Claims (15)

  1. Glue roller (2) for applying glue to labels, label strips and/or containers in a labelling device (1), characterised in that
    the surface of the glue roller (2) has a plurality of depressions (11), each in the form of a hexagon,
    the side walls (18) of the hexagon having an inclination of 110° to 140°, preferably 120°, in relation to the surface of the glue roller (2).
  2. Glue roller according to claim 1, wherein all depressions have the same side length (22, 23) and/or the same depth (17) and/or the same inclination (19) of the side walls (18), wherein the side length (22, 23) is measured on the upper edge of the depression (11), i.e., at the level of the non-depressed surface of the glue roller.
  3. Glue roller according to either claim 1 or claim 2, wherein the depressions (11) are arranged in such a way that in each case one edge of each of the depressions (11) and one edge of each adjacent depression (11) are arranged in parallel.
  4. Glue roller according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the depressions (11) are arranged about the entire circumference (14) of the glue roller (2).
  5. Glue roller according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the depressions (11) are arranged over the entire width (13) of the glue roller (2).
  6. Glue roller according to any of the preceding claims, wherein the depressions (11) have a uniform depth (17) apart from the side walls (18).
