Claims (5)

  1. Formwerkzeug (2, 18, 24, 30, 56) zur Verwendung in einer Stranggussmaschine, wobei das Formwerkzeug (2, 18, 24, 30, 56) umfasst:
    eine rohrförmige Struktur, die eine Vielzahl von Wandstrukturen enthält, wobei jede der Außenflächen der Wandstrukturen dafür gestaltet ist, verringerte Dicken mittig zwischen Ecken der Wandstrukturen angeordnet aufzuweisen, um der rohrförmigen Struktur Steifigkeit zum Handhaben von thermischen Lasten während eines Stranggussverfahrens zu verleihen,
    wobei die Innenflächen (8, 48) ein Rechteck definieren, und
    wobei die Außenflächen (10, 20, 26, 32, 50) durch eine konkave Konfiguration definiert sind,
    wobei die konkave Konfiguration (10, 20, 26, 32, 50) durch einen einzelnen Bogen mit einem definierten Radius R definiert ist,
    dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die konkave Konfiguration auf einen selektiven Bereich (58) in der Länge des Formwerkzeugs (2, 18, 24, 30, 56) angewendet wird, wobei der selektive Bereich (58) nur eine Meniskusfläche (60) des Formwerkzeugs einschließt.
  2. Formwerkzeug (2, 18, 24, 30, 56) nach Anspruch 1, wobei die rohrförmige Struktur Kupfer umfasst.
  3. Formwerkzeug (2, 18, 24, 30, 56) nach Anspruch 1, wobei die Wandstrukturen Plattenstrukturen (40-46) umfassen.
  4. Formwerkzeug (2, 18, 24, 30, 56) nach Anspruch 1, wobei die rohrförmige Struktur durch Extrusion von Kupfer oder Hydroformen gebildet wird.
  5. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Formwerkzeugs (2, 18, 24, 30, 56) nach einem der vorstehenden Ansprüche, wobei die rohrförmige Struktur des Formwerkzeugs (2, 18, 24, 30, 56) durch Extrusion von Kupfer oder Hydroformen gebildet wird.
