservoir to the sponge holder.
  • This liquid channel is assigned an outlet valve which can be opened by displacing the sponge carrier in the direction of the base, so that liquid can flow freely from the liquid reservoir into the sponge holder in order to be absorbed by the sponge for subsequent dispensing, in particular on the skin of a user .
  • the sponge carrier of such a discharge head according to the invention can, as a whole, be displaced translationally relative to the base and, for this purpose, guided translationally on the base. This shift from a starting position to an indented position leads to the opening of the outlet valve, so that the sponge can be supplied with liquid through the hollow connector.
  • the outlet valve which can be opened by moving the sponge carrier and the hollow socket, is the only valve between the liquid reservoir and the sponge. If it is opened by pressing in the sponge carrier, the liquid can thus flow with suitable alignment of the dispenser without further pressure to the sponge holder and feed the sponge there.
  • the liquid flow with which the sponge is fed depends on the degree of opening of the valve by pressing in the sponge carrier and thus on a discharge head with a spring device described below on the pressing force and on the angle of inclination of the dispenser as a whole and can therefore be metered well.
  • the sponge can be a sponge customary in the cosmetics sector, for example made of cellulose and / or cotton fibers. Especially in conventional applications, only slightly deformable sponges are regarded as preferred for a discharge head according to the invention.
  • the sponge is part of the sponge carrier and can be attached to it and exchangeable for the end customer.
  • the sponge can be accommodated in a bowl-shaped sponge receptacle and can be held here in a non-positive manner.
  • the liquid channel provided in the hollow connector preferably opens directly into the sponge holder.
  • the hollow nozzle with the integrated liquid channel which is movable as part of the sponge carrier relative to the base, creates the connection between the liquid reservoir and the sponge holder.
  • the hollow carrier preferably extends at least in the pressed-in state of the sponge carrier over a sealing plane between the liquid reservoir and the discharge head and thus with the liquid reservoir coupled into it, so that no further liquid-carrying components have to be provided.
  • the hollow connector is preferably also used for movable attachment to the base, in particular in that it is attached at the end to a spring device or sealing element in the manner described below, or is positively captively attached to the base.
  • the hollow connector can be constructed from two or more components, as will also be explained below.
  • the base or a spring device provided on the base can have an opening through which the hollow connector of the sponge carrier protrudes.
  • the sponge carrier can have an expansion at one end of the hollow connector facing away from the sponge receptacle, which positively counteracts a separation of the base or spring device on the one hand and the sponge carrier on the other.
  • the hollow connector is fixed in place on the opening in the spring device by means of the widening.
  • the hollow connector and with it the entire sponge carrier are slidably attached to the base.
  • the sponge carrier can have two separate components which are attached to one another in a stationary manner and together form the hollow connector.
  • a first of the two components of the sponge carrier has the sponge receptacle and an outer sleeve of the hollow socket extending therefrom.
  • a second of the two components has the expansion.
  • the use of two components to form the hollow connector is also advantageous because it can be used to easily form the inlet between the two components through which liquid can get into the liquid channel.
  • the interior of the two components in particular the component forming the widening at the end of the hollow connector, can be designed as a partially slotted component, the slot being able to form the liquid channel in the hollow connector.
  • the two components of the sponge carrier can be connected to one another by a latching connection, the first component particularly preferably having the hollow connector and the second component having a latching section which extends through the hollow connector and / or is locked within the hollow connector.
  • the partially slotted construction mentioned is also advantageous for this latching, since this allows latching elements on two subsections of the slotted component to be deflected against one another with little effort for assembly purposes.
  • the discharge head has a spring device, by means of which the sponge carrier of the discharge head is subjected to force pointing away from the base.
  • the spring force of this spring device largely determines the force with which the sponge carrier must be pressed down in order to open the outlet valve.
  • a soft spring can be used here, which can already be deflected at a force at which no significant deformation of the sponge takes place. The liquid supply of the sponge can thus be controlled without negatively impacting compression of the sponge.
  • a particularly simple variant of a spring device provides that the spring device is designed as a simple helical spring, which acts between the sponge carrier and the base and is arranged on the outside of the hollow connector. Since such a spring is not in liquid contact, it can be designed as a metal spring. A design as a plastic spring is also possible.
  • the spring device has an elastically deformable spring plate with a central elevation, which is fastened to the base in an outer region and is fastened to the sponge carrier in the region of the elevation, in particular on the hollow socket thereof.
  • a spring is quite inexpensive and is also suitable for a discharge head according to the invention, since no large displacement path of the sponge carrier relative to the base is required here.
  • a spring device in the form of a spring plate with elevation can also perform other functions.
  • Such a spring device can be formed from a flexible, elastic plastic material, which is also suitable as a bottle seal and can also form a valve surface of the outlet valve. This will be explained further below.
  • the spring device is preferably made of a different plastic than the base, but can be formed in one piece with the base by means of multi-component injection molding.
  • an opening is provided in the spring plate in the region of the elevation, through which liquid is conducted to take up the sponge.
  • This opening can in particular also serve to secure the hollow connector in the manner mentioned above.
  • the discharge head can have an aeration channel, by means of which compensating air can flow into the liquid reservoir after removal of liquid from an environment.
  • aeration channel by means of which compensating air can flow into the liquid reservoir after removal of liquid from an environment.
  • air can be advantageous for the dispensing of liquid via the sponge if the inflow of air takes place via a separate path.
  • the provision of a separate ventilation channel is also advantageous in order to prevent a negative pressure from forming in the liquid reservoir due to the reduced air permeability of the sponge, which makes it difficult to supply the sponge with liquid.
  • the ventilation duct does not have to be completely separated from the liquid path.
  • a partial section of the ventilation duct can be provided between a surface of the sponge holder facing the sponge and the sponge, in particular through a groove made in the surface and / or the sponge.
  • Such a groove preferably extends from an edge region of the sponge holder to the liquid channel in the hollow connector. It is particularly easy to manufacture as a groove in the sponge holder.
  • the ventilation channel is formed in the area of the outlet valve together with the liquid path, so that the outlet valve prevents both the inflow of liquid into the liquid channel and the ventilation of the liquid reservoir. It is particularly advantageous if the ventilation channel has a greater length from an environment-side inlet to an outlet on the liquid storage side than the liquid channel from the inlet on the liquid storage side to the sponge-side outlet.
  • a comparatively hard sponge can be used, in particular a sponge made of a material which is offered under the trade name POREX and / or from a porous plastic material.
  • the sponge can have a Shore A hardness of at least 40, preferably at least 60, particularly preferably at least 80. Because of its inherent stability, such a sponge allows a particularly targeted discharge of liquid.
  • the sponge is slanted in sections on an application side with respect to a direction of displacement of the sponge carrier, preferably at least 50% the application side is inclined at a uniform angle, in particular preferably inclined such that a normal vector on the application side encloses an angle between 10 ° and 30 ° with the direction of displacement of the sponge carrier.
  • the shape of the sponge can also be specially designed in a cross-sectional plane of the sponge that extends orthogonally to the direction of displacement of the sponge carrier. This is particularly favored by the preferred, comparatively rigid design of the sponge.
  • a shape can be provided that deviates from a circular shape and a rectangular shape, particularly preferably an elliptical shape, a polygonal shape or the shape of a heart or another motif. Such a design can serve aesthetic purposes. In addition, however, the shape can also favor the particularly targeted application.
  • a discharge head of the type mentioned at the outset which has a base and an applicator section, in particular in the form of a sponge carrier, which can be displaced in relation to the base in a translationally guided manner.
  • the applicator section has a hollow connection piece, within which a liquid channel is provided, by means of which the applicator section can be fed with liquid from the liquid store.
  • At least one outlet valve for interrupting the supply of liquid to the applicator section is assigned to the liquid channel.
  • the discharge head has a one-piece sealing component on the coupling device, which has a circumferential bottle sealing section which, when the liquid reservoir is coupled, seals a contact area between the base and the fluid reservoir from an environment and is virtually clamped between the base and the fluid reservoir.
  • This sealing component has an inner sealing section which interacts with the hollow connector in such a way that a sliding sealing surface on the inner sealing section interacts with an outside of the hollow connector in such a way that no liquid flows between the sliding sealing surface and the outside of the hollow connector when the hollow connector is moved relative to the inner sealing section can, and / or that a valve body surface provided on the hollow connector rests in an end position of the applicator section on a valve sealing surface of the inner sealing section such that the supply channel is interrupted thereby.
  • This second aspect of the invention is preferably implemented jointly with the first aspect, the said one-piece sealing component being identical to the spring device with spring plate or at the same time forming a seal for the hollow connector.
  • a discharge head according to the second aspect of the invention is preferably also designed with a sponge carrier with a sponge as the applicator section, but can in principle also be designed for another type of application, for example in the manner of a cosmetic pen dispenser.
  • the above for the first aspect of the invention Details mentioned can be realized together or in isolation in the case of a discharge head according to this second aspect of the invention with a sponge carrier with a sponge.
  • the special feature according to the invention in accordance with the second aspect of the invention is that the sealing component, which ensures the tight attachment of the discharge head to the liquid reservoir by means of a bottle sealing section, takes on further functions, so that the discharge head needs only a few components.
  • the inner sealing section of the sealing component can form a valve sealing surface, against which a valve body surface of the hollow connector rests in the closed state of the outlet valve and thus closes the outlet valve.
  • the hollow connector has an expansion at one end, on which the valve body surface is provided. If the hollow connector is displaced with the valve body surface, this valve body surface can hereby be lifted off the valve sealing surface of the inner sealing section, so that a gap is created between the valve sealing surface and the valve body surface, through which the liquid can flow into the hollow connector.
  • the sealing component can be designed as a simple and flat sealing ring, the outside diameter of which is adapted to the dimensions of the base and the liquid reservoir and the inside diameter of which is determined by the outside dimensions of the hollow connector and its widening.
  • the hollow connector is fastened to the inner sealing section of the sealing component, and for this purpose this inner sealing section of the sealing component has a sealing structure which rises above the plane of the bottle sealing section and defines an interior space.
  • the valve body surface on the hollow connector is provided on a valve section of the hollow connector, which is arranged in the interior space mentioned, which is defined by the sealing structure.
  • valve body surface lifts off from the stationary sealing component, but that the sealing component is partially deformed, namely in the region of the sealing structure rising above the bottle sealing section.
  • This is preferably shaped like a dome, with the valve body surface on the hollow socket lying against the inside of this preferably dome-like structure when the outlet valve is closed.
  • the displacement of the hollow socket results in a deformation of the sealing structure, through which the walls lose contact with the valve body surface, so that liquid can flow into the hollow socket.
  • the invention also relates to a liquid dispenser for the discharge of cosmetic liquids.
  • This liquid dispenser has a liquid reservoir with a coupling nozzle for decoupling to a discharge head, and a discharge head with a coupling device for coupling to the liquid reservoir.
  • This discharge head is designed as described above and is therefore particularly preferably designed as a discharge head with a sponge carrier and sponge.
  • the liquid reservoir for the invention with a discharge head according to the invention is intended for filling with cosmetic liquid such as a make-up liquid, which is present there approximately under ambient pressure, that is to say is not pressurized by propellant gas or other means for the purpose of discharge.
  • a discharge head according to the invention is not provided for the use of such a pressure accumulator. Instead, the liquid flows in a suitably inclined orientation of the non-pressurized liquid dispenser due to gravity in the direction of the outlet port of the liquid reservoir and with the outlet valve open into the coupled applicator section, in particular into the sponge carrier.
  • the liquid dispenser preferably has a coupling socket for attaching the discharge head, in particular with an external thread or a geometry suitable for latching.
  • a coupling socket for attaching the discharge head, in particular with an external thread or a geometry suitable for latching.
  • a purely frictional coupling is also conceivable.
  • the liquid storage device is preferably a plastic bottle or a glass bottle, on the bottle neck of which the discharge head is fastened to surround the bottle neck.
  • the liquid reservoir preferably has a wall which is essentially rotationally symmetrical or plane-symmetrical with respect to at least two planes and which defines a central axis of the liquid reservoir.
  • the discharge head and the liquid reservoir are preferably designed and matched to one another such that when the outlet valve is open and the discharge head is oriented in such a way that the central axis encloses an angle of 15 ° with a horizontal, falling towards the discharge head, at least 90% of the liquid can flow out of a completely filled liquid reservoir through the outlet valve and a maximum of 10% remain as residual liquid in the liquid reservoir.
  • the preferably bottle-like liquid reservoir has a slim shape. It is particularly advantageous if the maximum inside diameter of the predominantly preferably cylindrical interior of the liquid storage device is at most 2.5 times as large as the diameter of an outlet opening of the liquid storage device, in particular between 1.5x and 2x as large. Furthermore, it is advantageous if a transition structure is provided between the maximum diameter and the outlet opening of the liquid reservoir, such as, for example, a conical shape or a multi-step taper in order to keep the amount of residual liquid low.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 show an embodiment of a liquid dispenser 10 according to the invention, which is designed as a sponge dispenser.
  • This liquid dispenser 10 has a liquid reservoir 20 designed as a slim plastic bottle, on the coupling neck 22 of which forms the bottle neck, a discharge head 30 is attached.
  • This discharge head 30 in turn has a base 40 with a coupling device 44 provided for the coupling to the coupling stub 22.
  • a sponge carrier 60 forming an applicator section 61, is translationally displaceable relative to this base 40.
  • This sponge carrier 60 has a sponge holder 64 in which a sponge 14 is arranged.
  • the Figures 1 and 2 show the relocability mentioned.
  • the sponge carrier 60 can only be deflected by a comparatively small distance of a few millimeters in the exemplary embodiment shown.
  • Figure 3 exemplifies this.

  • Figure 3 further clarified is due to the shape and in particular the slim shape of the liquid reservoir 20 ensures that even if the liquid dispenser 10 is only slightly downwardly directed, almost the entire volume of liquid can be discharged in the liquid reservoir 20.
  • the remaining amount in the embodiment of Figure 3 remains in the liquid storage is below 3% of the original amount of liquid.
  • the discharge head 30 of this embodiment has, as the main component, the base 40, which is designed with a coupling device 44 in the manner of a latching coupling device, in order to be snapped onto the coupling connector 22 of the liquid reservoir 20.
  • a sealing component 70 is provided, which is clamped in with an external bottle sealing section 72 between the base 40 and the liquid reservoir 20 for the purpose of sealing.
  • the base 40 also has a horizontal wall 42 which is pierced by an opening 46. By means of this opening 46, the sponge carrier 60 functioning as the applicator section 61 is secured to the base 40.

  • the component 80 is slotted in an upper pin segment, so that the locking sections arranged at the end of the two half-pins formed thereby are mutually aligned for the purpose of snapping with the component 62 are deflectable. Since a widening 82 of the component 80 is arranged below the opening 46 in the wall 42 and the main section of the sponge carrier 60, formed by component 62, is arranged above the opening 46, the sponge carrier 60 is thus captive, but movable, at the base 40 secured.
